  1. Heat 9 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kTcRRaXV-fg&client=mv-vf-uk&safesearch=always#
  2. Will a hologram of Len walking to the start at 6.55pm every Saturday with the echoes of 'Those magnificent men' ringing around the stadium be the norm?
  3. I started going circa 1973/4 when Brian Foote was #1.
  4. What as? - Programme seller? - Fish and Chip taster? I give it 6 meetings
  5. I remember that day well Shads. You updating me whilst I was on the train back from just seeing England retain the Ashes after 18 years....Shaun Tacey....what a guest that day!
  6. Garrity can make a dry safe track look dangerous. The mans a fruitcake
  7. So where is the relevance to the Workington v Rye House meeting in this thread. Should it not be renamed 'Matthew Wethers signs for Workington'........?
  8. First visit this season and although half decent PL meeting (racing wise) wasn't planning to stay for the NL meeting anyway so looks like I didn't miss much. Track was watered after the heat 2 delay through Benji Compton's injury Track was watered *cough* after heat 5 although the watering mechanism was only letting out about a cup full on each bend - farcical Track was *cough* graded after heat 5 by graded I mean dragging around an old iron fence panel behind the tractor for 4 laps - don't quite see what this achieved. Track was watered *cough* after heat 10 although the watering mechanism was only letting out about a cup full on each bend - farcical Track was *cough* graded after heat 10 by graded I mean dragging around an old iron fence panel behind the tractor for 4 laps - don't quite see what this achieved. By heat 13 the dust was so thick it was like watching speedway in a sauna By heat 13 the blue groove was at least 12 inches wide going into turn 1 All in all not a great advertisement for track prep I'm afraid.
  9. Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere but just seen via Andrew Silvers Facebook page that Booey had passed away.

  11. We haven't done all that bad at Foxhall really apart from two relatively heavy defeats last year when we al knew the team wasn't the strongest there is and one in 2013. The past form reads: 2011 - 49-47 2012 - 47-46 2012 - 44-46 2013 - 55-35 2013 - 46-44 2014 - 55-40 2014 - 50-40
  12. If it is stocks then I give the speedway two years at most
  13. I see we've built well below the limit again.....
  14. What Postman Pat? Dont think hes got the minerals do you Shads?
  15. Seems a little sad that the writing is on the wall at Rye. Havent been since the first meeting of the season and what with seeing the team getting ripped to pieces at home I have no wish too. I have been to Rye since I was a kid of 9 in 1974 up to its previous demise under Ronnie Russell. Maybe we were spolit during the early 2000's with the re-introduction of speedway at the 'house and then the jump up into the PL in 2003 with riders such as Nigel Sadler, Scott Robson, Brent Werner, then a year later Davy Watt, culminating in a Championship the following year with the likes of Danny King at reserve! We then poached a certain Tai Woffinden from Sheffield and it was a pleasure going every Saturday to watch that young kid race with the team winning the 2007 PL via the playoffs. Year on year since 2003 Rye improved their squad and the results showed. But the last three maybe four years performances have gone downhill dramatically and each year I have attended less and less. There used to be a buzz around Rye on a Saturday, Sky Sports used to visit to televise speedway now it seems to be dying on its feet. Wether its down to lack of young talent coming through the Rye ranks or the abolition of the Raiders or the fact Len has other interests in speedway now (Kent) it will be sad to see it disappear

  17. Shame that the cast offs from last year have taken the opportunity to rub the managements nose in it.
  18. True but the speedways rubbish so cant have it always,
  19. I couldnt beleive when I arrived there was not one person queueing for Shish and Fips. That was at 1.30pm. Lens obviously trying to kepp all aspects of Rye House going downhill. You used to have to wait half an hour at times for the fish bar. Not suprised though looking at the very small tray of Maccy D style crap served up for 1.70! Len.....get yer act together. If we have to put up with a sh*t team at least get the food right....;oh and start serving draught beer again too! warm cans...eeew
  20. So by that map and taking into account the North compass point, Worcester is in the North and Warwick is in the South although Warwick is North of Worcester......
  21. Team average 41.74. Less 2 points off Kennett average 8.65 equals effectively a team average of 39.74 Par for the course.....
  22. Well we got the 'big hitting' number 1 many people were screaming for.....unfortunately it hasnt left much for the rest of the team. With Tyson the second highest averaged rider in the team and Luke coming back from a season long lay off it isnt looking that great but time will tell.
