I will add though that some photos from last night show the track looking really good! Smooth, no ruts and evenly watered (apart from bend 1 as @Historian pointed out)

I don't understand what race times have to do with it? A fast track can still be dangerous. The person in front can pick a "raceable" line. It's the other 3 bucking around and struggling to turn on the other lines that is the issue!

Does it? A track can be prepared differently week on week. Id imagine Tuesday's downpour did the track wonders! Having seen other photos now it certainly looks an improvement

You can't get a lot for £10 these day Gav! And the problem is seeing it as 15 minutes of entertainment, it's much more than that. Someone posted on this forum the other day how the pub would then be 15 minutes of drinking. It's about the whole night out. Family of 4 would pay £35-40 at most championship clubs considering kids are usually £1 or something. Not many places you can take kids that cheap. The biggest stumbling block is the rented tracks. They're the ones that seem to be struggling the most.

Top 3 are allowed a guest. 4/5 are R/R unless you have more than one rider missing then you can choose who is R/R and who is guest (ie. You can run R/R in top 3 and have a guest for 4/5)

Missed the gate due to trying to jump it. Track was a little too grippy for any passing so he had no chance anyway!

I wouldn't say he didn't put in effort. More he went early on every race, impeding himself and realised quickly if you didn't make the gate you were screwed

His van was trashed inside. He pretty much has 3 bikes and that's it. No tools, spares or racing equipment. I'm sure he'll be back this week
