Absolutely spot on in your assessment, the team that finishes top should be crowned champions and do away with all of this play off nonsense. -

We really need the middle order guys to be on it from the start.if we can make some decent starts I can see maybe an eight point deficit with all to ride for at owlerton.come on the Tigers..!! -

So where does all of this put Sheffield now? as I,m lead to believe that the bates's can,t promote both teams in the same league? -

Never in all my years watching what used to be a great sport have I ever heard such nonsense in all my life.meeting abandoned due to lack of tyres just about sums up the state of the sport in this country.if I had been attending that debacle today then that would have been the last time ever I would have attended any meeting. The whole season has been a complete shambles what with guests, meetings delayed and various other anomalies,is there any wonder at all that people are drifting away from the sport, myself included. The sport here doesn't give a damn about it,s supporters and now the tables are being turned.sad, sad times indeed. -
Wolves v Sheffield - Monday, 22 August
Moranboys replied to Roger Jacobs's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Not wasting my money on this.jack never seems to go around monmore, can only see a few points coming from Kyle and tobias.wolves to probably hit at least 60. -
Always have been a fan of Craig cook ever since his Buxton days and has been a terrific rider but something clearly is not right with him this season and I think bringing in Lewis kerr can only be beneficial, takes the pressure also off of the other riders taking r/r rides.Big boost for him winning the pairs with c.wright and hopefully will hit the ground running when he makes his debut.Hoping everything works out well for him and he keeps injury free, come on tigers fans, get behind him.

Remember first seeing him ride in the conference for cradly at Buxton some years ago and he went through the card I think.looked very impressive and was certainly one that I thought would progress, looked very stylish but he,s been so so unlucky with injuries and it's not nice to see him struggling for points. -
Might not need to now....

Sorry Ian,but having read all of the comments I have to agree with the other posters on this one. -
I personally believe also that there are now numerous factors that are not helping crowd levels. 1.cost of living.people having to pull in the reigns of how they now spend their disposable income .a night out at the speedway for two now amounting to 50 pounds plus when you factor in the cost of admission, fuel, programme, food, drink, etc 2.streaming.ad far as I,m concerned,a big shot in the foot, going on cost alone and taking away actually being there.11.99 for the stream as opposed to the cost of attending. 3.team strengths.as you rightly say, doubling up,numerous guest appearances, all contribute to the mockery of the sport. 4.entertainment And Yes,I agree that you should support your club through thick and thin but if the entertainment on show is inferior, then people are going to want more bang for their buck....human nature. There are probably more factors as well, obvious ones like length taken to complete meetings, inadequate medical cover, interest levels kept up in the event of delays between heats.kids not being able to have riders as their favourite s because they've cleared off after one season or can,t be accommodated because of the averages ruling.small things I know but large ones when you think of the whole package.

So when they get out on track trying their utmost in what is a dangerous sport, they don,t care about the paying public?I wonder what the riders would think if you put that statement to them, and,by the way,if you think along those lines then why do you bother watching the sport at all, knowing they arnt one bit interested in the paying public...it,s not hard,as you keep saying.

That "shower of rubbish" as you phrase it, happens to be a lot of supporters speedway team, and yes, they are struggling at the moment, but in light of the risk they take by coming out to ride week in week out for our entertainment, can't you just, for once, cut some slack for this famous club.the riders confidence will be low at the moment and the likes of your comments don,t help.do you really want to lose another club like we can really afford to at the moment?
