  1. Tough one to call this. Think only Tom has experience of the track so going in pretty blind. Hopefully the strength at reserve and middle order will see us through to a 46-44 win
  2. Certainly hope not. Like to think they'll have had some irons on the fire as been on cards for a few years at armadale. I'd be hopeful they'll find a new home
  3. Isn't the polish rule rumoured to be getting scrapped next season? Whether ends up as the solution who knows. Danish league seems to have taken off recently, 5 rider teams might be worth looking at. As far as Glasgow moving up, I heard on one of the BSN streams that Peter facenna had told Ian brannan didn't want to move up until had won the league. That was news to me as have always just said championship makes most sense for Glasgow.
  4. Did it work in 96 last time it was tried? I was a mere naive 12 year old at the time and memory was it wasn't great and was disparity between the sides. I remember Dukie ermelenko being pretty good at shawfield though. Then again that might have been slighted by it being "the Scottish monarchs"
  5. Don't really know who would've, of top 6 in the league only Scunthorpe started season with anything other than an all British reserve pairing
  6. Quick glance at the league table trying to take out results looks like Plymouth the big winners in getting closer to top 2. By my maths: Leicester: 34 Poole: 24 Glasgow: 23 Plymouth: 23 Redcar: 20 Scunthorpe: 19
  7. Hope the riders can get fixed up now. Starkey I'd guess be a man in demand, big stormy looks on a good average too.
  8. No, you and Etonian bleet on about the set up, too many heat leaders in one team etc etc then jump on this as evidence to your claim. End of the day starting team was what 3/4 points below limit with a rider with an average over 8. On this occasion a cheap team was built relatively close to the points limit so why would management committee refuse them entry? Until they got a decent track were holding their own at home which really was all that was asked for. It's a sad day for the sport, one of its oldest, traditional clubs that's ran concurrently for my lifetime is potentially gone. It's no day for point scoring IMO
  9. Again, grant chose to put this cheap team together..if you go back and read messaged from THJ there's numerous evidence of this. Nothing to do with the league set up!!!
  10. Hey basically charges for the outside line and if someone already on it then they should move ha. See heat 15 on bspl website when he got under Nichols. Fair play to him he kept it wound on!!
  11. Nope, him and ulle nearly came to grief on numerous occasions, wide bends to the rescue!!!
  12. Basso in the wars at Peterborough tonight. By sounds of updates had passed Doyle who fenced him
  13. If it's not on should've gone back to old format. Split league into 2 x 4TTs and 1 3TT. Race at each team's home track, 3 winners and best runner up go to final then same again. Used to love the old 4s meetings, great weekend Edinburgh Fri, Berwick sat, Glasgow and Newcastle on the Sunday
  14. At a guess I'd say maybe no one wanted to host it. Seems to be plenty free dates after July
  15. Can guarantee all Poole's top 3 be in the meeting now to make sure capitalise on home crowd since that's more or less all their going to get
  16. Was usually towards end of season, assuming after end of polish regular season less fixture clashes.
  17. I'm not having a go at Poole, it's just usual bspl BS no thoughts given to the supporters. Yeah a Wednesday night, that'll be fine won't put anyone off coming
  18. Yes for a team meeting that are part of tours. Or a grand final. Not a one off individual meeting now outwith the school holidays here on a random Wednesday night
  19. Saw he's riding Sweden this season as well as with Lodz. Agree would be welcomed back
  20. Might as well rebrand it the dorsetnapolis or something and be done with it
  21. Didn't Poole get visa for Czech who was about 8th in their national championship? Also Marcin nowak wasn't known by anyone outside Poland until we signed him
  22. That'll bring the northern supporters down to approximately.... 0
  23. If Glasgow didn't host it their wouldn't be one!!! It's put on by the promotion at their cost. The plrc is supposed to be a "shared event" put on with aim supporters of all clubs being able to attend and bspl takes up the slack and the costs. Surely even you can see the difference!!! And in what world is Scunthorpe northern?!?!
  24. Hope this gets a great turnout for danny. Last of the showmen and a great guy to boot
  25. Not as far north as Poole is South!!! Given majority of championship clubs are Northern now I doubt you'll find much more than a few away fans from each club and huge majority of home fans. Not exactly what these events were supposed to be about. As said before the 4s at Peterborough was always well attended and a great day out.
