  1. Well we topped the league table, got the highest team average in the league and got to the playoffs final, so we've done better than seven out of nine teams. Who is the stronger reserve you would've taken if you were Glasgow? I wanted us to get Jody Scott, but no idea if we did (or if he would have wanted to). Same for next year. Jody is taken, surely Redcar will want to keep him. Cooper Rushen seems unlikely to come to Glasgow. Edinburgh will want to keep Jordy Loftus. Of more experienced reserves, Ace seems happy at Redcar. There aren't a lot of obvious options, and some of the teams with strong reserves didn't even make the playoffs so it's not a guarantee of success. That's the great thing about the points limit. Everyone has to compromise somewhere.
  2. Yeah. It's been a bit of a frustration for some fans second half of this season. The track isn't bad by any means, but it's not been what we're used to either. Not sure the ins and outs of why it's changed tbh.
  3. The inside was definitely better than it has been, second half of the meeting at least. It’s still not what it was though. Some races were just a race to the dirt and as long as you were on the fence, you were pretty safe. I hope they move back towards how it used to be prepared, because there wasn’t anything wrong with it.
  4. Very easy to say, until you have to remove another main body rider and bring in a weaker rider to make room for a stronger reserve.
  5. It depends who you speak to. Race night is an issue. The preference is to keep Fridays. How strong that preference is varies a little. But at the moment, the Premiership does not have enough upside to mess with a setup they seem to be happy with (crowd numbers, mainly).
  6. Great stuff from Redcar tonight - I did say not to underestimate them! Heats 14/15 were sublime. Nice to Ace scoring well, Jody's coming along nicely, and Tate had a fine win in his second ride. Glasgow didn't quite fully fire, and Redcar's team are hard to beat once ahead. No complaints, and it's still possible to win at Redcar in 2052 when the second leg finally comes round. It was a mistake to give Redcar choice of gates in heat one though - starting the meeting giving Charles Wright the inside gate really set the tone in the opening heats. We were constantly chasing and we made hard work of it. Still, it's a win. "Only" need a draw now. On to next Friday.
  7. I wouldn't underestimate Redcar. I think they'll believe they can win the tie.
  8. Yeah, I know why your numbers include the bonus 😄 He is very close. But the point was, there are very few riders who approach Bomber's consistency over the last few years. To say he's been poor when it matters is daft. His 13+1 at Armadale mattered - it was a crucial contribution to an away win against Edinburgh! I'd say most Glasgow fans would say that mattered!
  9. Bomber has bettered his Championship average year-on-year for the last five years. 2021: 8.11 2022: 8.98 2023: 9.18 2024: 9.30 2025: 9.35 Now show me another rider who’s done that.
  10. Tigers lucky tonight. Edinburgh deserved a much bigger lead. 14 points should make Glasgow favourites given we'll have the usual 1-5 at home. Also, the track was fine. We live in Britain. Sometimes it gets wet. The throttle modulates and yes, you can still pass. There were a few good passes tonight.
  11. Every other meeting between our two sides this season has been better. Our team has been awful tonight. But we shouldn't have agreed to this in the first place. We've royally shot ourselves in the foot.
  12. Tedious, but I suspect it will rumble on until we can fight it out on the track.
  13. Workington have very little riding on the results of their fixtures.
  14. Glasgow won't pull it back with that team. No Villads, no win.
  15. Very iffy. Could go either way. Currently looking like rain from midday.
  16. That’s primarily because the top league has a TV deal to stick to.

  18. They aren't against it, but it needs to be volunteers, and a team. It can't just be reliant on one or two people because then it falls apart if they aren't around. It does get talked about from time to time, but I don't think they are going to pay anyone to do it - and they do place a high value on feet through the doors. They want the stadium to look full and have a great atmosphere.
  19. As always, it's the day after the last fixture actually takes place.
