  1. If you pay closer attention to my post about Danyon, you will see that I didnt quote you? it's just my opinion in general.... I'm not a hypocrite where Danyon's concerned if you read my posts properly....? I love watching Danyon race, I merely point out what I think are his flaws/short falls (no pun intended) and other clubs seem to have a problem with signing him also? (unless Poole sign him...I'll be thrilled for him if they do....) Why can't you just stick to commenting on the post ......instead of attacking the poster??? If it's something you don't agree with, you have to have a personal dig for some reason ?
  2. I think we need to turn the record over about Danyon?.....take a look at the 2020 Championship signings? we're not the only club who have over looked him ? Unless Poole sign him ?
  3. Point out a team in the Championship who don't have a few if's and but's ? Garrity and Harris are both 'big' race riders and can beat anyone on their day......making/missing the gate will be a common problem, which is why we need to get the surface right....not only for the start of the meeting, but more importantly, maintaining it throughout the meeting, so there's plenty of grip for Heats 13/15 !?
  4. Surely it's down to the 'BSPA' to develop British riders ? Not Poole Speedway Club? It's a difficult enough job to keep a club running/existing ? BSPA could introduce a 'rule' insisting all clubs have at least one 'developing' British rider in their team (obviously certain criteria's would have to be implied?)
  5. Agreed! Can't have a team of racers on a slick/inconsistent surface!? I'm sure our management already know this and will sort it out!
  6. Agreed! Can't really add anything to your prediction, other than to 'endorse' your comment about staying 'injury' free? I also think that if we stay injury free, then we will always have at least one strong reserve, which can be a 'trump' card at times!? Starting with 'Paco' ....on his day, he can beat any team's reserves/second string riders....home/away!
  7. Hume is definitely on the pace, but can't control the bike for 4 laps on a regular basis! He broke Ellis's collar bone last season! FACT!
  8. Quite right PtbaB….thank you for pointing that out...… my opinion is based on what I've seen of both riders at their best.....It's not a negative swipe at Danyon. I love watching Danyon ride a bike, he's an out an out racer......I just remember Jack Thomas being a class act when he won the British U19 semi Final at PB 2 seasons ago! Lawrence Rogers and David Mason obviously agree with me ?
  9. It will be even worse when they start developing the 'sports village' for the CG !
  10. Perry Barr in general has a negative effect on numbers attending speedway! (it's a sh#t hole!) Joking aside, there seems to be a lot of local opposition to the planned roadworks (flyover demolition)
  11. I expect Poole to sign 'Ellis', which will make them a potent side imo........
  12. Tough one to call for 1st place this season....but I predict that 'we' (B'ham) wont finish bottom !
  13. Great to see Connor Mountain fixed up! Well done Newcastle!
  14. More meetings and an even better starting 7 than last season. All for the same price! Brilliant. I really hope we can get the on-track product right now with a skilled 'curator'.......we don't want to fall short with an unfit surface!?
  15. Great value by sounds of it! Well done to our promoters/management!
  16. Perks and Rowe might be a better pair.....but Rowe is nowhere near as good as Shanes!
  17. Why don't someone just tell Col the bloomin answer? It's a Birmingham Speedway thread ? Somebody wants to invest in the club here?
  18. Assuming that all the other clubs have made significant improvements? My only concern is....and I'm not being negative....we have a team that''s capable of beating any other team when all are firing, but on the flip-side, we might be 'beatable' by the weakest team when they're not? I'm extremely happy with our 7 and look forward to seeing some proper action at PB this season..... If I had to choose between thumping everyone every week and winning the league, or seeing some great racing and not quite making the play-offs, then I'd choose the latter! May be it's my age?!
  19. Looks like there's going to be a few talented young Brits falling by the wayside, if they don't get fixed up? Surely Connor Mountain will get signed? Would love to see JPB back in action at NL level....he has/had massive potential ! I don't think ZW will re-appear? think his confidence is shot?
  20. I was happy for Brum to just survive their first season in the CL....play offs never entered my mind. With Nicholls and Covatti, you have 2 of the best riders in the division imo. There is only 2 BIG hitters in this league and that's Cook and Masters imo…..
  21. Leicester are weak at reserve imo.....(no disrespect, but it's a massive jump for Dan/Joe) Scunthorpe have a nice balance, as do Eastbourne imo.....
  22. When I say far stronger? I wasn't insinuating that we're far stronger than Somerset? I am suggesting that our starting 7 is far stronger than our 2019 starting 7 As for Ellis over Harris ? may be....but I'd rather have Harris over Schlein/Barker
