Paco's a lovely guy and a real fans favourite....more because of his personality than his riding skills (IMO) I think, if the Leagues stay the same, then the Championship reserve riders would be better off having a criteria of at least being British and may be having 2 reserve 'only' races as opposed to just the 1 at present. Reserve riders don't need to move in to the main body of the team based on GS averages, keep them flexible all season.

Can see 'Speedway' going to one big league next season....and keeping the NDL.... Premiership has been woeful.....

I'm really pleased to hear that there's a lot going on to save the club.....'We (fans/followers) need to hear this ' ! There's been nothing coming from the club about the future....there's hardly any fans on here discussing it....it's easy to see why some think that we are fading away? I dont get why there has to be so much secrecy if there are talks in the pipeline....if you leave it too long, you will have lost 'the fans' attention and 'we' will have found other things to do to fill our Wednesday evenings! What fan wants to endure another season like that? Uk Martin's point wasn't silly IMO....after the stop/start and uncertainty of another disappointing season, it's perfectly normal to have the thoughts that he did? afterall, we all know that riders deliberately under perform to manipulate averages....

He could've at least put some effort in against Edinburgh in the Cup matches ?

He's certainly got 'something'....but like you say, it's if/when he wants to use it? I wouldn't sign him again ! (Not that we'll have the option )

I like your grading of riders and 'take' on the season.... Harris = A+ :gave everything in every match...a TRUE LEGEND IMO! Grobauer = E :an absolute waste of space! Morris = C : Hit and miss as always! Shanes = E : Not up to Championship level IMO! Riss = Z : woeful, I wouldn't give him the time of day! Castagna = B : did his best and on his day performed well....lots of potential, just lacks that 'bottle' to go up a level ! Thomas = C : Potential is there, hope he can kick on! Promotion = A : purely for just sticking at it, when it would have been far easier to give up! Track Preparation (can't blame the staff....no shale/dodgy equipment....) disappointing...made for lack lustre racing....however Chris Harris's performances 'negate' my opinion. It obviously took a rider with deft skill and huge bottle to get something out of it...... It's a shame we signed a bunch of non-gaters and supplied a 'gating' track ??? NO LOGIC!

The only positive to come from last night, is that we completed our fixtures! Personally, I've fell out of love with speedway.

He's a better rider than Paco ! But there's no way B'ham will win by more than 8 points, let alone 18! It's about time Riss stood up to be counted! Shanes also needs to raise his game.

Agreed! It's called 'cheating' imo.... Set the bike up to reach the first turn (first). Who would want to watch that every week ? I'm a neutral for this match but I think it would be a fitting tribute to the late Danny Ayres if Scunthorpe could go all the way!

Its definitely going to be the last League match ! As for the announcement? No surprises there....the Masons have done remarkably well to get us to the end of the season! Well done David and Peter.....thanks for the last 2/3 seasons! I can't see Birmingham returning.....time to find another hobby!

Surely B'ham too strong for Newcastle ? (14/16 points win...) however, be great to see Adam riding and Barker and Mountain go well at PB!
