It was all going so well for you Rye House then you spoil it by signing Davey Watt!!!

Would rather have Rose in stead of Kerr maybe and no thanks to Etheridge, Phillips would be a better bet. If you get a NL guy in as a 2, you could swap Morris for Kerr!!

Peterborough Panthers 2017

He rides but don't think he races!!! :P -
That happened this year I believe, hence no LIndgren at Redcar, Sheffield. How about S Worrall 8.51 R Wells 7.71 L Rose 5.86 A Morris 4.83 M Kus 7.55 E Perks 3.00 J Knight 3.00 Comes in at 40.46, might get a reduction on Morris or Rose, wishful thinking, not sure Knight or Perks come in 2's or 3's? Who'd be a team manager for a living!!!

Does anyone know if any of the class of 2016 would get a reduction. We could have: 1. S Worrall 2. A Morris 3. L Rose 4. M Kus 5. L Lindgren 6. 3 pointer 7. 3 pointer This team comes in at 40.40 (over the limit I know hence the reduction question). The team has a very long tail but then all teams in the Championship may have the same problem. You would think the club would use their own assets and as we busted a gut to get Kus this year (2016) you would assume he would be in. Worrall wants to come back and I assume we would use Lindgren again. Rose was in fantastic form before the injury and Morris deserves a place, based on his end of season showing. You would have to find two 3 pointers with great potential, what is the likelihood of that!!!! (Jack Smith and Jake Knight??) I am not saying this will be the final team by a long stretch but team building is going to be fun. Makes me wonder why they agreed to such a low limit and didn't just stick with 42.5?? I'm sure we will find out on 28/11/2016?? http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/news/article.asp?id=100655

As this match did not take place in either the EL or the SGP its not a priority to Speedway Star, one of the reasons I stopped buying it. Forgot to say, Congrats to Glasgow, gutted the Diamonds did not win but maybe next year. Haven't been to Glasgow for a number of years as thought the place was a bit of a dump but after seeing the clips of Heat 13, the new owners have really done a lot with the place and it looks a great facility and race track. Will have to get myself up there next year. Once again, well done the Tigers.

I heard £50k and a house for his granny!!! :P

I agree, I would like all of this years Diamonds back with the exception of Phillips but that's not possible. So I would say Morris and Rose as certs. I would love to see Lambert back but I think he will want more meetings on the continent. I would think Ludvig and Kus would be back to keep costs down, so my team would be something like the one below, very weak I know!! 1. Lambert 8.76 :t: 2. A N Other or his Swedish cousin 3. Rose 5.86 4. Kus 7.55 5. Lindgren 7.65 6. Morris 4.83 7. Jake Knight 3.00 Now you all know why I don't put teams together!!!

Can't see Doyle et al signing up for this and how would one big league affect the Sky deal?? I'm not in favour of one big league and I personally don't want the EL bringing all the problems they have down to the PL. Sissis coming to Ncle, no thanks, would rather have Morris.

I know he was using them in Wolverhampton's Olympique so he may have tried them on Sunday. Wrong time to test engines in my opinion!! I think a lot of people where he has ridden for their club and missed a couple of meeting have a differing view of him and can't see the true potential. I have spoken with him a number of times and he is a great lad to chat with and always has time to speak with my youngest daughter. To watch him on a bike is fantastic and from a spectator point of view and getting bums on seats as it is, if he is available next year he should be first on the team sheet. I have really enjoyed his performances for the Diamonds this season and bar a couple of bad meeting has been by far our best rider with the exception of Lewis Rose. I hope Robert does go on to great heights and prove a lot of the haters wrong.

I would think Branford, Rose and Bewley will be in demand next season and I hope we at least get one of them, two would be nice!!! (not saying which two!!! )

I would love to see Kyle back, but I think the travel from his home to Newcastle every week was the reason he left the last time. I know he gets on really well with the promotion so it is not within the realms of possibility that he could be a Diamond again. I think we will have Ludvig and Kus back next year, I would bring Morris back and Rose needs a few more years in the PL so hopefully he will be back. It would be great to have either Lambert or Worrall or both back but I think Worrall will want to go Elite full time (don't know why as it is a rubbishe league) and I think Lambert will be snapped up by a Polish team which will rule him out. I was impressed with Palovaara early on but not sure what has happened of late so not sure about him. A lot will depend on makeup of the league. Also, depending on how much it has cost the promotion to field the team we put out in 2016, we may have to tighten our purse strings. If Worky are going to the wall, Wells would be a good shout!!

I see according to Twitter Leszno are having a look at Robert Lambert for next year https://twitter.com/SpeedwayGP/status/778575320962240512 Not sure if he was pencilled in for next year but might rule him out!!!

Yeah, I remember his piss poor showing at Stoke which cost us the league. Prick!!! I don't think I have even seen a rider block his team mates as much as he did that night. I think Mr Illingworth had him pinned against the pit wall at one point. The thing that made it even more annoying was the Sheffield promoter was in the crowd that night stood a couple of feet away from most Diamonds fans. Never liked going to Stoke after that!!!

I hate double headers, remember the one a couple of years ago against Somerset and we all know how that went and what it did to our season. Is it not better to have a meeting on a Sunday and then the day after as well (weather permitting, of course)?

Ipswich Vs Newcastle Thurs 15 Sep Pl
diamond@heart replied to Pob's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The who??, does Miss Piggy know :P I'm hoping the Kerminator turns up, he's much better on a bike than Kermit as he can't get his little green legs to reach the floor. (Your all imaging Kermit going round Foxhall now aren't you!!) -
I hope Morris is not the replacement as it's a massive step back. Gutted Rose is out and I think he is irreplaceable and to compound matters we are gonna have Morris and Phillips who leave us very very weak at reserve. This would not have been such an issue if the management had acted sooner and shown Phillips the door (harsh I know but needed to be done). I can't believe this no option line. As your telling me a young British lad with the chance of winning a bit of silverware would not jump at the chance!!! What happened to Tero, has he not recovered from his knee op and is he not an option?

Peterborough V Redcar 29/8/16
diamond@heart replied to SuperBear's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
So if the rumoured switch is Bjerre, gonna be a strange meeting this. Will he be riding for the team he's about to leave or racing against the team he has just left. If he's riding for Redcar, will it be maximum effort? By the way I'm not questioning his professionalism.
