I reckon that team will finish in the top 5

I haven't really been following much of the championship throughout the winter but I've just caught up on the teams so here it goes... 1. Poole - Who else? No matter what anybody thinks of the side they always end up winning. Also the reserves could be the secret to their success this year. 2. Oxford - Brilliant top 5 3. Redcar - They just build decent sides every year. Really like the Edwards/Jenkins combo, just lacks some support for Wright 4. Glasgow - Unbelievable number 1 and 5. A few riders I've never heard of it in there but I'm sure they'll do well. 5. Berwick - My wild card choice. Morris on that average is a steal and I feel they have 3 genuine heat leaders. Could be a dark horse 6. Edinburgh - A solid side, good strength in the middle but lacks a little spark for me. Feel they may struggle at reserve? 7. Scunthorpe - Not sure what to make of this side, best rider in the league with Pickering which should carry them most home meetings but apart from that I'm not sure where the big wins come from. 8. Workington - A fun team especially at home. I just don't trust Bach and Cook to have the consistency to deliver 9. Plymouth - I actually think its a decent team but I think that every year and they always disappoint. Would love it if they make the play offs but just cant imagine it. Got to say I think all the teams assembled are pretty good. If i was a fan of any of those clubs Id be optimistic of a decent season. This is a really good league this year

Can't disagree with what's been said by the new owner. At least hes acknowledged how bad it's been for the fans this winter. Best of luck to all involved.

The premiership with 6 teams is still a joke. Northampton have no fans as of yet. These are stone wall hard truths. I'm really hopeful Northampton gets thousands turning up week in week out but there aren't even any fixtures out yet. No advertisement. No news. Nothing told to the locals of Northampton speedway. Just rumours. So the people turning up are already speedway fans but they don't even support Northampton. I'm positive there is a new club, but I'm not exactly jumping for joy either. That's because we've lost so many clubs in recent times. Sorry for the negativity but if we all stop moaning nothing changes. Everything just carries on as normal. The fact that many fans online have voiced there concerns of a 4/5 team league has forced Phil Morris to add a new club. I honestly think if everyone pretended everything is great they would have done a 4 team league. Without us negative trolls things would get even worse. Fans have a voice and I'm using it to force change. Change like Northampton which is great news. Shame this couldn't have been sorted months ago...

Northampton will get decent crowds in season one. Season two the crowds will drop slightly, third season they'll be lucky to get 700 fans turning up every home meeting.. fourth season will be survival. Lets hope I'm wrong .

I imagine it does cost a lot money to be a speedway rider but I also know it costs a fortune to be a performing musician. Which is what I am. I've lost thousands over the years, but I've done it for 15 years because I love it.. speedway riders get paid. Paid well. I don't have much sympathy for a rider like Charles. I do for the younger riders but not the established ones.

They will when they see the crowds dropping again..I know plenty of fans who aren't attending next year. It's sad 😢

Well I know how because the landlord told me. He ran the club and he's dealt with bates and now cairns. I'm telling a fact it's as simple as that. If you can't deal with it move on

The scary thing is I stood with Dave Hemsley a couple of seasons ago watching the lions and he told me the rent for Cairns and it's cheaper than I thought it would be. Plus Cairns have paid 3 years worth of rent straight away. So you would have thought Leicester have a great opportunity to actually make some money, considering the track is also available 7 days a week and we get decent crowds. It's crazy how expensive running a team in the premiership is. If Leicester can't even break even, who is actually turning a profit? Nobody Im guessing.

That's a great side. Especially because Simon Lambert won't need to retire ! Or Danny King!

I think every speedway fan has a right to moan given the fact that in the last 10 years we've lost Birmingham, Wolves, Lakeside, Peterborough, Newcastle, Swindon, Somerset, Rye House, Somerset. Not to mention we nearly lost Ipswich and Sheffield this year and most clubs run at a loss every season. But don't worry il stay really positive and won't moan and pretend everythings great! All jokes aside i wish Northampton the very best. I shall visiting next season hopefully.

God I hope it works out. But even if it's six teams, we are still at least two teams shorts of a proper league.
