Ben Basso is an absolute animal on a speedway bike. I would be extremely disappointed if we do not get at least one more season of watching that every week. Truly mouthwatering stuff. Not sure what changed with JS tonight but he deserves a mention. If he continues to race like that I look forward to seeing him at Ashfield more often. -

I have said it once and I will say it again. The camera work from Eurosport is absolutely woeful. -
Today was exceptional in terms of entertainment. Just about every race had passing and when it comes to speedway you cannot ask for more than what you were given today. However, Glasgow track staff really need to get control of the dust. I was recently at Oxford and it was 26 degrees and there was next to nothing coming up until heat 15. Today they watered the track before the kids race and once that was finished it had already dried back up for the riders coming out. It obviously must be difficult to get it right but that was a dust bowl from heats 1-15 today. Maybe need to invest in a new sprinkler or fans could bring water pistols and spray from the stands. All that aside, that today felt like the starter before the main event GP qualifier next month which should be brilliant.

Not sure I would include Masters in that list but do not want to start a riot either. -
Oxford vs Glasgow 22nd June

Another disappointing away heat 15 for the tigers. Could point fingers at more than one rider but that is speedway sometimes. Well done to Hume, excellent performance all night from him and was unlucky against Ruml who always seems to improve as the meeting progresses. On a side note, very sneaky from Oxford not letting you pay cash or card at the gate. This forces you to pay online which includes a £1 admin fee. Can be difficult for elderly people to pay this way via the QR code. -
Glasgow v Scunthorpe 12th June 2023

If it is forecast rain then get the covers down. All this could of been avoided today if the track was protected for the 30-45 minutes it actually rained. -

Rain forecast for 5. The new start time. Unsure how a 30-45 minute shower has caused this much damage to the track. Track covers could have been used in this circumstance, surely. It has not rained once since quarter past 2. -

Weather forecast looking like rain early/middle afternoon but would not surprise me if it is just on and off drizzle. Nothing so far and I would be surprised if the meeting did not go ahead. 15 minutes from track ATM. -
KOC Sat 4 June - Glasgow v Edinburgh

I think you could argue either way over Hume or Nicol in 14. However, it seems like cammy consistently makes the wrong call with these decisions. First time since the Elis Perks pass for the league title I have left genuinely disappointed. The fact it was JS a rider we sacked and who near enough never makes a pass ever doing it just piles on the pain. All the best to Kye after his accident and well done to the Monarchs. Fully deserved. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but Glasgow will need get the rider brochure out and start thinking about a change if they want to win the league this season. Tough night. -
From what I am hearing it seems like Rosco is day dreaming about old Swindon days. Can he not judge movement by the back tyre and see why Batchelor was given a warning.

A fair point. Probably have it that great these days that it only takes a couple poorer ones to stand out. -

Good win for the Tigers. Thought that Plymouth team looked stronger on paper than what actually turned up. I feel the racing has taken a bit of a decline this season at Ashfield. Felt towards the tail end of last season it was getting better and better each week. Seems as though the majority trying their luck round the outside just goes backwards and once they have worked that out it is follow the leader the round the inside. -
Great signing in Basso. Looking forward to watching him improve over the season.
