  1. GSA figures give you facts, whether you like it or not. People now seem to want a different system that deals in feelings or whether someone had a good or bad night here or there. People are then going to argue about how the facts came about. Finishing last by being dog slow or finishing last with a puncture after leading the race for 3 laps is still 0 points from 1 ride. Is Lambert better than Fricke? when he has a good night yes, but when he has a bad night no. The system isn't perfect, but sometimes I don't know what some of you really want. It seems to me some people want something to moan about more than they want to watch 4 guys, racing 4 laps with no brakes. Half of the people on here don't even go or watch speedway these days, they seem to get their kicks by moaning on here. If that is what floats your boat, crack on. For the record, I think Lambert and Fricke are pretty even overall. At the start of the year Fricke was probably better, by the SON, they were pretty level, and at the moment Lambert is the better rider on form. You can argue all you like as to who is better, all I know is I don't mind watching either of them at full tilt on a good racetrack. Belle Vue brought him in to replace one injured GP rider with another, a couple of members of the BSPL spat their dummy out and withdrew the permission with their own self interests at heart, and neither of them were the opposition promotion at the time. Just another example of where independent governance would work better than what we have at the moment.
  2. So now the UK promotions have to keep an eye on Polish weather forecasts as well as their own. I certainly think the poles have the better side of that deal. Makes it less likely Thursday clubs will sign Extraliga riders but the poles were never going to give up the 1 league rule without getting something back in return
  3. I just think they don't build teams, they build a group of well paid individuals. It'll always be that way if you employ the same type of riders. I've been in and around every team in the pits for many years and they all say the right things, but they don't build a real team spirit.
  4. Think it'd be RR for where he is in the averages Having said that I reckon he'll declare himself fit for tomorrow
  5. I agree, the team building has been the same plan for a while now. If you keep doing the same thing expect the same result. I think you need a fresh approach
  6. disagree. Riders need to learn to ride conditions that aren't perfect. The more experienced riders are having no problems, the kids on their rocket ships are getting out of control. Or should we just wrap them in cotton wool? half the problem now is the tracks they learn on are too slick and predicable they never learn how to deal with anything that isn't perfect
  7. so now we are awarding races after 1 lap or presumably that's why it took so long before the red lights came on so they at least did 2 laps. I think even the ref is bored and wants to go home
  8. Just when the refereeing is under scrutiny we get a clueless decision. How can they come up with these decisions
  9. Was told it's a fatal, by someone sitting in their van talking to the police outside the stadium. Who knows?
  10. The manager's put a lot of money in too, how do you think he got the job
  11. Disappointing from Glasgow, Poole really up for it, while Brennan and Basso looked like they had Torun on their minds, Cook didn't look at all interested or Nicol. Starke showed some desire, but when a guest looks more interested than the rest of the team you're in trouble. Guess the Man Manager didn't get the best out of his riders?
  12. Dan Bewley could have rode in the UK this year very easily. All he had to do was NOT ride in Sweden, just like Doyle and J Holder. Bewley is as loyal to UK speedway as Lambert or Woffinden. He just didn't have a British Title to his name until a week ago
  13. Completely agree, I just don't understand this "thirst for credibility" It's entertainment for crying out loud. But it's not just speedway, Football is a joke sport with its constant simulation, diving and feigning of injuries. Rugby is going the same way with it's "your tackle was 1cm too high, you're sent off" mentality. Everything is manufactured to suit a bigger agenda these days, from News, x-factor, Bake off, and sport in general. People just need to accept speedway for what it is. 4 people doing 4 laps on bikes with no brakes. and enjoy it for that. If people continue to look for a virtuous outcome, they will find only crushing disappointment. (in everything)
  14. Think of the crowds. No guarantee you two will meet in the final
  15. I think a rain off will pretty much suit everyone involved
  16. I believe someone once said, just because you're offended, doesn't make you right. He had an opinion, an opinion can't be right or wrong, it's an opinion, you either agree with it or you don't. It's a public forum, FFS you say you knew, that he knew, that you were this or that. And of course you have proof of this. Or is it an opinion. Please just walk on by if you don't agree
  17. But we had all the same conditions 3 years ago with Mitas tyres and they didn't fall apart.
  18. If they wanted to be in the meeting they would be in it. Lambert had no problem getting over for the GP qualifier at Glasgow. If you want to be in it you would be . Once it's on the CV, job done. Will we see Bewley in it next year? It's got nothing to do with Brexit or logistics, it has everything to do with DESIRE
  19. The carcass construction looks very similar to your drawing, the steel beads are there along with the other layers. The compound of the rubber is not really an issue like you say it's the construction. Lets be clear, the Anlas tyres are NOT wearing out. Tyre wear is NOT the issue. They are falling apart long before they wear out. If anything their wear rate is much better than the Mitas that preceeded it. Unfortunately that's unlikely. Not racing in the rain is very very rarely about grip levels, it's 90% about being able to see where you are going I believe it's poor quality construction and poor quality materials. But 100% what you have said is the issue
