  1. If he is off to Oxford it does make me wonder who the Lions bring in at 5. Either a new foreign rider or going for strength n depth. Douglas could even return but I highly doubt it
  2. If they could pull that off then that's a decent team.
  3. Now there really is no excuse for Tolley. He can start to build a decent side. If this next team is pants then God help the supporters.
  4. I wouldn't have him back but I think Dickson will
  5. 1. Fricke 2. Howarth 3. Lawson 4. Becker 5. Masters 6. Sedgmen 7. Hagon Just my guess. Can't see Dickson making too many changes and he's like riders who are settled here
  6. Wozniaks last average was just shy of 6 I think. I imagine he would get a re assessed average around the 6 point mark. I can't see Dickson going for any foreign riders, he liked riders he can trust that will probably rule out quite a few names mentioned already. I can see Fricke, Masters, Becker, Hagon, Lawson? , Sedgmen and one other.
  7. I know Sam was offered to manage Leicester years ago but wanted a huge salary. I don't dare post it on here but it's nearly twice as much as Stewart Dickson earns.
  8. The Cairns are close with Greg Hancock who as well all know mentors Luke Becker and William Cairns. So Luke will be a lion next season. I can see Sedgmen signing. He had great start to the season riding at 2 but lost form towards the end .
  9. Lions manager Stewart Dickson’s Rider of the Year was Sam Masters, whilst skipper Max Fricke took the Supporters’ Club award. Luke Becker, who along with Richard Lawson, was racing in Germany on Saturday, was named as Most Improved Rider. What planet are people on? Surely Lawson wins rider of the season ! And becker most improved? HE dropped half a point on his average . Totally mind boggling
  10. Not a bad side just needs a strong reserve to makeit play off challenging. We already can guess Oxford will be strong, Ipswich, Sheffield and Belle Vue are almost certainly play off bound again so pressure is on for another decent season
  11. Everyone has been giving him so much stick it's great to see him interview like this. He does acknowledge that he crashes and falls alot. One post on the Lions FB page has Vinnie riding and everyone commented on how he would hit the air fence and he took like a champ. I'm sure the Oxford fans aren't getting to him one bit.
  12. I haven't seen the photo but it would peedle me off seeing that. I know he's not from Leicester but surely common sense prevails. I think his main focus is the youth side at Leicester, like how he's put in the mini training track in the centre green. Time will tell if he puts money in the club for new grand stand. I know he shared the drainage costs with DH and the Bates when the club was sold. He has also paid 2 years rent up front. If that's keen on the kids developing then surely moving down a league would be the perfect scenario but I highly doubt that's going to happen.
  13. I spoke to Vinnie about a month ago and confirmed he's had offers from plenty of clubs but not from Poole yet. This was a while ago though so things can change. He wants Poole
  14. There was only going to be one winning and that was Poole looking at the team line ups. Poole are deserved play off winners. That team is stacked full on talent. Having Lawson, Brennan and the cook brothers who are all Premiership standard riders was always going to be the difference. Even if the ref made the odd bad decision (which I haven't seen) it wouldn't have made that much of a difference. Vinnie will have a bad one crash one day, I've watched him plenty of times at Leicester and everyone knows there that he is reckless on the bike. I hope he takes on Bombers advice and tones it down a touch. He is a fast exciting rider who just needs someone else to tell him to calm down a little. Having said that he is very young and clearly loves racing . He does have a bright future in the sport he just needs to control his bike better. Seen him crash enough times at Leicester to support my claims. Anyways congradulations Poole! The KO Cup final is going to be tasty for sure.
  15. Poole have the best team all season so I'm cool with Poole winning this.
  16. I love Nicki but that's only because I wasn't a fan years ago of speedway. So all I've seen is the racing highlights and fights he's had with riders. Pure entertainment. Obviously other fans who have watched him over the years will have different opinions. On the other hand I've spoken to Vinnie quite abit and he's nice enough. His dad is alright too, but on the track sometimes I've had to turn away in fear of another crash. I think he's hit every fence panel at Leicester.
  17. Vinnie doesn't have that quality though, Nicki was too good to turn down
  18. Vinnie has to be careful. D Hume is even liking posts on Facebook saying that Vinnie is dangerous. He's going to fall out with riders and others at this rate
  19. I spoke to vinnie a year ago and even bomber told him to calm down. And that's coming from Bomber of all people
  20. It's amazing how all leicester fans saw this coming and everyone else is shocked. I'm not!!
  21. Poole win by a canter now. Killeen out the meeting. They finished top so rightful champs
  22. Spoke to him enough at leicester he's a nice enough lad just always desperate to get on the bike. Think when he goes on he just wants to make the most of it
  23. I've watched vinnie at Leicester plenty of times and can confirm that he is entertaining but also very dangerous on the bike. I've seen him put himself and others through the fence enough
