Workington v Redcar 02/05/26 6pm BSN series
Ajr replied to topaz325's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
What a meeting , credit to all riders, some fantastic racing. Ht 15 was worth the admission money alone. Redcar reserves must be the best in the league both Jody and Ace rode fantastic . Allen good value, Klindt so fast, brilliant to watch. Jeppersened never knows when he's beaten. Howarth great guest.eee Comets were always going to find it tough with missing riders and so it proved. However i would take a loss every week to watch racing of that quality. If you want to watch quality speedway please pay a visit to Workington. -

Just reading about problems at Oxford, do greyhounds still race at Armadale?

Hi just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on this, might it lead to a lot of average manipulation near the end of the season etc

Bit of a cloak and dagger affair, not much info on who's running the show. Speedway Star simply stating some current promotions and additional funding. Why the secrecy?

2026 Premiership is Go! - At least 5 teams
Ajr replied to RoundTheBoards's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Is it the time to drop the play offs in both leauges to determine the league championd? In my opinion they make all pre play off meetings meaningless, they offer no incentive to fans to support every meeting. Why follow your team away when the possibility of a win means nothing. Think this will also be evident in attendances when supporters have to watch the same team visit possibly 5 or 6 times in the Premiership. Play offs were there for the TV. -

Interesting comments by Josh Pickering in tomorrow's Speedway Star stating that if it all goes one league, he will pick Sheffield. So nothing is set in stone yet,, you may not have a No 1

What will 2026 UK speedway bring?
Ajr replied to Lionsman66's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
No Dean all I'm saying is how could you run one league without rider availability? I agree with the above and enjoying your views on 360 speedway. It was inevitable that once a tv deal couldn't be sorted Premiership clubs would be struggling to meet rider demands. If half the TV money had gone into promotion and funding track developments the sport wouldn't be in the position it is now. -
What will 2026 UK speedway bring?
Ajr replied to Lionsman66's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Really can't see how this is going to be resolved. If it goes all one league where are the current Premiership going to find riders to team build,35 team places to fill. Doubling up would not be an option, the top Championship riders have allegedly signed up for next season, who barring foreign riders would the Premiership sign? Without doubling up will the sport be financially viable for a lot of riders? Will riders be poached by Premiership clubs offering better deals than the one they've signed up for? Majority of top Premiership riders have signed to ride in the Danish and Swedish leagues in 2026, possibly ruling out running in Premiership. As a supporter 5 teams in Premiership not enough, the thought of seeing the same team visiting 4 times a year or more if they continue with IMO the play offs would really not appeal. With rain offs you could potentially end up watching the same team possibly 3 times in a month. Would like the play offs to be scrapped in both leagues, don't reward the effort put in during the season. -
Is he any relation to Scott?

thought he was signed on a 2 year deal?

How can you outscore a team and not quaify. So wrong -
modern bikes and tyres, almost require a billiard board to ride on. Really needs looking at in close season
