Used to love going to the Fours at Peterborough. Once they held it over a weekend and included an individual event which was won by Ryan Douglas if I remember rightly. Helped that the weather that weekend was superb.

We do need to get a grip on the dust, it's not acceptable to paying fans or a good selling point when trying to recruit new fans. You should be able to watch from were you wish without getting covered end of.

I would just like to say thank you to all the Tigers fans who made the journey to Worky today, you guys are a credit to not only Glasgow Tigers but speedway in general.👌

Spot on Kev. Steve is still learning re track prep he will tell you this himself. He has not been helped by weeks of bone dry weather. He roughed the track up this week in an attempt to get more water into the surface and provide a bit more of an outside line but you can't beat a bit of rain.

thank you, it was always going to require a good team effort to beat a Tigers team who have generally been very strong at away from home and that is something we have struggled with on a consistent basis. UTC .

I seen Vilads Nagel at Ashfield against Redcar, this young man looked the real deal so it's disappointing the Comets fans won't get to see him at The GT Tyres arena on this occasion.Still looking forward to what should be a really competitive meeting UTC!

Worky operate with transponders as far as I know. We have had close races decided by transponders in different meetings this season. Personally I think tenths of a second rounded up or down to the nearest tenth is precise enough for speedway. Transponders are useful for extremely close finishes. Don't know anything about Worky transponder issues on friday so can't help there.

Wonder if the riders have influenced slicker track prep? . I believe the outside line could be roughed up more for next week, certainly Tate hasn't been as effective on the slicker surface. Quality of racing has to be the main priority because that provides the entertainment but it is also important to win your home meetings. Sometimes you change track conditions and your own riders find it more challenging than the opposition so it becomes counter productive. Recent meetings have been on hot breezy days with high evaporation rates which haven't proved easy to mitigate against. I have noticed with the later starts that by the end of the meeting moisture starts to come back from the ground which coupled with watering at grading breaks has helped. Bomber will utiluse any outside line on Saturday 😃, this has the potential to be the best meeting of the season so the track needs to be a fitting stage with our boys really up for it. UTC !

Nice to read the complimentary views of first time visitors. It was a lovely evening for speedway but the exceedingly dry weather has made life difficult for the track staff. Comets managed to find something that worked in the second half of the meeting to send the Comets fans home happy. Big shout out to Jye Etheridge for riding through the pain barrier. Three of the Monarchs rode below their averages and we were fortunate that Victor only scored the one point after his 15 in the KOC clash. Thanks to the Monarchs fans who made the journey and best of luck for the playoffs.

Apart from our first away meeting at Scunny in the BSN Trophy Batch has shown his class away from home. Well done tonight Jacob, been riding well lately and has a bit of fight in him and to a lesser extent Vinnie. Seems like a poor one from Tate, 4 points over 2 meetings at Armadale for the Comets , 10 points as a guest for Redcar, hard to fathom that one. Seemed below par performance from Fraser tonight while 2 falls are uncharacteristic from what we have seen this season. Antti really should be pulling closer to his average on these tracks now. We had one fall less than in the KOC but mistakes seem to cost us good points. Gonna be tough tomorrow so we will need a full team effort. A win will do as realistically the bonus is beyond us. UTC !

There is a mini track at Worky would be good practice for the likes of Tate, Antti, Fraser, Jye and Vinnie.

Vinnie done well at Glasgow beating a much in form Leon Flint. Watched Fraser, Tate and Batch after the meeting.Antti is an enigma for sure, can be absolutely brilliant at times.

Apparently Batch blew an engine before heat 15 at Glasgow friday night. I heard his second engine wasn't as strong so he was using an engine borrowed from Hooky against the Cheetahs. He seemed to find a better setup for heat 13 after which I half expected to see him with Antti in 15. Jye was deserving of 15 though after a strong performance.

Pretty stiff breeze this morning from the south west although it is due lessen into the evening. The back straight is more sheltered with the wind from this direction as there are pine trees surrounding . Any dust will affect starting gate side,any early evening sunshine will mainly be on this side also as well as bends 1&2. I was reading that there will be a fly by along the coast by the Red Arrows who will be on their way from Blackpool to Edinburgh Tattoo around 6-30pm which will be better seen from starting gate side. Don't blame me if they don't materialise though 🤣, hope its a great meeting .

Enjoyable competetive meeting tonight with some top racing. Heats 7 and 14 very influential for the Comets.The Tigers turned what looked like a 3-3 into a 5-1 in heat 7 and what looked like a certain 1-5 in heat 14 into a 2-4 with a great last turn from Leon Flint although we thought Jye still pipped him but the transponder didn't agree. Well done both teams for some excellent entertainment.
