I believe they could have a choice of rising star riders & if that is the case Leon Flint is still a 3* rider on the latest declaration list.

In all honesty I think Oxford will move into the Championship at the highest. I know there are a good amount of supporters within the Oxford area but they will need to swell their numbers to make the top league a viable option & with news from Eastbourne & Newcastle already vacancies are available

I think one of the major factors in track conditions is the demands on the track man from riders. If the promotion were strong enough to tell the riders to leave the man alone to do his job then maybe we might get a smooth consistent surface. It's all well & good for the top riders King & Schlein to make their demands but the lesser riders like Hume & Nielsen have to ride the same track. As we pay through the gate we expect the heat leaders to return double digits on any track but its the second strings & reserves that win the meeting with a hard earned 7/8 point haul

BANDITS v BULLETS @ BERWICK: SATURDAY, Aug 28th
Technik replied to crescent girl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I hope this go'es well. A new format might be just what British speedway needs moving forward. I'm glad it's Berwick doing it on their own with their own teams, had this been between different clubs then it would only be about winning. This way the teams are level & it's about speedway & not one club. -
Maybe he just wants to keep an eye on the guy that owes him money

King's Lynn v Wolves 26/08/21
Technik replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It will go on the 9th of Septober -
I would guess that only the teams that are looking to make the play offs or have long term injuries will attempt to sign any of the Eastbourne riders & as for the NDL team they will have until next march to clean their bikes

Another trip to Reading for KIwis Mitch Shirra & Nathan Murray. I think possibly Peter Nightingale might have been involved at some point

Bo Brhel & Tom Topinka Czechoslovakia at Kings Lynn

There appears to be a few Finns in this I believe Reading had Petri Kokko & Jarno Kosenen at reserve

I can see your passion in these posts & I would wish for speedway to return to Rye House. however I think your fight is not with any posters on the BSF but with East Herts council. Each & every poster on here weather using their own name or an assumed name is entitled to their opinion & thats all it is I'm sure they bere you no ill will & support you in your quest but your targeted outbursts against any that doubt the final outcome being anything but favourable to you is misguided. I hope you can at least stall the project but like many others I think the land owners have a strong case & their plans to provide a facility that can be used all year over speedway opperating on a weekend between March & October. I have to say that the last promotion have made promises to provide several facilities (Dance Studio, Gym, KTM dealership & a bar/Restaurant) but although some were started none were completed. Good luck

Bradford - under the Ham brothers promotion it was always a show at Odsal no matter what level of racing. Pardubice (Czech Rep) - I have been to the Golden Helmet a few times & it is a fantastic weekend. All 6 rider races superb. Somerset - When it is prepared well it produced some of the best racing. Rye House - After the improvments to the track from the last promotion it allowed some excellent racing lines. Reading (Smallmead) - whilst I enjoyed the Tilehurst circuit I was maybe to young to appriciate it. But to see Per Jonsson come round the pit turn at Smallmead then lock up to pass Nielsen on the kerb of turn 4 to win on the back wheel was a very special night. I also enjoyed White City (W12), Wembley, Edingburgh (Powderhall), Berwick (Berrington Lough) & Workington.

British Final 2021
Technik replied to Midland Red's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
I'm suprised Woffinden & Lambert have not taken the chance to use this meeting as a practice for the SoN which is on the same track -
I can tell you that there used to be a fairly large group of Reading fans on the back straight each week & another on the grass banking at turn 4. A group of Oxford fans were normally found on turn 2 near the burger van & more just after the start line. Speedway fans will always go to speedway. They may not have there own team to follow & support but the will go to another club & I find they are the bust judge when asked for an opinion because they dont have a view based on the host club.

I believe so I think Mr Silver has lived near Maidstone for sometime close to his Silverski office
-
I have no clue. You would need to ask him. I just saw him at Kent before the meeting in the pits area & I think he spent the night with Len Silver. As for his business that's none of mine

Terry Russell was at Kent the other week walking with the aid of a stick. He looked healthy & the stick seemed to be just in case.

Great to see Jason getting some form back. I hope he is getting fitter after his injuries. He looked like the old Crumpy in ht 10 lets hope he can build on that & get back to what we all remember -

Will the weather be the winner tonight? -
The starts need to be looked at with riders from gates 1 & 4 often arrowing themselves to the other side of the track. The FIM regulatoions read 70.10,5 bikes should be parallel to the inner edge. Maybe if this regulation was applied we would not have seen Ht 12 take so long & Martin Vaculik would be fit to race at Mallila. All in all it was a poor display from one of the sports most senior Referees

He may have been in close contact with Pooles Benjamin Basso -
I really don't think that Alun Rossiter or Lee Kilby know anymore than the rest of us as neither has a penny piece invested in the project. Only Terry Russell will have contact with Stadia UK / Gaming International or Clarke Osbourne to obtain infomation or any idea of what is going on & if he chooses to tell his employees its all moving forward then that is the message they tell. But in all honesty its going nowhere & will not be coming back to this venue.

I have to agree it's not the best venue for a GP. But I understand that this was put in at short notice after others had pulled out of hosting during the current health issues. I am somewhat confused over Jason Doyle receiving a starting offence warning after a race that he won. It makes a mockery of the Tatum "N" Pearson comments that "He didnt get an advantage" & makes the Referee look a little stupid. Zmarslik is a great rider but I'm sure the FIM regulations state that riders must line up to the inner edge & he clearly was not, nor for the most part were riders from the inside. Once again we saw a track reserve that was not ready. surely for the biggest event they must be ready at all times.
