Agreed, but the trouble is....unless you log on to the website, you wouldn't see it? It needs to be 'hitting' the local press/radio/media etc..... I think (and its very difficult to do...) the 'speedway' word needs to be spread..... It's a tough one!

True...but if they have, then it would be respectful to let the 'loyal' fans know (i.e season ticket holders.... bought in faith...)

I certainly wouldn't hold it against Peter/David if they have to submit....but I'm sure the fans will have more respect if they try and find someone to take over the reins first, before just giving up.....I know that it's most likely that there wont be any interested parties, but may be a Midland select combination (Brum/Cov/Cradley) could step in? after all, Cradley ground shared with us a couple of years back? Surely if you're passionate about the sport, then you'd travel 20 or so miles to watch your team? Just a thought.....

Spot on! My dad always said that when he was alive.... the viewing at PB (through no fault of the promoters/manager) is dire!

I've read some bo##ox on this forum....I've no doubt contributed to some as well....but to say that nobody wanted to sign Harris/Riss/Shanes/Morris/Thomas... is pi##in ludicrous ! All 5 riders will be snapped up if we drop out the League.....I even think that Redcar would take a punt on Paco!

Difficult to flog a dead horse.....speedway doesn't cut it anymore in a City like Birmingham.... Football and Cricket dominate....and it's too expensive for most people to follow all '3' sports.

I disagree.....Shanes/Morris/Paco are certainly good enough ! Even if we had a team that won home and away every week, it wouldn't bring the fans back! It not about a successful team....??? How many times have we won the top flight division over the last 50 years??? It's all about the product and value for money.... Speedway as a sport is farcical with all the guest riders and poxy rules....also the modern engine has ruined things....its made surfaces harder to prepare....

We need someone local to take it on..... Let's face it....it's not a business where anyone is going to make any money....the owners will have to do it for the passion of the club/sport!

Not all Birmingham fans.....then again, what fan does like to see a struggling team ? I have been attending for 50 years and 1974 is the only year that has excited me! But I have kept attending.

Who else is to blame then? The Masons have put together a cracking side this season....what more can they do? Not sure promoting would make any difference? Its a shame that we get p#ss all help from local media....we need to get the 'old' faithful back down there.... My only gripe would be if we didn't manage to complete the season.... After supporting the club for 50 years this year....I fear the worst! I would like to hear the thoughts of Brian Buck....he has done so much for the club and it's revival. He is an unsung hero imo!

Birmingham Council are a disgrace! It would be totally different if it was a cricket match! FACT!

What was the crowd numbers ? I couldn't attend due to the dreaded 'ping' ! Good to see 'Mozza' silence the 'fickle' !

Don't know the answer to that...but its an important ? considering we need as many as possible to attend? (It needs broadcasting if it's all systems go....) Erik Riss is back which is great news!
