  1. A bit difficult as only the KO cup matches count in October (+ Edinburgh league fixture). Playoff and League cup final don't count to the greensheets. season average will include bonus points , greensheet average doesn't. Everybody's actual average is higher than greensheet ones.
  2. It's not a case of not believing. Didn't see Louis statement. Mind you I wouldn't be surprised if they change there mind again in January. They've done it before. Ask Somerset!!!
  3. Yes I know. When the October sheets were published his September figure was shown as being the same as his August figure.(i.e. It had reduced). I commented on it at the time as I didn't understand that. I think it was something to do with the fact that he was unattached. ( He was effectively released on 28th August). If that was the only strange anomaly in speedway we'd be a lot better off. That was after he was told that he wasn't required by Glasgow. Things could change if someone fails to agree terms for any team.
  4. According to a twitter reply from the BSPA when asked specifically about JPB and Jack Smith the reply was they come in on a 3.00 because they don't already have an established championship average of less than 3pts.
  5. 5.86 was his September figure which included rides up to and including 20 August. He rode on the 21st v Peterborough 5R 11+3, and 28th 1R 0pts when he got injured. Greensheets are based on last 20 matches so he would have dropped two matches from earlier on in which he possibly didn't score as much.
  6. You are probably right but some riders (foreigners) have a separate average in brackets to be used for team building purposes!!!
  7. Final greensheet averages are out. Interesting. NOBODY has a greensheet average under 3.00!!!!! That throws a lot of wishful team building out the window.
  8. Not really. just needs better fixture planning. Sweden doesn't usually start until end of April(ish) and finishes earlier too. Ludvig and Vic were available for early Redcar matches and Ipswich (tho Ludvig probably wishes he wasn't for Ipswich) lol. + there are usually a couple of blank Thursdays in Sweden especially if there is an odd number of teams as there was this year.
  9. It can actually work the other way. Suddenly your 6pt second string is now your 3rd heat leader and will want heat leader rates. Especially your low to mid average riders who are going to be in great demand to make teams fit. Each team should pay what it can afford. Every home promotion pays a flat rate points money to the opposing teams riders. If an away team no.1 is on flat rate + £30 per point then the away team promotion pays the £30 not the home team.
  10. How does reducing the points limit cut costs? You still have to pay for 90 points per meeting irrespective of whether you build to a 40 point limit or 50 point limit.
  11. True. But it was still a sort of doubling up .
  12. Doubling up is not new. When I first started to watch in 1975/76 I seem to remember the Owen brothers "guesting" for 1st division Hull on numerous occasions. I agree the rules regarding it need looking at tho.
  13. Well he was at Glasgow the following day helping the lads. I believe it was just the compulsory 8 day rest required following a possible concussion that stopped him riding.
  14. Not necessarily needs to be a 3pointer. It depends what they decide at the conference. Personally I'd expect to see some change here. There won't be enough 3 pointers with potential to go round since most of this seasons no. 7 have increased there averages to above this. if you have to put a 3 point man in at 7 then some of these will be out of work because not many teams would want a 3 to 4 point man in at no. 6. That's the reason Rob Branford was out of a job at the beginning of the season as Edinburgh had to effectively choose between him and Max Clegg as they couldn't accommodate both with having to have another 3 point man in as well.
  15. Publicly sacked two riders during the interval.
  16. So he's gone from missing Peterborough matches, to not missing ANY for Newcastle. Yet you say he hasn't learn't anything this Year. Err Can't quite figure that out. Plus it also proves that if a rider is treated properly by the promotion you will get a positive reaction. Somehow this year I don't think Peterborough learn't anything judging by the way they treated there riders this year. Respect is a two way thing. I'm fairly sure that they are finalized as part of the conference. Some riders may entitled to a reduction depending on what they (BSPA) decide.
  17. I'm not bad mouthing anybody. I for one would like nothing better than to see Plymouth survive as it's a cracking little track. All I said was that I'd be surprised if Lee was team manager if Bowden was running it. Lee quit the job at the end of Bowden's last season in charge. He took the job on again when the promotion changed. I just hope someone somewhere can save you devils.
  18. I'll be surprised if Lee is your team manager if Bowden is in charge.
  19. Kus is czech. He was riding in an official Czech rep. federation league meeting therefore a facility (R/R) is allowed. You can only get a 3.00 NL rider if you are riding in another countrys league other than your own. (As in NK Iversen [Danish] riding in the SWEDISH league, therefore KL could only use a 3.00 guest. If it was a Danish league match R/R or a guest would be allowed.)
  20. Barker had every right to be annoyed!!!! When heat 13 was stopped for an unsatisfactory start the 2nd time he returned to the pits gate as his throttle was sticking and he needed it to be attended to. YOUR pits marshall refused to open the pit gate as the ref had put two minutes on. Rules state a rider can't return into the pits (despite three of them doing that after the 1st stoppage) but a rider is allowed to receive mechanical assistance ON the track, and Ben was prevented from doing so by your pit marshall. Result his throttle stuck open in the rerun as he went inside Robbo and he brought him off !
  21. Always was R/R for Matej as he is required to ride in Czech Republic today not as reported "yesterday". (Speedway star got their dates wrong). Yes Matej blew an engine big time last night but NO way would we be allowed R/R just because he didn't have a bike. Ludvig was withdrawn with knee and wrist injuries last night after being collected by Cameron Heeps' bike. No reason for Robert not to be riding tonight.
  22. Not allowed a guest as far as I'm aware as he is nor doubling up for a british club nor is it an FIM meeting, just Czech federation meeting. Thanks. Wasn't sure whether the R/R for Kus would be moved to no.2.
  23. Not entirely true. When we signed Steve, Belle Vue hadn't finally decided to switch to a Friday. With Lewis and Robert Kings Lynn were still a Wednesday track (as proven by the fact that Lewis Kerr was in both Ipswich and Kings Lynn squad. he only switched to Lakeside because KL moved to a Thursday). We only signed Vic when Tero ruled himself out with injury as he was the best option at the time, even with the Swedish clashes. Can anybody confirm the riding order for this? The no1's 6's and 7's are easy. It just the others.
  24. He's not! He's missing for the Rye house Home leg on Saturday according to Speedway star. Required to ride in Czech rep.
  25. Correct!. And Branford moves into the top 5 with Lanham dropping to number 6.
