27/28 May - Scunny v Leicester KOC
lbw replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Scunthorpe av a permanent paramedic anyways......GODFREY! Jeez Rob Godfrey! I think he tried to crack a Dad's Army joke in his statement when he said the Air Ambulance provided entertainment!!! He seems to forget that it wasn't there for entertainment! I can just picture Captain Mainwaring saying to him, "You stupid boy!" Who do you think you are kidding Mr Godfrey, if you think this is how speedway should be run?! Great to hear from Joe, update from hospital http://scunthorpe-speedway.com/?p=14402 All the best, speedy recovery -
27/28 May - Scunny v Leicester KOC

Scunny av Redcar & Glasgow at home before Poole who are there on the 17th June. But it's on the night & available paramedic's it seems as per Godfrey's report on the Scunny website. Pays yer money takes yer chances which is no way to be thinking when attending a meeting at Scunny. Maybe all tracks should be made to declare how many paramedics & ambulances will be in attendance when the team line ups are announced??!!!!!! As you quite rightly ask questions Steve about attending when Poole are there............ Again, it doesn't matter how valid a club's reasons are for calling a meeting off the bottom line is this puts people off!......ok the weather is accepted, in most cases, for a call off. Hope Joe Alcock as a speedy recovery -

Yep Lions to win on aggregate, Dickson kicked ass after the 20 point defeat at the EWR last time. So with no repeat of that happening again Sunny Scunny won't be needing the polish! Hopefully us Pirates meet the Lions in the Final & not the semi's again. Always great battles & rivalries -
Durrrrrrrr! U must walk around dragging yer knuckles on the floor!

Oh, errrrrmmmm.......must admit he kinda gave that impression in the way he packed up at Leicester.

Shame Ellis Perks not riding coz he would've been a good signing for Brummies engine room. He knows Perry Barr inside out. He's a personal trainer last I heard. Would be great if he could be tempted back but I guess he still wants his money that he reckons he's owed by Leicester?

Brennan is class, I was at Redcar to see him win the British Under 21 title & he smashed it

Edinburgh - new home required….
lbw replied to JanAndersen's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Very sad to hear the news..... Not being up to date on all the background, is it not possible for the current promotion to become the new landlords of Armadale or is the sale for housing etc etc?.......whoops looks like from reading above its housing going on the site. Hope we see Edinburgh race again very soon -
Av a gud one at Perry Barr. I can't get this time (bugga!) but will be closely watching the score. C'mon the Pirates do the bizzo! Hope the Brummies get a good crowd, -1(me )

Don't get me wrong, at club level Bomber is still very entertaining & a big points scorer. Just me being a tad cheeky chappy
-
A 6 round pairs event is surely not viable for the club's. Doesn't entice me to go. It needs to be a one off meeting, the days of such an event bringing bigger crowds into each venue are sadly long gone. I don't see any logic in this decision.

Not even Peterborough could ride Peterborough last night!
-
I thought Bomber was the only guest rider ur allowed to use this season for a heat leader......well he's certainly been a photo 'Bomber' at most meetings up to now! .
-
Anyways, back to Brummies vs Pirates?
-
Lisa, Lawson along with Pickering won the opening round of the Prem Pairs

Hopefully sum, like myself, will travel down for both. Anyone looking to do the same may want to stay outside of Poole for better price on accommodation. -
