Unfortunately that's not how everyone feels about speedway. Some people want to see their teams win, and have a chance of winning silverware.
It's the same in every sport, when football teams get relegated their fans drop off in their thousands.

How can you promote a fixture if you don't know it's going ahead or not? Better to call it now and sort other arrangements than commit to the costs like rent/programmes/paramedics that will all need paying in advance of the meeting.
Biggest problem bringing in people from abroad will be visas (as you guys at Poole have found). Wouldn't be sorted in time for the transfer deadline I assume!
Who says it was Stewart's call all by himself? Calling meetings off is a case of not wanting to risk money when the forecast is against you. I'd think there'd be more than Stewart involved in that decision!
I'd disagree about the reserve comment. Both our reserves outscored Hume last week at Redcar. Anders scoring 10.
