Drop Robert Lambert!!! Are you mad. With that team you are expecting Ludvig to become the 2nd heat leader which in the past he has proven he can't make that step up, especially away from home. Then you also expect Lewis to become the 3rd heat leader, I think Lewis is great and love to watch him week in week out but I don't quite think he is ready. I understand you are being controversial, but for me that just too controversial. I think we must be able to find another 2 pointer, James Shanes looks a good shout but I'm not sure whether Ippo are going to snap him up or I think he may have weekend commitments. What about Tom Brennan, Connor's Eastbourne team mate?? Just my thoughts. We've had him before and never again. Plus with the number of Saturday afternoon BBQ's he has, we may never see him at Brough.

I think we will find that a lot this season. Danny seems to be riding OK away from home judging by his performance at Berwick (1 meeting I know) and it will take Connor time. I can see Connor coming on leaps and bounds at Brough but in my opinion Danny will always struggle, still has not got to grips with the tight track at Brough. But with this being at Glasgow, I live in hope for a gr8 performance from Danny!!!

Dark Horses in my opinion for the title. In Garrity, you have a racer and an entertainer who will get bums on seats and people talking. Barker is an entertainer as well and just needs his bikes sorting. Looking forward to my visit to the STMP when the Diamonds are in town!!

I like your confidence in the Diamonds getting 44. I think a lot will depend on how we gate, if we can get out of the traps early we can run them close. Can't make this one which is a shame as I enjoy my trips to Berwick even when we get stuffed.

I watched the practice on Sunday and after a slow start with the delay and the track needing to dry out, the action soon got underway. No Lambert as I believe he was in Poland (don't quote me on that) but some good laps by Steve and Ashley and Danny Phillips looked good, he was attacking the track more and looked to have more confidence. I was impressed with Connor, he was the first to take a tumble when trying to use the tricky parts of bends 1 and 2 but that did not phase him. Michael was in attendance and passing on good advice to Connor, which to be fair he was listening to and carrying out and by the time I left you could see an improvement. Ludvig seemed to have a number of bike issues and made more bike changes than Tomasz Gollob , according to Twitter I think he got them sorted for Monday, hopefully the clouds of white smoke coming out of his engine at one point were not too costly . Lewis Rose seemed to show no ill effects from his injury but I think his eyesight may have been affected judging by the colour scheme on his bikes!!! All in all I saw what I expected from the practice session and I think we should hopefully be in with an entertaining season. I soon realised how f*****g cold Brough Park is so wrap up well on Sunday night!!

Lets hope they can FOSTER a good relationship early on!!! :D

I know he also attended the recent training session at IOW with all the youth Team Gb riders (Kyle Bickley, G Flint etc) led by S Worrall, hopefully all this extra work will pay off for the lad. Fingers crossed.

Looks a tough start for the Diamonds in April with home matches against Sheffield and Ipswich and an away match against Glasgow, with Berwick, Redcar and Workington thrown in as well!!!

I thought the idea of an individual meeting had been scrapped and they were gonna hold the NL 4's instead?

Or coming to tapes with the wrong helmet cover on (or none at all!!!) and having to get your mechanic to change it for. I don't think we should mention trying to use the wrong gate position!!!

I to think you are doing Ian Thomas a dis-service. He brought a lot of things including the Owen Brothers to Newcastle and always put on a show. Yes George has done great things for Newcastle but I think if faced with the same things as Ian, maybe he would walk away as well, not sure. Still think Ian was great for Newcastle and speedway in general, both him and Dave Younghusband knew a lot of the tricks of the trade!! Still remember when he accused Scotty Nicholls of pushing him down the hill at Belle Vue I think.
