Sheffield V Newcastle 27th July 2017 Sgb Championship
leander replied to dantodan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
As an example (and yes I was there). Updates state "Heat 15 - Tigers gate and that was that". I entirely agree with the updates assessment. If you enjoy watching riders simply chasing each other flat out for four laps (best gate and fastest bike wins.) then yes Sheffield is the place to go. Yes Wood did pass Bowtell three times, but only because of Alfie's inexperience around there (His first time I believe) and an engine probably not best suited to Sheffield. I've seen more exciting overtakes on an empty motorway. Heat 11 was the exception, primarily due to a track grade during the interval. After that it was basically gate, stick it on the outside, end of. -
Well he had three rides after his crash as well as the rerun. On his 2nd bike tho.

Are you having a laff. The fours is 28 heats minimum (2 semis and a final) and takes around 5 hours and you want to run another 24 heats in front of that. What time do you want to start? 07:00 am. !!!. Peterborough is a one day event this year due to stadium availability.

leander replied to jenga's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Sorry, I thought you mean't they wouldn't have rode on sunday because it was a rearranged fixture from the original date his sunday. What I mean't was Robert and Steve would have been at newcastle on sunday whether it was a rearranged fixture or not. -

It'll be at three. team "setup" would have had to have been declared BEFORE Friday's match started (72 hours) so I don't think we can change it. We can for the away match at Ipswich though. If it had been yesterday they would BOTH have been at Newcastle. BSPA do not have an agreement with the polish federation so it would have been two NL guests if they had been missing. It's only because the fixture was moved to Monday that they rode in Poland (despite what people think about Lambert's calendar). Newcastle lose money by running on a monday, so the fact that some people seem to think it was moved because of Lambert's (supposed) unavailability is garbage. -

That's cos you've never been there in the last 5 years. on the other hand if you like full throttle fastest bike wins follow the leader rather than use your head throttle control then I wouldn't comeback to newcastle in the next five years either.. -

bloody hell 1 rut on 1 bend in 1 meeting and the tracks dangerous. Give up whinging. Strange how in the same meeting Cookie wa the fastest there this season only 0.4 off the track record. You lost cos Jorgensen's strong arm tactics didn't work against the unmoveable Steve Worrall and he wiped out his own rider. -
Any new dane would come in on a 7. and we don't have that much to play with.

Masters has his left foot tucked inwards and it's just touching white line therefore his left arm/handlebar must be over into gate 2. Also ludvig took up a similar position on the outside of gate 2 towards the vacant gate 3 previous to the start of the video and the "jock" of a starting marshall moved him back. 1 rule for the home team another for the away team. -
Lewis is on 6.58 so that is all we have to play with as we are over 40pt team limit

Just looked at post 266 and it's got nothing to do with Manzares or is it bywaytogo28. Anyway although Manzares qualifies for a work permit you would still need to apply for one for him. I very much doubt the paperwork would be complete in time.

Well to fit most of those in you would have to get rid of Lindgren or Rose (or higher). I honestly can't see ANY of those averaging over 7.5 at home (both Lewis and Ludvig) and 5.00 points away (All without bonus points) which they currently are (believe it or not.) over 6.00 if you include BP. Can't believe you included Richard Hall once never mind twice.Brough park has corners. He can't ride tracks that have got corners in them. He usually comes up with a sicknote when he's due to ride at Newcastle!

According to speedway updates Ben Hopwood has broken his foot tonight riding for Kent Kings. he rode on ,however, and recorded a 4 ride paid max. (9+3). Hope it's not too serious after the adrenalin rush kicks out.

It could be longer than 1st thought, unfortunately. They are supposed to be working 24/7 but there was no-one working last night unlike the previous sunday. i did hear that there was an incident involving a contractor last monday and a live electric supply that was supposed to be cut off, and all work has stopped. There is, supposedly, a lot of very old wiring and that they don't know where it's plugged into so they need to investigate whats live and whats not. How true this all is I don't know. But there didn't appear to be anyone on site last night.

Speedway World Cup 2017
leander replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Yes but only if it happens during the WTC. That's probably why Australia didn't replace Doyle. They'd be hoping he's fit enough to ride on Friday/Saturday. If they'd replaced him yesterday with, for example, Jack Holder, they would have to stick with that team throughout the week. They wouldn't be able to bring Doyle back in. At least that's the way I read it. -
Diamonds have Richie Worrall at 1 and Aaron Summers at 5 You have to turn left after the turnstiles and walk through the downstairs bar. The short route to the front is closed off as that is where the contractors have their compound and access to upstairs (They are removing asbestos from the ceiling void so need a decontamination unit right next to their access point).
