  1. Newcastle's guests are signed and sealed. Not a lot left for berwick with WTC and Peterboro, Ipswich, Scunthorpe, and Redcar already riding.as well.
  2. More likely he had to wait 24- 36 hours for the swelling to go down so they could make a more accurate assessment of how bad the break is. In that case it would have been foolish to ride on monday. I broke a bone in my foot once and the hospital told me straight away it was broke but to keep the weight off it, come back in 48 hrs then we can assess exactly how bad it is (when swelling went down) and to decide whether to put it in plaster or just strap it up.
  3. Yes, but since they are removing Asbestos from the ceiling I believe that is where the "airlock" entrance is and the workers decontamination area is so I suspect it will remain blocked off for the duration. They are, however, working 24 hours a day. well one of them anyway. He used his GM's at Newcastle so maybe he thinks his GTR's are better suited to the bigger tracks and his GM's at home. Anyway it worked.
  4. Agreed. if Steve was injured it would be R/R but because he's riding in a FIM sanctioned meeting we are allowed a guest for him as well. Berwick will need a guest for Morris.
  5. It was on the club website sunday morning, and it was also in the Sunday Sun that Steve wouldn't be riding that evening. So to say the club didn't make it known until people turned up sunday night is unfair.
  6. Certainly don't think it's anything to do with european meetings. He's only riding in one division in Sweden unlike last year when he did two. Personally I think the problem is his GTR engines. They are just slow (over here and abroad). He looked a different rider in heat 15 at Redcar aboard Ash's bike after they'd obviously made some changes to it after heat 14. Lindgren senior's GTR's aren't exactly jet propelled either at the moment.
  7. Ta Steve I agree. The only time you can move it is if you have R/R for Joe Bloggs then Fred Smith gets injured, you can move R/R to Fred Smith and get a guest for Joe Bloggs, but you are not allowed to change the riding order.
  8. They can't move it. Steve pulled out after the 72 hr team declaration was made so it will be R/R at 5. They could move it next week if he's not fit as long as they declare it to Workington 72 hrs before hand. Anyone know how Glasgow are li lining up? In particular 3 & 5 with Worrall and Summers since Lawson moves to 1.
  9. 'Course it is. Management signed them. You will have several blank weeks. Just make sure you have them when your double uppers are riding.
  10. 6+2 from 4 against Ipswich including a retirement in heat 8 when he looped at the start, so effectively 6+2 from 3. His last match before his unfortunate injury. In the fours he beat Dimitri Berge and J B Andersen. In the U21's Shanes scored 12 and Phillips 11, so not much difference there either. But it's all conjecture really.
  11. I think we would have won at Peterborough anyway as Danny could have comfortably matched Shanes scores. Why? He was riding better than ever at the time of his injury ( upped his average from 1.8 to nearly 4.00). He's rode Peterborough loads, including last year's fours when he scored points against other team's heat leaders and second strings. He scored well in the under 21's against (supposedly) better reserves. His injury is hitting us harder than people give him credit for, since we could only replace him with a 2 pointer instead of someone nearer 4.00. True there are some places where he might only have scored 1 or 2. But there are others where, I believe, he would have scored 5 or 6 and that would have made a hell of a difference. We certainly would be more comfortable at home.
  12. Not according to Redcar website. Garrity rides. R/R Wright, Ostergaard for Perks, Carr MIGHT replace Ayres depending on a late fitness test.
  13. As long as his average fits it doesn't matter where in the team it is unless it's at No7.
  14. Give it up!!! He's not the only one who has had bad meetings. If I remember rightly, the last time we were at Redcar he was the only one that did turn up and put any effort in. The fact is the entire middle order are not performing as they should often enough. Last year Matej Kus' home average was less than Ludvigs. His away average was less than Ludvigs. It's not like he's an up and coming 18/19 year old and likely to improve. He went backwards last season. Some of his away performances at tracks he was expected to do well at were woeful.
  15. There is no priority agreement between the BSPA and Poland. Therefore if he rides in Poland I don't believe Newcastle will get a facility (i.e. NL guest only) as with Brady Kurtz and Plymouth last year. Like i said before my moneys on him being at Newcastle.
  16. True. But the rain off today didn't help.
  17. Yes we are at Redcar this Thursday. It was announced during the Berwick v Newcastle match last night. A late request from Redcar to fill a blank date I would suggest. Probably accepted as we were originally due to go during World Cup week and would almost certainly been without Robert and Steve on the original date.
  18. I suspect he hasn't updated his calendar since we originally had no meeting on the 16th July. I'd put money on him being at Newcastle.
  19. have you seen the photos!!!! If not go to diamonds facebook page. There is an enormous volume of water to pump of the track and you will need somewhere to put it. You'd then have to get rid of the current track surface as it's like mud and relay a fresh track surface. Bearing in mind the limited amount of time Newcastle have access to the track they'll do well to get it ready for next week. Pray for a dry, hot, windy week.
  20. Don't need an excuse. we would have welcomed your visit, especially since Wells and Clegg would be missing.
  21. At the time we were under the then 42.5 points limit after the changes as far as I remember. As long as you re-declare under the points limit it's fine.
  22. Steve Worrall has to ride for Berwick in place of Bridger on Saturday.
  23. Nope. Doesn't work. Aarnio (5.28) + Carr (3.00) = 8.28. Coles (2.00) + Morris (5.57) = 7.57. In any case you can only replace like for like if you are over the limit (which we are) i.e. Aarnio for Morris fits but Carr for Coles doesn't. If you are dropping two and adding their averages together then you have to be under the points limit. That's the way I understand the rules anyway. As for Jake Knight he would only need to have averaged 2.01 over four home and away to be too high.
