Did you see him ride for Birmingham last season?
-
You're hard to please. Oxford the top pairing in the league for heats 13 & 15, 3 solid second strips - two of which are young improving riders and 2 promising 2 point riders. Obviously they could have signed a higher averaged rider somewhere but the promotion have done little wrong so far. I think they'll be near the top of the league. I'd prefer to build a team like that than go with 3 heat leaders and 4 reserves.
-
Rumour has him at Glasgow
-
Gilkes has a squad place in Polish Div.2 so would rule out Saturdays at Plymouth. Rowe doesn't just u24 league place
-
Oxford's team is 1 point below the limit and doesn't look weak
-
So is Connor Bailey and he also works for Allied but he's not at Glasgow. Tom Brennan is also a Glasgow asset
-
Jye Etheridge
-
There was a winter social event organised by the GTSG on the 1st December maybe the club were just trying to generate interest in that. Regarding building a solid team rumour has it you'll be disappointed.
-
Friday nights at Edinburgh didn't suit Josh Pickering's Polish commitments so unless he's given up on a Polish team place becoming available Saturday afternoon in Workington wouldn't be an option. James Pearson?
-
Not a lot of riders would fit in, yes they could have gambled on a 5 point foreign new rider but the only other options would have been Anders Rowe or Kyle Newman
-
2018 he blocked them from using Friday nights because it was restricting his choice of guests. They now race at Northside Arena, Derwent Park is the rugby stadium.
-
Because Rob Godfrey doesn't want them racing on a Friday.
-
Does Leon not still qualify for under 21 events next year? If not sure he'd be in contention for under 24 events.
-
So 4 reserves around 4 points, so 2 in the main body of the team. Then a rider who averages 5 points away from Berwick as our Third heatleader. Hope the rumours are wrong. Cannot see that team making the playoffs.
-
You might be right for the long term but for 2024 I'd take Claus or Leon, based all the times I've seen them ride.
-
It's a rumour until Glasgow officially announce Flint's signing. Don't know why they're signing him on 6.40 when they could have Vissing on 6.24 - cost cutting? Leon doesn't like the track, couldn't even win a race in the under 21 final at Ashfield this year.
-
Claus averaged 6.19 away from home in league matches this year, 7.23 including bonus points (riding with Basso). Don't understand why he's not in Glasgow's plans on a 6.24 average when over the league season he averaged 7.07, 8.00 included bonus points
-
No, it's 132km from Armadale to Shielfield by road. It's not Ashfield either as it's 45km.
-
Connor is in his final year of an apprenticeship with Allied, think he said it's completed in March.
-
Was told he had a practice at Ashfield, admittedly on borrowed equipment but didn't impress. Fell off a few times. As said he'd be on a 5 point assessed average unless they change the rules. He will be too old for Polish u24 league next year so is looking for a team in UK.
-
Definitely not tongue in cheek Doesn't matter what Steve Worrall scored in last 4 meetings playoffs/KO cup don't count for averages anyway. 7 is still a heat leader, especially if building teams to 38 points. No idea if Steve's been signed.
-
When your losing 5½ points from this season's team average total then 2024 by comparison is going to look inferior. But Steve Worrall was definitely a heatleader, didn't you see him at 5 for Poole in playoff finals?
-
That was where the final was originally scheduled to be. A three team final between Leicester, Poole and Glasgow in September 2022. Not far for Leicester and certainly more convenient for Poole and Glasgow fans to get to than travelling to than each others track. Took me 10 hours to drive to Poole for playoff final, could drive to Sheffield and back in less time.
-
No fault of either club I'd say the exact opposite. They decided they didn't want a one off final at Sheffield last year. Then dilly-dallied around arranging fixtures, so didn't get it done last year. You would have thought it would have been easy enough to arrange a home and away challenge as a warm up for the new season but no we've got a one off meeting at Poole at the very end of this season. Wouldn't be surprised if it was rained off.

Claus is only 37. Bomber will be 41 next month and no one is saying they don't want him back.
