  1. That don't leave a whole lot of time to fit in 3 more rounds & the final
  2. The Plymouth fixture has now vanished from 02/06 so it is now Berwick 09/06 that will open the Poole fixtures....Currently!!!!
  3. How is the track holding up with all the rain we are getting?
  4. I believe you are correct in your statement. However at the express decision of the BSPL a facility can be used for a 28 day period. When that period starts or finishes can be adjusted depending how far up the food chain you are. I understand Coty Garcia is stuck in Argentina as they are in lockdown so Berwick will also have a facility
  5. The fixture shown on the BSPL website has moved from 26/05 to 02/06. That's confirmed in my view
  6. The first match will be a week late June 2. It's not so bad maybe the Stadium owners can get one more insurance payment if there is no racing in May
  7. J. EDWARDS 7.53 D. GILKES 8.00 H. ATKINS 5.86 G. BLAIR 4.50 H. McGURK 3.00 G. ROTHERY 3.00 N. ABLITT 3.00 34.89
  8. Jason Bunyan - Multi New Zealand Champion, Rode as WC in the NZ SGP - Holds a British Passport Ricky Wells - Born in NZ represents USA in FIM events. Scott Campos - Former NDL rider was reserve for USA in SWC Ryan Terry-Daly - Races in NZ championship each year then in NL in UK. Rory Schelin - Rode for Australia in SWC & is currently British Champion All the above have represented more than one nation in FIM WC qualifying events. Which boat was your ilinformed friend on?
  9. BWD first rode in the NL with Eastbourne . This means he is able to claim to be British & therefore a reduction in his average. What he may have done off shore is not a matter for discussion regards his BL average
  10. I Assume the top six will get a place in Europe next year.
  11. Many statements have been made over many years at Milton Keynes, Bristol, Reading , Torquay & Swindon but so far not a stadium in sight
  12. I think A simple rule to start racing at 7:30 prompt with no excuse. With at the promotions descretion a parade at 7:15. Then a full 15 heats of PL/CL or NL racing then a 15 minute parade for the victors & a little track grade followed by programmed Junior racing followed by scratch racing or practice until curfew.
  13. The Jawa DOHC unit was very top heavy & did'nt suit the more light weight riders.
  14. I went past the stadium last week & it looks just the same as it did in September 2019
  15. It's a good idea in it's self But the question is will the riders support it. Racing for little or no reward on Monday or Thursday is a stretch if the riders or their traveling party have jobs to negotiate around
  16. It Seems clear that Barry Bishop is positive & has the desire for speedway to continue on the IoW. I'm sure he is aware of the current issues, but he is looking to start in a league that may start in May/June. A lot can & will change between then & now. Good luck to him & I hope it can prove successful
  17. I know CL/NL has been done at other tracks but I really don't believe that the NL side will get much support. I hope I'm wrong
  18. As Mentioned before I'd like someone to try & tempt JPB & Zach "W" back to the sport. As It stands at present I think either would be able to produce at CL level this season
  19. Maybe you should inquire at the ACU as a national championship they will have all the official results on record
  20. I think for the first time in many years the Italian GM has a real threat to it's power unit. After seeing off Weslake Godden Jawa & GRM in recent years GM has had a monopoly over the engines used in most track racing disciplines. Flemming Graversen has as mentioned previously grown frustrated that GM have largely rested on their laurels & made little attempt to progress with any development programme. He has taken the GM motor & made many improvments to the internals. I believe it is still in essence a GM motor but because of the wholesale changes he has rebranded it FGM. We have seen many tuners put their brand onto a unit they have worked on but it would still carry the GM logo.
  21. An empty glass can be filled. A full glass can be emptied But you always need a glass
  22. I'm just happy to get a glass
  23. Speedway is not very complicated but still there are many varied ideas as to how it works to bring in a DLS type system would involve a lot of brain power. The British speedway nativity struggled to find 3 wise men this last Panto season
  24. It is my firm belief that stadium events will not be allowed public attendence until after the Football season is completed. Football was permitted to have limited numbers within their stadiums, This was removed when the country was forced into lockdown . In all honesty I can't see the Goverment allowing the same sport to again make the move. I also look at the Football arena that for the most part is fully seated & easier to police where the public are allowed, No matter how you transfer the limited numbers to a speedway arena the only thing you can count in a restricted capacity is permanent seating. Any standing areas would need to be fenced into smaller areas for limited family members as has been the case for outdoor concerts & this will prove very expensive. May 31 is the end of the football season & not until then will our Goverment allow the public into stadiums in my opinion
