  1. Id be happy with this. Finally a strong reserve!
  2. If it's a 5 team league Il probably end up going just 4 home prem meetings all season and follow the junior meetings
  3. Whatever Stewart wants basically. He builds great teams
  4. Game plan worked from the first leg. They wouldn't have beaten this Glasgow team with dirt on both tracks.
  5. The only thing Neil cares about is winning. He doesn't care about passing or pleasing the neutrals. He's had this mentality for years and its the reason why his teams are always so successful. I don't think Neil or any Poole fans would swap any of those trophies for better racing. I certainly wouldn't. Poole have an elite winning mentality and quite frankly they laugh at everyone moaning about the track, they do not care one bit.
  6. Well done and congratulations Ipswich! Deserved play off winners in my eyes with the best 1-7 in the league . I'm a proud lions supporter also, we have a had a great season. KO cup and another final is something we can be proud of. In my eyes we have exceeded expectations by getting to a another play off final and I praise the riders and our gaffer Stewart Dickson. I wasn't confident at all last night so I actually didn't feel alot of a pain seeing us lose another final, I was more content with the season as a whole. It's completely ok to be out classed by a stronger opposition. We battled hard last night but unfortunately you can't win play off finals with only 5 riders getting the points in, when Kemp and Joe were getting a few more points earlier this season we looked unstoppable but when there off the boil we look vulnerable. Id like to see a different team set up next year , maybe a strong number 6 wouldn't be a bad idea. We've been struggling at reserve for a few seasons now..anyways what do I know congrats again Witches and fingers crossed next season is great for all involved.
  7. I would say good luck but I support Leicester so I hope you bottle the whole thing...... Anyways if you do win congratulations!
  8. If Ipswich get off to a strong start it's game over. If that happens then fair play Ipswich deserved play off winners.
  9. I don't think walking the league counts as finishing second in my eyes but each to there own I guess. Injuries are part and parcel of the sport unfortunately, Ipswich were unfortunate but so we're Sheffield losing woffy and Leicester losing Becker. I wouldn't say Dan T is Ipswich biggest weapon. Your biggest weapon is your number 1 surely? Dan T is a great rider but not Ipswich biggest weapon at all. Also Ipswich didn't exactly p*as the KO cup semi final did they? Lost to a side that didn't even challenge for the play offs..again doesn't seem like walking to me.
  10. I don't think we choked this time, more like Ipswich have the strongest team in the league!
  11. They didn't finish top of the league and everybody expected them to do that. They also got knocked out of the cup failed to to do that either. They should have walked the league imo. Every club has injuries!
  12. Heat 15 has thrown a spanner in the works but a small spanner at best. This is the Ipswich side we haven't really seen all season, strong reserves and two world class riders setting the standards. I really think Ipswich just need a couple of early 4 2s and it's done. I wouldn't have any complaints either, they were everyone's favourites for the title before a bike had even turned. Proud as a lions fan regardless of the outcome, didn't expect the KO cup or a play off final so I'm still happy with our season overall even if we get smashed at Foxhall, and heck I've got nothing against Ipswich. Let's hope the second leg gets tasty!!
  13. Have hope witches it's early days. It's great being a lions fan, feel like the pressures off a little. Already have the KO cup and so I can enjoy a great final fingers crossed.
  14. I fancy Ipswich overall but Leicester won't roll over like they did last season. Ipswich just have so much depth and quality all over it's hard to look past them over two legs
  15. I don't give a toss about GP riders here, I really just want clubs to stay open and the future of the sport to be protected. As much as I love watching Fricke at Leicester, I'm not going to be selfish and demand riders like him stay just because he's top quality. IMO there are enough decent riders out there to create a bigger league but it would be a watered down championship. I'm ok with this personally, I love speedway in the NDL as much as the premiership. I think Poole are the best argument for my case, serial winners and the I don't hear any fans moaning about the standard or quality of riders, yes it helps they build great sides every year but I highly doubt Scunny or Plymouth fans are going to be running to the terraces if they join the premiership next season. It didn't work for Oxford or Birmingham did it? and the crowds at Leicester have actually dropped since moving leagues. Trust me I would love it if a few clubs could come back and join the premiership, but it isn't happening is it? And who will it benefit exactly? I cant think of one championship club that would benefit from moving leagues. All the people suggesting one big league wont work haven't come up with any other solution have they? What is it then? A 5 team Premiership? Northampton to join the prem for financial suicide? Poole moving up? ( That wont work because race nights) Glasgow moving up? ( They wont sacrifice the Scottish derby) .
  16. Saying that there is speculation the prem and championship are merging pretty much tells me that it's likely it's happening
  17. Douglas showed how street wise he was throwing the bike down after contact. Smart tactics
  18. Yep I wasn't born then, only been going since it re opened. I do hear some horror stories. Times have changed now
