Cardiff Attendance
Hazzman replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Last year's attendance was actually 38k rather than the 40k the media predicted. I think 40k it will be pushing this year, but I feel the crowd will never grow beyond that until there is a British Grand Prix Winner. Previous year I have been 2003 14 in mini-bus 2004 15 2005 16 2006 Full Mini-Bus plus a small one. -
There are a number of reasons I think Tarnow have struggled. I honestly believe that this 8 rider system has provided Tarnow's undoing. It has meant one rider has always had to miss out, and team selection has been hard. Hilb has not been the Kolodziej type success they were hoping, Hlib has done nothing wrong its just his points are not reaching the heights of Kolodziej was last year. With the league slipping up after the regular season, it gives a Tarnow a chance. As you said Sube, it must have been a great boost to Rynbik beating the Champions. If we can compare to English Football, Tarnow have been like Chelsea for the past two years and it looks probable Chelsea will have their toughest season yet this next coming season. The same is happening to Tarnow. Pre-Season favourites Wroclaw are there of course and should be winners provided Crump stays in his unstoppable form. Torun continue to suprise by keeping up with the top teams.

Anyone Taking A Camera To Cardiff?
Hazzman replied to stressed's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Yes, but the photo takers are questioned over their use for the photo. Say for example you run a photo site or just post pictures on a photo hoster like FlickR, you be viable to questioning. -
Some suprising results this week, Tarnow look poor with Kolodziej and if Nicholls wants to be their foreign figurehead after T Rick's retirement he best buck up his ideas. The table is as close as predicted similar to the Elite this year. The basement battlers Rynbik manage their first win against Champions Tarnow. There has been a couple of riders for Rynbik who have impressed me: Smolinski and that rider tied ninth in the average whose name I would struggle to spell.

Anyone Taking A Camera To Cardiff?
Hazzman replied to stressed's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I have read of 'groundhoppers' people who visit football grounds taking pictures and then the next day having Police knocking on the door to question his use of a camera. It mess with exculsive rights ie. Sky Sports. However with Cardiff being the TOP event in Speedway, I can see no probelm, we all know that flash photography during the races is a very bad idea. I have only ever been searched once at Cardiff, kill joys!! -

Is it me or has there been a mass delay. There uses of ? and ! suggest something's happened at the track. Thanks to my superb Russian, there has been rain, it stopped and now the track is being prepared for the rest of the meeting. Of Course, only 4 more heats are needed for a complete meeting and that happened last time in Daugavpils for last year's qualifier. EDIT 2: 1822 Heat 11 At Tapes -

Lee Richardson
Hazzman replied to Vincent Vega's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Correct Col, maybe its the opinion of someone with a homeless club. So then only riders I really support are the Brits on the World stage. -
I never seen the Lions rode but my Uncle did, he tells me stories of old. His fav is Ray Wilson and currently has a poster of him on one of the corners of Custom House breaking the track record. I have a few Lions programmes, including the visit of Leningrad. My Uncle's mate went to every meeting in the season where the league had 18/19 teams?!? 18 of us going Cardiff.

Cardiff Or Wembley
Hazzman replied to Tailgunner's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Cardiff has a deal until 2011. We had a convo on this not so long back and Cardiff won, mainly due to Wembley's positioning in London. It did say however that BSI had considered other venues before signing deal with Cardiff. Wembley looks like it will only be used for three things. Concerts, Football and Rugby League. -
Lee Richardson
Hazzman replied to Vincent Vega's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Very angry on the Brits peformance. First time I have now questioned Nicholls ability as a GP rider, Richardson is out of depth. British Speedway has never had it so bad. The thing whch upsets me with these riders are they have been on the GP circuit for a number of years and hinted success. Now is the time that they should be get prodiums and etc. They have showed no improvement, Nicholls needs to sort out his gating, its the kind of thing that a Conference League rider should be disappointed with. Some might on here, we are being strictly harsh to Brits but in no way are being so. Britain must aspire on its past glories and we are not even getting closer. The comfort net of nominations needs to be taken away, if they are to improve. Havelock as much as I like him, he is not the kind of mentor whose gonna get you championships, Nicholls should be going to people like Collins, Mauger, even Lee for help. Richardson well he nevers seems to blame himself. -

Good, it means Olsen wont have the hand in the track prep stakes. -
Here's my opinion after watching it last night. Awful GP for racing, it was like concrete. Tonight however was exciting for some other reasons, the usual suspects werent not on top form. Good GP - Zagar. He suprised me, I had him down for a two track man but he's was great. His machinery was great around Wroclaw and his cutback against more experienced elders in the semi-final was interesting. - Crump. Just done a typical world champions role. Done the bussiness when it was important is a quintessential trait of a world champion. - Hancock. Well recovered after an awful first round. - Pedersen. His situation was difficult but he showed again he is one of the best. My respect keeps growing. - Kasprzak. Nicholls nearly had him off and instead of lying the bike down in hope of re-run, like the forementioned. He stayed on his bike. Bad GP - Rickardsson. His disregard for the leagues appears to me the probelm. To use them as testing is stupid. Mauger rode every race as if it was Heat 20 of a world final and that's what made him a legend. - Richardson. Awful, truly awful. He's one of the best gaters in the GP but seems to go backwards as he's racing. He's like an opposite of Nicholls. - Protasiewicz. I stuck for this guy at his inclusion of the GPs. However it appears a step too far. - Olsen. Stevie Wonder could see the track didnt have enough dirt. - Lindback. Erratic to say the least. - Steele. Good decision on Pedersen's bumping of Gollob but he seemed to hold the tapes for far too long.

I am sorry I didnt know it was a public holiday.
