  1. How can they guarantee its not going to rain though? Temporary tracks can't cope with the rain.
  2. Surely if they were equal it should go on when they met each other then in the qualifying?
  3. I thought they were only putting temporary tracks in stadiums with roofs now? I was one of the unlucky ones there when it was called off after a few heats.
  4. I gather Jason had two wins, two exclusions and an engine failure. He is only 13 and this was his first ever meeting. He is very fast though, he has set times not far off Elite League pace on his own at Belle Vue but just doesn't have much racing experience at the monent. Next year he will be allowed to do Academy League though.
  5. Tickets came today. Don't know if this will be any use to anyone but we have one spare ticket due to one of our party not going now, back straight front row block D2, cost £30 can have it for £20. Might be able to use it to get in and sit elsewhere or in the standing section whatever.
  6. Got an email my tickets were dispatched yesterday.
  7. Also admitting afterwards if it hadn't been Gollob in Poland he would have layed it down anywhere else.
  8. I think DK4 (Danish) have a live internet feed but its not free anymore you have to pay a year subsciption.
  9. You can watch highlights from the GP on SKY Anytime on thier website.
  10. Can anyone tell me who holds the track record at that track?
  11. Apparently Hampel is definatly not riding so at least PK or Laukkanen will be in for him, if PK is injured then Laukkanen will be next, if then Jonsson pulls out who is next reserve, Sullivan?
  12. Nicki has been a class above everyone this year, made a mistake in that semi and was beaten fairly. Then made himself look a right prick complaining to the referee. Bloody producers missed what was happening afterwards through, could see the crowd going mad in the background.
  13. It's a dual cam engine, been using it all year. GM bottom half and hyprid top half.
  14. Not a bad GP tonight, some decent racing even though the track was slick. Nicki Pedersen made himself look a right idiot, complaining about a little bit of hard racing from Andersen when Nicki normally gives it out worst! Before the semi finals Pedersen was 1/4, Gollob was 5/1, Andersen 7/1 and Crump 10/1. Decided to put a fiver on Gollob, Andersen and Crump, Pedersen didn't get through and I had 3 out of 4 chances to win on decent odds and the only one I didn't have money on won, Adams!
  15. What do people think about the chances of a GP being in Russia with all the big money being thrown about over there?
  16. I thought Seetickets are only selling to the Brits, they are not selling to the Germans etc thought they had their own over there? Seetickets were probably only given a block in each price band and more Brits are going then expected.
  17. We are hiring a car from Dusseldorf airport, Ford Focus £40 for two days so £10 each, cheaper then getting taxi's and trains. Staying in Essen.
  18. They are coming from the same people that did the Cardiff tickets. You won't get them until about 2 weeks beforehand.
  19. I'll say it again, did any other rider crash or even come close to crashing? No. Like I said, the track had a part to play in it but was not the only reason.
  20. No the track didn't cause Jonsson to break his shoulder. It had a small part in it but did you see any other riders crash last night? The reason Josson crashed was partly because of the track but mainly due to his bike setup and his shoulder not being strong enough to control the bike. Thats 3 big crashes he's had similar to that this year.
  21. Poor GP, track looked to have plenty of dirt on it so thought the racing would get better once the dirt moved out but unfortunatly it didn't. Pedersen in a class of his own, championship is his now unless he gets a serious injury. Did any one notice Crump lent Nicholls a new back wheel for this final?
  22. I've been to Prague 4 times for the GP and twice it has rained, including the infamous GP about 3 years ago when the start was delayed for an hour and a half, was stood in the rain for about 5 hours, was soaked to the skin, hotel receptionist gave us a strange look when we walked in afterwards.
  23. This was written by Peter Ballinger a few years ago, follow this and you won't go wrong. Arrival in Prague Airport Upon clearing passport control, you will pass through some automatic frosted glass doors, leading you into the Entrance to the Airport. To your left will be an automatic money exchange machine, to your right some stairs leading upwards. Infront, and to the right are car rental desks, public information desks, etc. It is from the public information desks that you can purchase 3 day (or even 5 day) public transport passes. These give you access to buses, trams, and underground, and in 2002 they cost about 200 Kc for 3 days. Exit the building via the front exit, and go straight ahead over 2 or 3 zebra crossings, following the signs for the 119 Bus. After 100 yards or so, the roads conclude with a standard road, from where you can pick up the 119 Bus. The 119 Bus runs from the airport to the underground stop at “Dejvicka”, and only to “Dejvicka”, i.e. it is the Airport Shuttle. Once aboard the bus, stamp your 3 day passes in the on board ticket machines. This validates your tickets, and the 3 day period starts from the moment you stamp your tickets. Dejvicka is where you can pick up the Underground (Green Line – Line A), and is about 3-4 miles journey on the bus from the airport. It takes about 15-20 minutes. Just get off when everyone gets off. The bus goes no further than Dejvicka, apart from back to the Airport. Being foreign, the bus will be on the correct side of the road for the Underground station. Go into Dejvicka Station, watch out for the fast escalators as they are easy to fall down after a tiring journey especially when you are loaded up with cases. (There speaks the voice of experience ) Once in Dejvicka station, continue down to the platforms, the train will only be going in one direction from Dejvicka, and indeed arriving from one direction, as Dejvicka is the first stop on the line. You will not need to stamp your tickets again at any time whilst in Prague, just look after them, and if a ordinary looking bloke (ie. No uniform) approaches you and shows you a “Sherrifs” Badge, he will be a ticket inspector, just show him your ticket and you’ll be OK. Travel on the Underground from Dejvicka all the way through to the most appropriate station to your hotel / accomodation. NB : I’d suggest either Mustek or Muzuem as both are reasonably close to Wencelas Square. Getting to Stadion Marketa My suggestion is that you take the Underground to Malostranska station (Green line). Exit Malostranska station to street level, where you can pick up the No.22 tram towards Bila Hora which will take you up to the area of Prague called “Brevnov”. This is where the Speedway is. The tram lines run in the middle of the road, accordingly the tram stops are in the middle also You will need the No.22 that is going uphill, rather than the one going downhill back into town. Once on the No.22, watch for the stops on the onboard displays, and the maps that are in the carriages. There are around 20 stops beofre you'll need to get off, but its a nice route up past the Castle. You need to get off at the stop "Vypich", rather than "Brevnov". You will see the stadium up on the hill from Brevnov, but Vypich is closer to the Stadion Marketa.
  24. People raved about the racing at Cardiff, the racing was a lot better tonight but people not going on about it so much because GB were so rubbish and not in contention There was some really hard racing, riders passing each other and taking each other out all the time, surprised there was only one crash.
