If it's a new Dane or Swede then he's not an asset until he's done 4 home and 4 away official league fixtures.
-
Won't that apply to the Danes as well???
-
Before his injury Danny was averaging 7.00 at home (5.5 without bonus points) 4.75 overall, more than double his stating average of 2.00. If our top 6 come to 40ish I'd have no problem with Danny at 7.

How could a Redcar asset (as he was at the time) be instructed by another team to ride for them. A team who didn't ( then) own him?? Newcastle wanted to sign him on loan originally but were forced to buy him in order to use him. Sorry but your first sentence doesn't make any logical sense, especially since Redcar wanted to use him that year.

Josh Embleton and the retired Kenni Larsen.

Not all the Polish teams ride on sundays, at least not in the lower leagues. Steve and Robert managed it last year.

I take it to mesn NO over priced Diva's this year.
-
He would almost certainly miss every friday and certainly every saturday of a Grand Prix weekend. Even with the reduced schedule next year I doubt he could arrange a workable schedule bearing in mind the number of Friday/ saturday teams even if he signed for a thursday track.

Bach and Rose have Polish contracts

Good job you didn't have meetings every week then. In my job holidays were rostered. If I had a meeting that week. Tough! My bosses knew I wouldn't be there and knew I wouldn't have my work phone switched on either. I'd sort everything when I came back.

There is every chance that George booked his holiday before the date of the AGM was decided. It was at least two weeks later this year than it usually is. Last year it was at the beginning of November. George would have let is feelings known at the pre AGM. If he needed more time to declare then no doubt The Conference statement would have reflected that. It didn't so I, for one, am reasonably confident we will run. ( Workington were slightly different as they obviously declared to run (they weren't represented either) expecting to be able to change their race night. that was refused and obviously threw there business plan out of the window). There are several other websites which have little or no information other than "copying and pasting" the official press release.
-
Give them a break. George is on holiday, and since he is the sole promoter (I suspect) now he probably needs a bit of time to be brought up to speed with the conference decisions (he wasn't there). No doubt there will be news when there is news to tell.
-
Yea but I think Workington declared to be running in the expectation that they could move to Fridays. With not having anyone at the Conference and that request being declined it's essentially thrown their business plan for next season out of the window. i'd like to know the logic behind the refusal as they should have had a stronger case than Glasgow (who seem to move nights every year). Fridays used to be Workington's night in the past and Glasgow are moving to a night that is already occupied by a neighbouring promotion well within the supposed 40 mile "protected" limit.

Track availability!! For example at Newcastle it's Sunday (with the very occasional loss making Monday) or nothing!
-
D/U shouldn't be a problem next year as there won't be any clashes between Premiership/Championship fixtures as they all race on different nights ( apart from possibly Swindon on the odd thursday they need to use.
-
Well there are definitely 8 teams in the Premiership and 11 in the championship according to BS official webpage ( twitter bit on righthand side) . Lakeside said they were applying for Championship membership. Can't imagine anyone else would. No doubt we'll find out tomorrow morning with the official statement..
-
Limited news from AGM on British speedway twitter feed states there are eleven teams in next years Championship ( eight in the Premiership). I assume it's last years ten teams plus Lakeside. Haven't heard of anyone else wanting to move up.
-
Looks like we are running next year!!!
-
I've heard Glasgow have their team just about sorted, and NONE of the top three are back. Do't know how much truth is in that though.
-
If we have to run monday we'll close. The crowds just don't justify Monday nights. It was interesting that Lakeside stated they were re-applying to join the Premiership nest year, then suddenly changed to the Championship when it was realised that "fixed" nights would mean they would have to move from a friday.
-
I would think that that is likely to be at the time of the conference, once they've decided on the format for next year. i.e. race nights, 1 league or not. etc. If there is a premiership and championship next year (with fixed race nights, especially for the premiership) then I can see doubling up/down still being in place a it will be easier if the two leagues are running on different nights. I would think KB will have a polish contract.

Errrr. It was a BSPA "shared " event. Last time I looked Poole were members of the BSPA.
