  1. Celina is obviously a bit of an unknown quantity but to say her signing has left the team terribly unbalanced is in my view an overstatement. Looking at the reserve pairings of the Championship teams most are made up of one or two fairly inexperienced 2 pointers. Celina has been riding for 17 years, on the right equipment I'm confident she will hold her own.
  2. Claus Vissing good fit for our final rider. If it is to be Claus and he reproduces his Glasgow form I'll be happy with that.
  3. Personally not a fan of Batch for all the reasons mentioned on here, this was reinforced when he disrespected the paying public at the Championship Pairs last season not trying and pulling wheelies at the back. On the plus side he has great pedigree, experience and as a fellow Aussie he can hopefully help mentor young Tate.
  4. Can't see it being any of those for various reasons but you never know.
  5. Great, hopefully weather good and you get to see a couple of great meetings. We visited Wimborne Road for your opening fixture against Oxford last season. It was a cracking day and biggest crowd I've seen at Poole, previously visited on 3 or 4 occasions when you guys were in the Elite league.
  6. great that there is open discussion, it is a forum after all. All the best for 2024 everyone .
  7. With regard to young Tate signing; I suggest that a major factor in him signing for Worky was that Darcy wanted his young protege riding at Workington because of the track. Personally I'm delighted we have got him and look forward to watching his progress.
  8. If she is signed up in Poland that would obviously rule her out. She was indeed impressive round Northside with race times on par with the men.
  9. Good little rider is Max with plenty of determination ! Reminds of a young Daniel Ratcliffe in Harry Potter when he is wearing his specs . Seen him a few times at Work last season and he always caught the eye. Hope he is recovering well from his end of season injury which sounded a bit nasty.
  10. Wonder if we would take a chance on Celina Liebmann
  11. Thanks Steve Can't see him wanting to make a comeback at 44.
  12. From my experience I can only say that Claus is a nice guy off the track. When he signed for Comets previously he actually came up in the stand and watched a race with us in one meeting, not many riders would do that. I have always believed after watching Claus at Ashfield a few times that Glasgow got good value out of him , he always seemed to try really hard to do himself justice riding for the Tigers. I believe he would be a solid signing especially at home, I think the Northside track would suit him.
  13. You are right the landscape has indeed changed. No you can't blame him for sure but it is frustrating and limiting if like Comets you are currently a weekend track.
  14. Because of the rider shortage which was exacerbated with the advent of doubling up/down I reckon we could be struggling to put a well balanced team together now, hope I'm wrong.
  15. Good solid team especially if Wrighty recaptures his form of last season following his injury.
  16. Remember reading somewhere that Connor lives in Glasgow and was serving an apprenticeship with Allied Vehicles which I believe is owned by the Facennas.
  17. Quite funny isn't it, Comets rode Saturday night for years never an issue. Thought he may have signed when he wasn't back at Glasgow i'm feeling a bit miffed off after hearing that. I would rather he said he got a better offer. He should improve again next season so will be a good rider again for you guys .
  18. Has he got Polish commitments next season? haven't seen him announced anywhere ?
  19. I came over a few times last season and would have to concur. Certainly a trier but looked a frustrating one if he was in your team.
