  1. Good to see the riders intro at the start line last night and a couple of practise laps far better than the 1 lap intro. Just need some lights fitting above the start line before the dark nights return and I will be a happy..lol Credit to Drew last night thought well worth the rider of the night, For Ippo Musielak was awesome proper racer from memory rode decent last year when Brum was in town, Must say get no joy and a little sad to see Nichols struggling, been such a great servant to this sport over the years and gave many of us so much pleasure in his career maybe the championship is now his level in his final year. All good things come to an end and all that.
  2. Fingers crossed with Douglas, nasty fall today for Poznan.. bit naughty switching off coming over the line from the home rider.
  3. Common sense surely is honesty from the polish club advising you are in the team or not for the meeting allowing the rider to ride in x meeting…

  5. Cardiff as many comment was a festival weekend. Not great racing for the purest but many families attending along with European fans for the whole weekend package, city centre draw, bars and guaranteed to see the racing being indoors. i have attended the Belle Vue events and the racing is another level to what we get at Cardiff and many other SGP. Hear lies the Q moving forward. Event organisers are running a corporate business and need to balance the books. Do we the fans pay higher ticket prices for Manchester with a smaller capacity or if organisers risk huge commercial model to put an event on in Cardiff. Would we go… The fan base is no longer strong enough to get Cardiff to even 75% full so big losses. My worry is loosing the major stadiums over the past 5 years. we are going to the old stadiums of yester year that are not to present day standards other than Poland which I visit regularly. It is down to marketing and huge house hold name sponsors to give some injection of funds to drive into new countries ie Spain huge motor sport fans etc….. if not we will just continue to be the minority sport of yesterday year with a huge diminished aging fan base.. kids and youth are the future…..
  6. Attended last night thought for a first meeting was as expected great crowd, track needs to settle. Get more shale down and should make for some good racing plenty of room for passing. Came from Leicester back home for 10.15pm. Luckily we got a parking space outside the entrance gates whilst arriving 6.30ish. Easy to find from junction 15 of the M1. Impressed with Harrison will keep an eye out for him this season. Look forward to returning when the lions visit later this month and hopefully pick up a few other meetings during the season. Huge congratulations to the team in the short period of time to set up this new venture. As some may of noticed my moaning on the lions tread nice to see the racing with the stadium lighting...lol.
  7. I agree, but we’re just the paying public so if you don’t like don’t come along simple…..🤦‍♂️
  8. Well i may sound like a broken record but come on Leicester stadium owner or promotor PLEASE sort the lighting out now beyond a joke. Stand on second bend out of pits or third bend start line is so dark. You have a rig over the start line puts some lights on surely, power runs through there to the starting clock. Cannot believe this is never raised by match referees poor....Before i get negative comments I've supported the sport for years and been around many stadiums both uk and eurpoe this has to be the worst stadium for lighting. Probably just waiting for the summer nights to land...:(
  9. Great news, i will take a few trips this year from Leicester with the family and friends. Fingers crossed for Cov and others in the not to distant future.
  10. Absolute disgusting what is wrong with some people in society now days need there head shaking... Scumbags don't give a s&£t about others.
  11. Agree happy with Gilkes who are we all thinking the last x3 will be. Another announcement tomorrow….
  12. Spot on totally agree, so what is stopping this being formed cost to develop, no long term vision, existing promotors not willing release power. Surely those promotors understand this is the way forward. It will clearly not appease all but over early years once the structure is clear and most importantly stable as you say with other sports why can it not work. Most importantly also allows new potential clubs to understand the sports structure that is set for x years to put a credible business model together to understand break even point etc if to join...?.
  13. Ok may be 2027 a year or two to soon…But it is simply unsustainable with costs and revenue incoming to carryon you say riders, you are correct I say revenue… Get away from this Monday Thursday piece. What about one league then across all three at present. I know yeh… but standard of riders will be unbalanced then say a Leicester ride a Saturday night entice level 2 riders from Europe not riding in Poland.. get back to every week racing we all want the same thing to watch speedway in years ahead but needs an absolute c change or as many say it hits a wall and all we have is individual meetings as and when…
  14. This situation has not happened over night though. There should be a rolling plan year on year with minor tweaks so promotors and fans then know what to expect, ok there has been a curve ball with club closures this past year but season on season its a farce. Why not state by 2027 it will be one league and plans in place now for those who wish to participate. You don't see other sports changing rules yearly. My guess will be sticky plaster plans for 2026 same old and all moaning same old issues. It needs a complete re write that will clearly upset many but it needs to happen that will either push the sport on or kill it to death.
