Middlesbrough Tigers 2025

Can't really think of a team less "win at all costs" than Belle Vue. They seems to bring in a young 3 point newcomer every year. The only time they won the league was when the upcoming youngster was Dan Bewley. -

I must have missed Bewley Flat-earthing, "can-pushing", and denying the moon landings. All I've seen on his socials is mountain-biking in Wales, eating goats milk yoghurt for breakfast, and riding (and blowing up) an upright Godden. -

It might be a cock-up from Neil Vatcher saying that silencers have to be a minimum of 4 years old, and it might be a problem for riders who have bought new silencers, but this rule is a good day for those who long to hear the roar of an old JAP or 70s Jawa -
Poole don't have a competitive side compared to Belle Vue, Sheffield, Leicester and Oxford, yet all four of them operate an NDL side.

Belle Vue Aces 2025

Bewley - One of two genuine world-class British riders, but the only one riding in Britain. Untouchable in the play-off final. I can see him hitting a 10-point average in 2025. Kurtz - Hard to improve on his 2024 performance, but reaching his peak years now. Loves Belle Vue and good mates with Bewley. Aces fans will be happy with him as skipper again. Lidsey - On a good average due to a mid-season dip in form. But his finish to the season showed he has the potential to push his average further. Cook - Actually outscored his brother on away tracks and has a higher away average. Messed about a bit by Birmingham. If he gets dialled into his new home circuit, he could be quite the find. Blodorn - Had a bit of a flat year last year, which quite a lot of riders experience in their 2nd or 3rd year, before kicking on again. Plenty of talent and potential, and only just out of his teenage years. Zischke - The next big Aussie thing. I rate him very highly Mulford - As good as any RS and will benefit from being in a successful team. -

Leicester Lions 2025

I don't see why Leicester fans are worried. Yes, Howarth for Lawson is a weakening, but for a while last season, heading towards the play-offs, Leicester were the strongest in the league. Of course Ipswich are massively strong on paper. Clear favourites. But the other play-off sides are weakened similar to Leicester. Belle Vue with Zach Cook for Ben Cook, and Sheffield with Rowe for Howarth. Leicester will still be thereabouts. -

And Tom Brennan who finished 2022 on 5.86 and started 2023 at reserve on his reduced 4.40, with Norick Blodorn in the team on his 5.45, even though people wrongly kept telling us that Brennan would be in the main body -

Yes, that's everyone's best guess at the line-up, and has been for the past month. -
Really? They've got a top three that only Belle Vue can better. 2 second strings that are the equal of any others in the league A No.6 who is a 5.00+ rider on a 25% discount and easily the best rising star in the league.
-
That's the worry. They said they were building around Tom Brennan. Now they haven't even got Tom Brennan. How low can you go for a No.1 to build around?

Confirmed Signings for 2025

Suspect your teams will be correct, and you'll also need to add Kent and other(s). But I reckon you'll be waiting a while to fill in any riders. -
Hope Birmingham can get a competitive team, but the latest press release doesn't give much confidence. "We were planning on building a team around Tom Brennan" didn't exactly sound very promising, but having lost Brennan it's hard to see where they go next. I'm dreading the next press release of "We are building around the twin spearhead of Steve Worrall and Wiktor Lampart"
-
Either that, or there's one almighty punch up going on in Tenerife at the moment. No signing is official until a full 1-7 is submitted and accepted by the BSPL office. It could be that Ipswich have announced their 1-7 in an attempt to put pressure on others still fighting for a 39 limit...

You think that Belle Vue pay for them to fly out to Poland and back for Polish matches? -

Bewley is British, and Kurtz is British-based (Warrington). So no flight costs there. -
But like I said, it wasn't a Belle Vue article. It was a Jake Mulford interview from either James Black, Paul Burbridge, Ryan Guest, Keith McGhee or David Rowe. (There are 5 articles on the page and those 5 names, but strangely it doesn't say who wrote which one).
-
You seem confused about the source of your news. The Belle Vue press release (from press officer Hayley Bromley) regarding Mulford said nothing about his Championship team See here https://www.bellevue-speedway.com/blog/latest-news-2/2025-rising-star-revealed-355. That was 18 October and there has been no release from Belle Vue since. (If they can be accused of anything, it's a lack of any press info from the club). The subject of your anger should to be the Speedway Star journalist (Keith McGhee, I guess?) who seems to have leaked the Redcar news in an ainterview with Mulford in Speedway Star. (The authors of the articles are listed at the top of the page, but they don't say which person wrote which article on the page. However McGhee seems to be the only Northern one, so I guess it's him as he's North Yorkshire based).
