Sense of humour bypass or what!!! I am merely highlighting a piece of news that is in the public domain, albeit something that happened years ago at the start of his career, I'm not saying he still does this!!!. As for disrespecting Cookie, I have the upmost respect for Cookie and enjoy his visits to Brough as he is a great guy to talk too and watch on a speedway bike. I look forward to him representing Team GB this weekend and hope he does well in the British GP. You were painting him as a person who walks on water and craps £50 notes, but we have all done things in our past which we regret, it what makes us human. As you have told mammy on me, I look forward to the police call, i'll just make sure I have more than my socks and shoes on when they knock!!! :P

Cracking victory and cracking performance by the Diamonds. Thoroughly enjoyed the meeting, yes it lasted longer than most would have liked but what you complaining for, £5 per hour, it would cost you move per hour to go to Pirates Cove!!! As people have said, if the track is breaking up, then it needs repairing and it can't just be left as it would have been dangerous to ride. As regard the comment of getting it right in the first place, I'm been to Workington a few times when the track has been dog awful and been to high profile meetings when they have been dragged out. I must admit after seeing the first leg score and scorers I didn't think we had a chance and after losing Robert (to a broken wrist and neck injury http://www.kingslynnstars.co/news.php?extend.30466) and Cookie flying early on, I thought we would struggle to get a home win let alone an aggregate victory. Credit to all of the Diamonds for digging deep and pulling this one out of the bag, Ludvig was back to his best after ditching those GTR's and I thought Hopwood scored well and deserved more. For Workington, Cookie was Cookie, but disappointed at him in Heat 15, if it was his bike, doesn't he have two and they seemed to sort Jorgensen's bike out with a bit of gentle persuasion (a hammer can fix anything) and I thought Campton had one of his better meetings at Newcastle for a long time. Hopefully we can kick on from this and get a few points on the road as well, Glasgow next in the cup which should be interesting and hopefully Lambert not out for too long. Also love the quote by Goodisonblue on page 6 of the updates for the match 'diamonds got lucky being able use Worrall replace the useless lambert'. Not bad being named in the TeamGB lineup for the WTC, qualifying for the U21 Final and all this and he is useless. More like your f*****g clueless.

Coles Out Now For Captain Fantastic
diamond@heart replied to boomerang's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Interesting to see the scores from IOW v Kent last night. Connor got 3,3,3,R and Hopwood 2,1,2,3,F. They met in Heat 7 with Connor taking the win with Hopwood in third. Clearly Connor has regained some of his confidence back and looks to be riding well, maybe he just never got used to Brough or the Championship. Good on the lad, I still think we should have stuck with him as I don't think he is any different to Greenwood, but then I am also not sure whether he requested the move? -
I said tell them off not scare them off!!!

I think we all knew that when the team was put together we were very weak at reserve and a lot was pinned on Danny having a much improved year. Prior to Danny's injury I don't think he had really kicked on but that might just be me. I believe that having brought in Greenwood we have replaced like for like, with the only notable difference being his confidence may not be as low as Connor's was/is. I was not impressed with Greenwood the last time he rode for us and based on last nights performance (I was not at the STMP), my opinion has not changed. I think that the issue that we have at the moment is that Rose, Morris and Lindgren have all suffered a dip in form at the same time, which is killing our middle order. Rose does not seem to be able to make the starts which means he is having to work hard for every point and when you watch him around Brough he does not seem to have the top end speed he had a couple of weeks back (British Final Semi Final meeting). I don't think they will drop Rose as I think he will be in the Diamonds team for a number of years, well at least I hope. Ludvig appears to have started his seasonal dip early which is a surprise as I believe his scores and performances on the continent are in stark contrast, just look at his recent performance in the GP Qualifier I believe (15 points). With Ashley, I was never impressed when we signed him last year, but he surprised me and proved me wrong and I think on his day he is a great rider to have in the team who can score us lots of points but I think if any rider is going to make way and be dropped, I see him as the likely candidate, which would be a shame as I think he can do a great job for us. As a team where do we go from here, I still believe we have a solid top 5 to match most teams in the league but we need to find a free scoring reserve which seem to be as rare as hens teeth. As a lot of people are saying, we need to make changes and I think they are right, I don't think Lambert, Worrall or Rose are likely to be dropped and as I have said that leaves Lindgren and Morris or do we continue as we are and try reshuffling our riding order and put Rose at two and shift Morris to 3 or 4, I don't know. If we are to make changes, I don't know who we would bring in, Rene is a good shout but as people have said, he is not the rider he was when we had Lemo, Larsen and Bach and I don't think he would add anything more to the team than we already have. I think maybe the riders need a bollocking of monumental proportions to shake them up a bit and hopefully kick start our season. Onwards and hopefully upwards as they say.

Looks the inclusion of Greenwood has shored up our reserve issues!!! Yet another disappointing display by our engine room. Rose needs to find his gating gloves and Lindgren seems to have dipped early. This is disappointing as we as Diamonds fans know this team is better than this.

I see we have two meeting in one day on 25 June against Workington in the restaging of the cup match. 1st leg at 1pm over at Derwent Park with the return at Newcastle later that day. Sounds interesting!!! http://www.speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.32525

I think the question you should ask is how many points would be lost if we replaced Lambert with Kus not to mention fans!! No brainer, neither can gate in my opinion but if Kus misses the gate he very rarely passes anyone and usually goes backwards, if Lambert misses the gate, he chases like mad and most time he passes them. I really can't see why you would contemplate replacing Lambert with Kus, its like replacing Worrall with Lee Smethills!!!

Bandits V Diamonds 10/6/17
diamond@heart replied to havenagotahope's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
At first I thought you were telling us about your routine for getting out of bed. Covers on in the morning, off just after lunch (after a lie in) but I'm still confident after my lie in that the Bandits will win. I'm hoping the Diamonds can an away win, as I think we need one to help our climb up the table. Will depend how our reserves cope. Not sure of the weather forecast, hopefully it improves!! -
Newcastle Vs Sheffield 04 Jun 17 @6.30pm

He usually makes more sense than Roy as well!!! -
At least Connor turns up week after week and gives 110% which is more than you get with Boxall. With the warmer weather coming, how many meetings will he miss with BBQ injuries.
-
I think he over reacted massively. Connor won't the last ride to fall in front of another under pressure and many a top rider has done it. It was good to see Connor stand up for himself and I think the lad has alot of potential, he just needs a bit more self belief in his abilities and when he is in a points scoring position to just calm down and ride within himself.

Why are Eastbourne getting sick of Coles???

I think the least said about that suggestion the better!!!

Newcastle V Edinburgh Ch 14/5/17 @ 6.30pm
diamond@heart replied to Mr Blobby's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I think I may have just logged onto an alternate reality BSF forum or someone has not been taking the pills. For starts, dropping Connor and dropping Josh in at the deep end is pure lunacy, the lad is a million miles away from SGB Championship level and he would have had to make almost unprecedented progress for him to even be considered. I think it is good that Newcastle are looking to the future but I think he is viewed as way in the future. Second and I feel I am repeating myself here but, drop Robert Lambert, come on, next you'll be saying we should bring back Manuel Hauzinger!!! The way Lambert and Worrall popped out of the start in 15 and performances for the Diamonds by both and especially Lambert at Peterborough prove exactly why he needs to stay. I don't think any of our riders really rode well last night, probably Ashley had his best start to a meeting for a while but all of the team were very inconsistent and the Monarchs took advantage of that. I was impressed with Hopwood, he got stuck in and once he has got to grips with the track I think he could be a good addition to the team. It is a real shame he could not have held on for another two bends in 14 as I think Ludvig would have rounded both of them and at worst we would have got a 4-2 but it was not meant to be. I'm off to see if anything else is strange in this reality, maybe Prince William is King William and Sunderland won the Premier League and Champion League!! :o -
Crash with Taylor Poole I believe.
