Well it's the 23rd October season will finish in a week and we are still waiting for the last qualifier to cross the line, won't know till around 21.30 on Wednesday, that's if electric bill is paid !! What hope has speedway got to be taken seriously if the main match of the season is not known, teams can't run full publicity to hopefully attract more fans, traveling fans can't organise hotels to make a long journey more bearable,and fans need to be able to get time off work to attend , just hope over winter the people at the top who ' try and run ' our sport make deadlines so each competition is run on time and spread out over the summer, not scrambling about in the last week of October to fit it all in, rant over !!

Keep seeing a mention of large crowd but IMO no more than 500 which includes around 80 or so comets fans would not like to see a normal crowd !! Just saying . Ps sound system on 1st bend did not work very well

Can someone who goes to rye house / Lakeside confirm that the 20/20 draw normally only wins £20 or was it due to a comets fan winning you have another envelope to give to away fans, just asking ? As most other places 20/20 draw is £100-200 mark

Yes but Ryan air fly to Warsaw modlin airport very late at nite and it's 40 mile away from city centre !! KLM worked out more expensive from Newcastle, I hate Manchester airport only use it if I must, any airport is over 2 hours away for me

Theirs a diversion on side roads from just past Appleby for locals to use, if jct 40 closed use jct 41 and travel via greystoke to A66, easy peasy if you know wagon drivers

Regarding the comets fixture pile up, how about this, comets were the 1st to qualify for the shield then had to wait to see who it is against, the comets were the 1st to qualify for the KO cup and had to wait to see who we were against, and finally the comets are the 1st to qualify for the playoffs and we are still waiting to see who we ride against, Who are in the wrong now ps what happens if the weekend of the 27 + 28th and the following few days are wet ??

I think (but maybe wrong) as it's part of a national championship guest riders are allowed, but as its comets who may need guest, I would expect someone in charge at the bspa will see it different

This fixture should have been rearranged for mid week to give the possibility of 2 weekends for the final to take place, now got to pray no rain forecast for last weekend in October

Regarding the track with the amount of rain that fell in Workington in the previous 48 hours thank your lucky stars and the track staff for getting the meeting on with a raceable track Also the announcer is linked up to the referee so will have got a message of what needed to be said

With the amount of rain in Workington over the last 36 hours and probably more to come, will need a good drying wind to get track anywhere near raceable, let's hope for the best

Finally got tickets booked and printed off for a group of 9 on a 30 year reunion after meeting in Munich 1989, But what a nightmare the website was took ages to register an account then had to go through dotpay in polish to pay for them, had flights and hotels booked before tickets came out, gamble but works out cheaper than going to Cardiff !! Most expensive standard seats around £25 cheapest Cardiff seats £29 bonkers
