The majority of teams that been having financial issues are Championship teams.
The Championship standard is too high, mainly because doubling down has got out of control and the difference between NDL and Championship is too big with NDL riders struggling to get Championship teams.
The standard of Championship needs lowering, doubling down needs reducing, teams like Poole, Glasgow etc should be in Premiership.
The current track has been decent too, in the Lindgren era etc was good racing, just seems to be in last 5 years it’s gone down hill.
The ‘Karlsson corridor’ has always been there but it was used for passing, there was other lines too. Now it’s the only line and first riders to the strip wins.
Could see it during the interval all the track was being done ripping up that inside off the bend.
As soon as walked in and saw track knew it would be poor tonight.
Any decent track guy knows you make inside slicker as it’s the shortest way round and make outside grippier.
Not Wolves though the inside was so ripped up and heavily watered meaning 4 riders chasing a 1m strip of track and no one even close to making a pass in 7 heats.
Change in riding order for Belle Vue as Matej Zagar has new average.
WOLVERHAMPTON: Sam Masters, Steve Worrall, Luke Becker, Ryan Douglas, Nick Morris, Drew Kemp, Leon Flint.
BELLE VUE: Matej Zagar, Jye Etheridge, Brady Kurtz, Charles Wright, Max Fricke, Norick Blodorn, Tom Brennan
At least Peterborough got a heat advantage which was good, getting a 5-4 coming 2nd and 3rd would be bit of a farce. Not sure why they don't just have 1v1 run off.
Didn't come across great on the radio then, was some great races, heat 13 was a classic all 4 riders together and went from a 5-1 to Wolves to 5-1 to Belle Vue. Plenty of other great races too.
Change of glasses needed I think. Although last night wasn’t a classic and have been lots better there was still plenty of decent racing once the inside slickened off a bit.
And yeah of course just need to ride round the inside, tell Jason Doyle that lol
So he didn’t see Wright and King side by side in heat 3, or Batchelor pass Brennan in heat 4.
Track is fast and grippy though tonight, times in the 59s. It will start to move wider soon hopefully.
