Please do not try pretend that that overwhelming vast majority of people are not interested in this. The same applies when a crash occurs on the opposite side of the motorway and everybody starts rubbernecking to see the accident bringing the traffic to a near stand still as people simply cannot help themselves If I posted a YouTube link to the incident right now I can guarantee 99 percent of this forum would be clicking it. No different than all the speedway crash videos having the most views online or the papers suddenly becoming interested in the sport when something like this happens. There is a difference though between being interested in seeing an incident for yourself and some of the absolute drivel that is posted on here which can be insensitive. We have seen this story before with other riders. He is certainly fast enough to be mixing it but I personally think he needs to add a little bit of ruthlessness to his racing. Tom only ever seems to follow the riders in front around looking for a cut back.

If there is a top 100 list of reasons why speedway is going downhill I can comfortably reassure you that referees making bad decisions does not make it anywhere near that list.

With all due respect I was responding to Mr Davie in relation to him saying ‘they might be good at business but not speedway’ regarding the Facenas. I was merely pointing out what the tigers had won and how well they have done without winning the league over the last 8 seasons.

Since 2015 the tigers have reached the play off final three times and the semi final 3 times. Won the pairs in 2019 which counts as winning something, no? I would pay money to see what you would moan about if we had won the league the last 8 season straight. Probably come away with saying none of them count as we bought every one. Try to relax and enjoy yourself Davie boy.

Not sure where I said any of that but I will try and make this simple for you to get your head around it. Ultimately I would be fairly content finishing second in the league after seeing 12+ meetings that were chock full of passing and entertainment and that is basically the story for the Tigers anyway for the last good few seasons. Trophies in speedway are just not quite the same in other sports. Again, would be brilliant to win something from time to time but winning trophies is definitely not the be all and end all in speedway.

I would disagree completely with that. Fair enough the trophies have not been flying in the door but I have never been more entertained attending Ashfield in the last 5 years than I have in the last 20. Truthfully, at the end of the day I would take that all day everyday and twice on Sundays over winning silverware. You want to see the team do well and it would of course be nice to win something but the knowledge of turning up to Ashfield and witnessing top class competitive racing outweighs silverware in my honest opinion.

Not sure there was any other way to call it. Probably the most praise he will ever get as a manager calling a 62-28 decimation job for what it is.

15 races and 15 last places tells its own story. Aside from the result you really need to sit back and soak up how lucky you are not to be watching that absolute tripe week in week out. Absolutely deplorable racing.

Summarised - The old cliche, heat 13 was worth the admission alone. Brilliant to see a new rider to British speedway like Borke giving it a real go. Definitely one to watch out for if you are chasing down Harris on his own track in heat 15. If Mr Cook had turned up tonight Edinburgh could have been looking at an away win. Potentially time for the tigers to start pondering a change.

I think the track conditions today would have been perfect for him 10 years ago. Unfortunately with such a long time out I feel the sport has passed him by, as he seems off the pace. Maybe it is his equipment or the muscle he carries but something is just not clicking for him.

A resignation after this meeting would cheer me up.

Great start to the season for the Tigers but a great evenings racing ruined by that stunt by Craig Cook. I personally found that more than deliberate at the time and going by his tweet it shows it was. But what do you expect from a man who assaults women.
