Glasgow Vs Oxford play offs 26/9/23
Nickinho replied to Anzum's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Perfect weather for speedway. Sunny, warm, breezy. Very poor decision imo. What was stopping them waiting until 2pm or 3pm? Oxford isn't exactly on the other side of the world. I struggle to make sense of some of these postponement decisions. -

Blue skies, streets starting to dry up., nice breeze too atm. Personally, I think they made the wrong call on this one. -

I think his contract with Oxford would take precedence over his broadcasting stuff. -
Not a Scorpions fan but i'd suggest Douglas and Harrison for your team next season and i'd also include Ablitt as a reserve because he's really starting to find his feet in this league and it's been encouraging to see that he never let his head drop after a very difficult start in the Championship riding for Poole when in my opinion he wasn't anywhere near ready.

I agree about Josh and Kye but i can't see Sam back for the same reason he left last year (young family based down south). Josh will have a much more attractive average next season than he was on at the start of this season and Rissy seems to have overcome all his ailments to look like a good quality rider again on a sub 7 point average. Kye is a known quality and will make a good number 4 but if they are to turn things around then the Monarchs will need to sign two decent reserves and not just wait to see who is left after all the other teams have brought theirs in.

Glasgow Vs Redcar, play offs 230923

The Jubilee Trophy final is scheduled for 2037. This years' league playoff final is pencilled in for 2048* *weather permitting -
Edinburgh should not take Lasse and Paco back next season, Paco is too often away and will always be a 5-point rider who only turns up for heat 14 and Lasse's confidence looks shot to pieces since his injury. Josh, Kye and Bastian are the only riders that should be in the minds of the promotion going into next season.

What happens if Redcar away also falls victim to the weather? -

Vissing R/R? The BSPA website says otherwise but they are often not always up to date. -

Why are Edinburgh using Sedgman again? Wasn't Howarth available? Or Schlein who knows Armadale well? Sedgman blows hot and cold and with Dayle Wood at 7 the Monarchs can't afford to have only one performing heat leader. -

If Scunthorpe win tonight then they will win the group because both these teams are going to pick up two wins apiece against the Monarchs -
Easy win for the Tigers then if Sedgmen's current form is anything to go by.

Don't forget Jason Connery

Having see the Basso crash on YouTube he gets a really good start and does very well for three laps then Vaculik goes past him like Ben has suddenly switched to riding a lawnmower and i don't think Lebedevs was expecting Ben to be hugging that inside line so slowly. Still, Basso's very lucky to have walked away from that because it looked very similar to the terrible Gundersen crash from many moons ago. There's no debate. Lee Dicken is the greatest Tiger of all time.

It didn't start off that way. I thought their team building was good - Howarth, Richie, Barker, Gilkes and Starke were a decent 1-5 but i believe they brought in Ben Trigger far too soon and Jake Turner turned out to be a dreadful acquisition. Starke was not committed to the cause, injuries hit Barker and Dan and too much was placed upon Kyle's shoulders. Just really tough luck at the end of the day but i thought Pearson was a good late signing for the Gladiators going into next season.

It's definitely going to be a big ask. -
Rub a bit of dirt on it and he can probably walk that off. Seriously though, when did he do it?
-
Sounds like he couldn't resist having a go on one of those abandoned trampolines they have in every front garden in Possil.
