Think the ref got this one spot on...clearly Scunny were having problems riding out of bend 2 and on this occasion Lewi made a hash of it and went sideways (Danny) had nowhere to go and although he tried to avoid gave him a bit of a knock, but clearly it was Kerr's fault entirely and the rider behind had to shut off and was impeded, kind of unfair riding I guess to be judged The tracks the same for everyone...you just need to learn to ride it

Never really a match this one...always difficult when teams come with RR and then get a further injury, inevitably the reserves get too many rides and the whole thing becomes a procession. Thought Naughty Auty went a bit too far with one of his rides and could have easily injured either himself or someone else... as if we need more injuries ! Scunthorpe never really in it though TBF.

Ipswich Witches Vs Glasgow Tigers Thurs 4th May C1
AntiqueSteve replied to Pob's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Sure we could all go down the "what ifs" route... what about Danny's clutch in Heat 1 and subsequent engine problems all night, he's been pretty unbeatable round Foxhall until last night, etc. etc (were you there ?) You mention money..I know its not football (been watching speedway for over 40 years mate) but where machinery is concerned money can make alot of difference, none of us can say for sure what goes on but the best possible equipment is ALL about money. -

Pretty happy with that...I forecast a win by ten and going into Heat 15 it looked pretty accurate, just a shame about the last race to deprive them of a point Considering the amount of money they have got backing them I suppose we should be pleased and everyone said we would struggle but they were pretty much a three man team and what about that man Shanes...wow ! -

As everyone has said Danny and Rory have been on good form so Tom and Jack Vs Connor and James will be important, looking forward to seeing young Dan Bewley ride in the Championship, cos he seems to clear up everywhere at national level ! I fancy the Witches to win by around 10 -
You were spot on there .....just as you said left the tapes too long and there were lots of 15m.......and then the crowd went mental when a blatant roller by Garrity (having done it all night) was missed by Gay ! .....he said he didn't see it, but he must have been the only one because everyone else did, I think a visit to specsavers is in order Mr Ref. Then there was argy-bargy between Schleiny and Barker, Ben clearly raising his elbows over Rory but the start line marshall didn't seem to be pulling them apart enough ? (I imagine there was more to it than that because Rory was clearly not happy and he's normally pretty fair minded)

Ippo were pretty in it for a point until Nico's crash and then got hammered on the last few heats, lets hope Nico's ok..... nasty -
Ipswich V Peterborough April 15th 7.30pm
AntiqueSteve replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Which is of course why Peterborough graded the track for heat 15 to favour the outside knowing that Ippo had 1 and 3 ....of course just to favour "good racing" -

Rory - Well impressed with Schleiny, he looked like he was coasting and had another gear, lets hope the injury's ok...he pulled up in H15 Danyon - Awesome effort, looks like he's come on over the Winter Connor - Early doors, should improve with time...can see the potential Good luck boys !

Yep, I'm thinking of what "toys" I can use, cos I don't think my whistle's having that much impact ? (and I don't want any rude remarks) -

AntiqueSteve replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Really good start to the Season, thought the team looked great, although double points made it look alot closer than it was. Was it just me or did Aunty Babs miss two blatant roller's from Lasse ?? we were sitting by the start gate and it looked like he was half way up the track before the others had let their clutches out ! Great work by the "Massif" ...lovin the siren thingy and the cow bells, nice work peeps -

I see young Jordan Jenkins was getting a bit of pre season practice on the Island

Does anybody know if we are close to announcing the final rider ?

Don't forget that Ipswich had an awful lot to do with the new era at Mildenhall and whilst Kevin has gone on to develop Mildenhall on his own there are still very close links between the two clubs (Cameron Heeps and Connor Mountain for example in recent times) but Chris did a hell of alot when it first changed over
