  1. Can't believe for the second GP in a row wasn't being transmitted in Widescreen either! Like being the Dark ages watching something not in widescreen.
  2. Thank God for the ruts! Would have fell asleep if not for them!
  3. I noticed on Sky planner, Slovenian GP is only on for 1 hour this week on Sky Sports Extra then its Live Spanish Football, presume it must switch to red button again
  4. Can't really help with the tickets but wouldn't surprise me if they have just released the more expensive ones first, I'm sure they did the same 2 years ago with the German GP and released cheaper tickets later. Regards Czech GP, they only announce the big indoor GP's early, others like Czech will be announced when full calendar is announced end of October usually.
  5. Got back from Vojens last night had a close look at the track covers. Spoke to someone apparently they cost £20,000. They have been made to exactly to size of the contours of the track, each panel is numbered. They are made out of thick heavy duty plastic, there was thick piece of velcro holding each piece together but down the egdes there was steel rope sewn into the cover to weigh the edge down so wind doesn't lift edges up. They did great job, they carefully pulled each section from the outside onto the centre green so all the water ran onto the grass then pulled it back over the track and lifted it over the fence. Track was bone dry underneath. Personally thought they should have given it a quick water before the racing started as it was dusty. If they hadn't had the covers no chance the meeting would have been on the amount of rain there was during the day.
  6. Use to be like that in the early GP's in mid nineties.
  7. From Poole across to Southampton, up A34 onto M40 then come off at either banbury and up A423 or Warwick and up A46, should take about 2 and half hours.
  8. Am surprised by the reserves, especially after Hougaard & Klindts performance in world cup. Am going to this, due the terrible exchange rate couldn't believe the price of tickets, £40 for standing!
  9. Shame they had just bit too much rain too close to start time, I remember in 2005 first GP there they had a shower before start time and track was brilliant, great racing. Tonight track didn't settle in till heat 16, if racing had started then would have been a great night. Crump's got the Championship sealed, battle of Gollob & Hancock for 2nd & third. Sayfutdinov dropping like I thought he would.
  10. What I don't understand is why at 8pm they don't switch to sky sports 1 because the live football has finished by then, at least people could then record both parts, can't record stuff on the red button.
  11. Both teams were daft today, Poland had couple of good chances to use joker earlier on when they went 6 points down twice, Crump should have known or been told no point beating kasprzak by 1 point as they could use joker.
  12. Charlie Webster says its stopped raining now but been raining all night and track is very muddy
  13. Things planned in the morning. I don't think its better for the travelling fans, can't see many making the trip there at that time then rushing back for their home league meetings, think it will be half full at the most tomorrow.
  14. Obviously couldn't be run tonight track was flooded, but 10am start tomorrow is a joke. Just because the Poles want to have their league meetings still in the evening. If they wanted to host the world cup final they should have known there was a chance of it being rained off and restaged the following day. I'd laugh if it rains in the morning and they have to delay it to later.
  15. We flew to Gdansk and got train to Bydgoszcz few years ago, like Henry said takes about 2 hours, just be careful though there was different trains, one which stopped at every stop and one that only stopped couple of times, we got that one.
  16. Already thread about this : http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/ind...showtopic=49464 Mutual decision, guess due to his poor form want to give youngster a try instead.
  17. Danish team for race off is : Hans Andersen Kenneth Bjerre Niels K Iversen Nicolai Klindt Patrick Hougaard http://translate.google.co.uk/translate?pr...history_state0=
  18. Great performance from the Russians, some great gating plus also passing from behind when needed. Regarding the crash, Laguta was right to be excluded but it was racing accident. Pedersen would have closed the door exactly the same way if he had been in front. Just unfortunate he got his front wheel stuck on Lagutas footrest.
  19. We had our own Stavrous Flattley on lower tier third bend, just as meeting started they started playing that greek music and he was a spitting image and whipped his top off doing crazy dancing, very funny.
  20. Not had a problem with the sound in previous years last night was in lower tier third/fourth bend and music was fine but couldn't hear a word the announcer was saying, was having to rely on the video screens for lineups etc.
  21. Also noticed when the under 15s were racing there wasn't a single first aider/paramedic on the track! So when that young lad came off they all had to come running out of the pits.
  22. Think the championship is Crump's to lose now. Great choice of gate in the final, think he knew gate 4 wasn't the best but if he let Gollob have it Gollob would have been a threat. So much for the great track, maybe smooth but how many passes did we have very few.
  23. Went to Abensburg for Grand Prix Challenge years ago. Track hardly gets used, when we turned up for practise it had grass growing through it! Big track but completley flat and only one line round the inside.
  24. Some confirmation on his Swedish clubs website : http://translate.google.com/translate?js=n...history_state0=
