  1. Very true but bigcatdiary stated that Lambert's van (and Lambert) does no know where the EOES is. I corrected bcd by stating that he made it to the 4's final (clearly I should have made reference to the semi final!!), but either way he was at the final as he was interviewed on the Sunday. I did not state that he rode in said final. Also, bcd was implying that RL did not know where the EOES does, I think he clearly does know where it is. What the f**k all of this has to do with tonights match, I'm not sure unless bcd is stating Lambert will be a no show. Don't know why that would be the case as he is at a club where he wants to ride, he talents are appreciated by the management, fellow team members and fans. Was this not the case, or maybe he was sick of Panthers fans having a go, not sure, just guessing.
  2. Were they not, I was in attendance on both days and I definitely saw Lambert, Phillips, Rose and Worrall in attendance, mind you their was a lot of dust so I could have bee mistaken. I also believe he got interviewed on the Sunday along with Cookie, Rosco and a few others. Unless you are mistaken Lambert for TBC as I know his van did not make it to the EOES!!! http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/15887/premier-league-semi-finals-Peterborough
  3. Unlikely, he would have to jump from 3.55 to 5.90 (+2.35). I'd be impressed if he did and he would deserve the title of best reserve in the league, but I will go with Tsunami's view of L Rose and if he's not the best, he's certainly in the top 1.
  4. Not from 1/9 they are not, if I am reading the averages correctly: Rose - 5.89 Wilson Dean - 5.83 Roynon: 4.88 Wilko: 5.56 And with the exception of BWD, the others have been in the sport a lot longer!!
  5. I would not put the cart before the house just yet!!! I think we need to win this one and I think we can if we ride as a team and put on the sort of performance we know they all can. I also think with half a team we'll get f**k all out of the Scunny match and our next two home matches are our toughest (Monarchs and Rebels) which I will miss due to family holiday!!! Any news on Lightning yet?
  6. That is true but I don't think it will happen. I think Victor will remain at 2, Steve will move to 1 and Lambert to 5 and therefore, Rose will still get to ride with his KL mate Ruthless Roberto Lambert!!!! :t:
  7. Am I correct in my understanding that we have until end of August to make any changes? Don't think it would make any difference which rider between Victor or Rose should they swap positions. I think Victor would be strong at reserve and Rose is good at No. 2 in my opinion, seems to make him up his game even more. Plus he will get to ride with his Kings Lynn buddy Ruthless. Win, Win!!
  8. Does it have its own social media account yet!!
  9. I hope your right as well, 3 or points would go along way to guarantee play off spot. He said on Twitter his back was still sore yesterday and he was flying to Sweden to see his usual guy. Hopefully he gets it sorted. Hoping for a nice Diamonds win, if we can get a good performance from Kus and Lambert is back to his best, I think we will do OK. Would be nice for another big points haul from Rose. Can't see Peterborough being as bad as they were on Sunday, sure they will be fired up with revenge on their minds.
  10. I would go for Lasse Bjerre if we had the option, seems to have a liking for Peterborough track. Just tell Ludvig to put a bit of deep heat on it, suck it up and get on with it!!! Hope he is fit as he is riding better away from home than in previous years. Lambert for me is not gating and how many times now has he pulled his cut out off!! I'm just putting it down to an off night. I also think we should have Elliott Worrall on the mic every week, makes a lot more sense than Ranting Roy!!!!
  11. Great win by Diamonds and always a pleasure to watch the Cookie Monster around Brough, class act. Every Diamond contributed and shows our strength at home was Lambert has a shocker by his standards and we still run out comfortable winners. Surely only a matter of time before Rose records a max (whether paid or full)!!! I see according to Diamonds report Ludvig is a doubt for Friday due to injuring his back in Heat 15!!!
  12. Great win by the Diamonds last night and a superb performance by Lewis Rose. Some good racing with not a lot of passing but some strange refereeing decisions. I thought the ref seemed to hold the tapes a bit too long last night and maybe that was the reason behind the Worrall and Bjerre (??) tapes offences?? I do think he got it right both times with Worrall as he did jump the start but on one he impeded himself. The Robson one was a joke, first and foremost in my opinion Bjerre gave Matej a big shove with led to all the riders shuffling out towards the 2nd bend fence and Robbo had no room and nowhere to go and had to drop it. Failing that, Kus was way out in front when the race was stopped and the riders hand not even exited bend 3 and Robbo was up and looked to be getting off track so why stop the race!! In the Re-Run, not sure if was a rush of blood but Matej charged hard under Bjerre and looked to have passed him as Bjerre tried to go round him in a gap that did not exist/disappearred (just my opinion). The Heat 15 one was strange as Lambert was in the lead and in control and Steve being the racer that he is dived hard under Busch who bailed in spectacular fashion, I think Steve was in front at the time and I have seen them go either was but think it was harsh on Steve. The 5-1 in heat 2 was a shock for me and I was hoping Phillips would kick on and get some confidence bosting points but alas that did not happen. He was still way off the pace and considering how many laps he has done around that track was a surprise. Etheridge doing a lap of honour for beating nobody did make me chuckle quite a lot but I suppose you got to celebrate little victories. Strange Bjerre not coming out in 15, but as he has reported he does not want to race for the Bears not really a surprise, shame really as he is entertaining to watch around the STMP. Just a quick question, can somebody tell me why the announcer (not Roy) at Redcar keeps informing us of xx seconds remaining when all of the riders are up at tapes, by the end of the night it was really starting to get right on my nerves!!! Great win by the Diamonds, good 3 points but should have been 4.
  13. Thanks and I'm shocked that this information has not been posted on the Diamonds website!!!! :P Looking for a good performance from the Diamonds tonight against a changed and rejuvenated Bears team. Hopefully this will be a good meeting and not decided in the 1st bend.
  14. Always amazes me that day before an away match nothing on Diamonds website about Ludvig and Palovaara not being available and who replacements are. Expect something will be on the site eventually. If you were not at the match on Sunday, how else are you supposed to find out and make a decision on whether to go. Website looks very good and all but doesn't tell you a lot. Find out more from this forum, not saying all of it is true but always the first place I look which should not be the case. Agree!!!
  15. I totally agree. As I have said before if Rose has an off night, Phillips is never scoring to aid/cover that and I think we are putting too much pressure on Rose. I think Phillips has had a good run and I'm sorry to say but however we bring in can't be any worse. I will probably get shot down for this but what about Jake Knight (Eastbourne), he seems to be doing OK in the NL or is his average too high, too old, too experienced!! I think Eastbourne are a Saturday track and he's based in Cambridge I think? Great win by the Diamonds last night and solid performances from all our riders with the obvious exception(s). Matej seemed to have an off night but we covered for him and even Lambert had an off night by his standards. As Stead has already tweeted and I agree, one of his worst displays at Brough for quite some time, looked on the pace but seemed to be trying different lines and getting no where. Always enjoy watching Josh Bates, very entertaining rider who gives 110% every time I see him. Shame Garrity was not available as would have added a bit more spice to the encounter!! Onwards and upwards for the Diamonds, just need a couple of good away wins to boast our Play-Off chances.
  16. Yes we should rename the thread 'So Who Is Going To Win The Premier League In 2016?' #Whocares #letstalkabouttheDiamondsteamofold Putting the past aside for a moment. I think Somerset do look the team to beat at the moment but I will be interested to see how they fair at Brough and on the forthcoming northern tour. I think Edinburgh will be in with a shout as they seem to be hitting form at the moment. Depends who is up for it the most on a no doubt freezing cold October night!! Would love to see the Diamonds do it as I am sure every other Diamonds fan would, and speedway fan for that matter!!!
  17. How very true when you look at who his team mates where!! So very true. I was secretly hoping Phillips would do a Scarisbrick at the 4's but sadly to no avail. How I long to go back to those days of Beaton, Emerson, Hunter, Owen and Bloxsome!! And Backadder as well.
  18. Hopefully the same outcome when we had Rene and Kenni in the PLRC. A Diamonds winner. Looks a cracking lineup and probably one of the strongest fields I've seen in years. Probably because the lad has not learnt to walk on water like Stoney could!!!
  19. We did it in the 80's I believe with Robbie Foy!! I thought that a few years ago when Birmingham were beating everyone with Johno, Lyons et al in their team and all they ended up winning was the 4's, I think. You never know and I hope the Diamonds are in the mix at the end.
  20. Poor performance by Diamonds. Shows why we can't continue to carry Phillips. Kus shocking, came in for his away performances and currently not delivering. We'll win nothing with performances like that. Trophies and titles are won on the road!!!!
  21. If we can contain the Comets over the first 5-6 heats I think we may be in with a chance of the win. In the League Cup we let them pull out a decent lead over those heats and we never really recovered. Should be a good meeting and hoping for a Diamonds win!!
  22. Good win for the Bears last night against good opposition, could make Sundays match more interesting. Bjerre seems to have found some form and was impressive at the 4's and Busch looks a good addition to the team. May all come down to the reserves as it did last night..
  23. Great result for the Diamonds last night and I think the result demonstrates the potential that this team has. It is just a shame we very really get to field our 1-7 and I appreciate that we brought the Fish in last night so our true 1-7 did not draw the meeting but I think Stevie would have matched if not done better than the Fish. Sheffield can also point to the fact they were without Garrity who would maybe allowed them to push the Diamonds harder, certainly in the home leg. Onwards to either Berwick or Rye House, not sure who I would prefer to have. Also great to see Danny getting in amongst the points as well, hopefully he can chip in with a few on Saturday as well at the 4's!!!
