  1. That doesn't matter. FIM maintain a clear hierarchy of events, and that's what dictates things.
  2. There is no choice. 1v4, 2v3. High position chooses order of legs, I believe.
  3. Some really good racing from Masters and the reserves, but Oxford's middle order were torn apart, as expected. Not quite top of the league, but we must feel confident we can top it come the end of the fixtures.
  4. Turns out having the lead by heat four was pessimistic 😄
  5. I don't understand Edinburgh's riding order. It seems odd to me. I did think this would be a close tie overall with Glasgow winning on the night. Looking at the lineups now, I think Glasgow might have the lead by the first grading break. Now watch me get egg on my face...
  6. Six matches, doesn’t matter whether they’re home or away.
  7. I agree with this. The only thing I would add is, Joe seems to be quite unsettled into the corner and as both the other two close so quickly, could you argue he is actually the cause? Might seem harsh, but I could see the argument. Kerr doesn't seem to wipe out Lasse though.
  8. He only needs one more meeting, although I can't remember if KO Cup counts. 21st Century would be a high speed camera that gives visual evidence that no one can reasonably dispute. The transponders are only as good as the placement on the bike and even then rely on the wheels being in line, which is hilarious given how you ride a speedway bike. We have more reliable and transparent technology at club level athletics meets, which have even less money in them than speedway!
  9. Flint was definitely third in that race. The transponders have been a complete waste of time and money. I felt Leon probably deserved the win in that race for trying the move! Still, the heat result didn't affect the result on the night, hopefully it's not a talking point come the bonus point. Good performance from Workington, I expected it to be close. Tobias didn't look good, but nice to see Dan looking more like his usual self. Tate looked fabulous. I'd ove to see him in Glasgow colours one day, but to be honest, the way our top five are performing, I'd happily keep the lot of them for next year. Hard choices to come for next season.
  10. You've answered your own question. There was no point. May as well give everyone their programmed rides.
  11. The scoreline flattered the Scorpions tonight. No sting at all. Good effort from Simon Lambert running the bike round for a point mid meeting when both Scunthorpe riders packed up though.
  12. I agree, but it makes Glasgow much stronger. Unfortunately, our reserves haven't come on enough so far this season. Max is taking strides now, but Freddy is still struggling. But we're still a decent side and good fun to watch.
  13. I don't think it's for lack of trying. Just can't get people. Looking at the teams for tonight, I'm not minded to go.
  14. I thought Max did well. Freddy did struggle for pace.
  15. Well done Worky. Glad you're back. Great to see Tate scoring well.
  16. Ablitt's average at the end of last year was 5.04. plus, he gets a nosebleed when he gets past Yorkshire, so there's quite a few reasons why that's not a goer.
  17. Honestly, we need more home fans before we start worrying about away fans. Travelling fans is also an issue with speedway because of the dependence on the weather. How many people will choose to go from Glasgow to Poole if the weather is a bit iffy? For a playoff final, maybe some will take the risk. In the middle of the season? Probably only if they plan to stay down south for a few days anyway. Pretty much every team doesn't have enough home fans to support their costs. We need to cut costs without cutting meetings, and get more home fans through the gates. Do those two things and you solve a good chunk of the problem. Fail to do those two things and everything else is irrelevant (track ownership/leasing aside, which is probably the third big issue).
  18. Yes, the racing was fantastic and the home fans went home very happy with a good win. Nicolai was superb, Bomber made sure he got him in heat 15 though. Pretty much all the riders showed some decent moves. Track preparation was immaculate.
  19. Any. He has a rolling average of 20 currently. It will be reassessed monthly in line with his meetings, just like other riders.
