Since this is most chat on Glasgow 2022 thought I'd give this a start. I've worked off a 39 point limit based as middle of the rumoured limit changes and think looks a decent side. 1. Blodorn/Lawson 2. Vissing/ Starkey 3. Kye Thomson 4. Danyon 5. Tom 6. Connor 7. Sam hagon If 40 could potentially have vissing and Starkey over Connor? I know couple of "false averaged" guys in there!! But surely Starkey and vissing are better than 5 averages in a lower quality league? I'd also love basso back I just don't see it happening unfortunately

I had a response from Ben duffil on here so there are people involved with BSN on this forum

If gets reduced to 38/ 39 guys like danyon on that average I'd imagine be in pretty high demand. My memory was that he was actually better in main body than at reserve, Berwick away immediately comes to mind. I'd gladly take him back
-
Depending on make up of the league Thomson might be worth a place. Need to at least try n get Basso given he's our asset
-
Aye 100%. Better than watching wells and sedgeman maintain their "false averages".
-
If can't get basso back like to see try for blodorn. Was pretty good at the "test match" think be an exciting addition dependant on the polish situation

You asked my reasons I gave them. You don't like them.thats up to you but we could've won the treble I'd still want him replaced. Simple as

He's unprofessional and doesn't represent the club well imo. Gets too involved in situations shouting and swearing at opposition fans and riders. Wants to be the riders pals like the sycophant he was as the parade truck driver. Throw in countless shocking decisions over the years just a few of my reasons. I'd have far more respect for Micheal but no o think as a so called professionally run club should have someone with a proven record at the job. Off top of my head rossco would be my preferred choice. Or see what Ian Steele is up to these days
-
Yeah and given the rumoured reduction in the points limit probably going to find most clubs running with a 2 pointer. And look at his u21 effort, beat some very decent riders that night
-
Wanting rid of him is nothing to do with winning and losing!!

For my own calculations and as this is one of few 23 threads open, whats the conversation rate prem to champ in 2023?
-
Any Aussies with experience in professional league would come in on a 5 not a 4 I believe. Same for Fraser Bowes

Makes 7 weeks without a meeting all the more farcical. I'm not often critical of my promotion but this, if true, is very poor. Can ride 7 days a week if we wanted but couldn't find a date in this 7 weeks during the summer when weather was great? I get that now we've 5 riders and at least 2 are probably wanting away to warmer climate asap. But imo the issue is not agreeing a fixture during the summer -

Van broke down. Been on several threads now

Don't really get the issue. Leicester have announced that he won't have a championship team place with them next year as moving up to prem. He's obviously wanting sorted out quickly as possible and if Plymouth have done the deal what's the harm? Doesn't effect his commitment to Leicester for next few weeks

How do you investigate if he had van problems or not? You sending the AA round to take a look?

Credibility? In British speedway? Come on you know better than that lol. Honestly if determined to go ahead, Glasgow should pull out add a 10 heat 2nd half to each of the play off finals job done. -
Never said were manipulating for our benefit

Genuinely who cares anymore? Just bin it. It was brought in to give teams extra home meetings and it did that. Now it's just a distraction none of the club's seem bothered about. I feel like I've became more apathetic since one night in Poole happened -
Hope both sides come out with no more injuries. Pointless meeting but needed to prevent Plymouth getting a fine. Hope those who attend get some kind of entertaining
-
I'd probably say they're trying to discourage teams from signing guys with averages of over 8.5 and forcing them up into the premiership, which I know is what a lot of people have called for on here. But if money in the prem doesn't make up for the loss of earnings in the champ and they can't get rides abroad will they just chuck it? Sure sedgy that said it wasn't worthwhile in UK unless ride both leagues.

He was certainly very good in his last stint for us. It's interesting one, reducing the points limit at same time as reducing matches in GSA's from 20 to 10 matches. Might actually find the higher averaged riders struggling for a job. Sam masters for example excellent though he is taking up a quarter or more of your points limit is it worthwhile?
-
Isn't Claus vissing on about a 5 average after his Birmingham stint? Given rumours of a 40 or less point limit fancy he'll be high on our priority list for next season
