  1. Where's Aljack when you need him? Think we all knew what the decesion was going to be, but to be continually told its on and the tracks fine is the most annoying thing! Its the last week of school hols, last time that many kids will be going and for them to be let down at the last minute is hard to take as they have been looking forward to it all day. http://www.ipswichwitches.co has no updates on it. Facebook page has a few disgruntled fans though! If there is any reply from the "Witches" it will just be: "Blah blah blah, not our fault it was the weather, that last mm put us over the edge!"
  2. I have just tweeted them wheres the update, but ............. (tumbleweed)
  3. just checked twitter and nothng on there saying either way..... and witches facebook page had nothing either!
  4. Where i am near town centre its not too bad, had the same amount of the wet stuff for all of today than what we did in that shower last week about tea time! (well thats what the empty waterbutt tells me) Quite bright here now and rain only been a light drizzle since about 5.30, personally will be leaving it late before setting off.
  5. Howcome Pavlic gets 8th in Lonigo semi but still reserve, when Kidermand gets 10th in Denmark semi but is now in?
  6. Think its going to be one of these meetings that the Witches should not be too troubled but will falter somehow(thrown away points) and just about come away with the win.
  7. And not an Englishman in sight.............. Having Risager at 5 means he will get an outside gate in heat 13, struggles in "easy" 14 from there so can't see many heat advantages now!
  8. Taken from ipswich website: There is also one riding order change following a few issues in recent weeks; Morten Risager & Leigh Lanham are to swap places. So come on then what are these few issues? Seems that the tail is wagging the dog!?
  9. Looking at the PL this year there a a fair few British "number 7's" that are doing a good job and with a bit more help (eg flight money) would be staking a claim for 2nd string spots. At Ipswich we have Ellis, and recently we have also seen, Blackbird, Bates, Kerr, Starke and Rose riding well.
  10. Interesting couple of tweets from Richie Worrall 4 ex motocross lads in for team GB tonight! Just shows.. British speedway needs more motocross lads to make the switch over! #bettermoney Then teams might spend money on there tracks and not flights... #britishspeedway Maybe not a direct dig at the Newcastle promotion but food for thought.....
  11. Think I'll give it a miss now. What with there being football on TV and then the SGP.
  12. I'd do something different in that i'd have Leigh at 2 and Morten at 5. Ben and Leigh seem to ride well together so try and get as many 5-1's from the 3 times they are together. Also gives Leigh an "easy" heat 8, something that Cam struggles with especially from gate 4. Rohan and Cam get on well too. Morten at 5 would let him have the "star" status he possibly craves by being the dominant rider. 1 Ben 2 Leigh 3 Rohan 4 Cam 5 Morten 6 Adam 7 Ritchie
  13. Don't know if Ipswich were that good or Redcar that bad, probably a bit of both. Only rider that can take any credit for the Bears was Wilkinson. Steady gating and bike even tough sounded like a bag of nails, was certainly quick! Well done to Barker, full 15 pointer and never threatened.
  14. i know what you mean, 4 riders, 4 laps simple isn't it!? A rider can either ride or not, via the average they have. So why does it need a rulebook of 56 pages?
  15. You are just hoping it rains so you can be at the rerun!
  16. I did query that with Adam being 7th in the averages was Blackbird still allowed but nothing back. Probably same as when Barker and Lanham missing for British Final qualifiers, we were allowed a guest for both. Prehaps 1.18.2.4 "trumps" all other rules? or by using Blackbird another team will object, his points get deducted and the Witches miss the play offs. All because the "powers at be" will not listen to the fans and especially despise the BSF so much as we are all "no nothing keyboard warriors!"
  17. Pete Simmons has said that they are using 18.1.2.4 so a guest to his ave is ok, the same rule was used for Howarth against Ipswich on the 29/6
  18. rule 18.1.2.4 When the ACU nominate an ACU licensed Rider to an FIM Speedway Championship, or is selected to ride Speedway for Team GB, GB U21, then irrespective of the Rider’s MA a choice of Guest or Rider Replacement facility is available. but 18.2.2 In the Premier League e) Absent #7: NL G* : a Rider eligible for a NL Team who has never achieved an actual PL MA of 4.00 or above So could read it that 18.1.2.4 takes preference, so any guest under the missing rider (Ellis 4.00) or as he is at #7 then 18.2.2 applies...... Then you have to consider if the NL rider is allowed to guest as either a guest or PL only guest. eg have they achieved 4.00 in PL or are they in a PL 1-7. Both would not allow them to by a guest for a number #7 in a PL team. the BSPA's own declarations list has failed to list Nielsen and Kerr as in a PL's 1-7, whereas Branford is still listed in one!? Confused yet?
  19. Strange meeting last night, but i think that might be a case of sitting in the "big stand" as usual place was a building site! Seemed a totally different place from up there. What a shocker the ref had though, Can't see how he/she managed to exclude Tungate in heat 3 and not Ellis for exactly the same thing! Then not to see Smith rolling a couple of times and then to top it off exclude Ashworth for knocking off Lanham! Had to ask Jules about the last one as couldn't hear the PA from the gods! As for the track.... well it was the same for both sides and to not get dust from a track with the weather we had was amazing. Personally would like to see the rakers stop raking the dirt back going into both corners, just creates rumble strips! Also nice to see Ellis going so well, had a couple of scary moments in heat 2 and good to see the reserves swapped in 7 and 8.
  20. Both fined for the pits scuffle Cook expelled from meeting for changing room incident
  21. Thing is there was a real possibility that Barker and Cook would have met another 2 times and maybe the ref thought that after considering his options it was best to exclude the main/only cause of the incident to save any future disagreements that may have happened on track?
