  1. I agree about Josh and Kye but i can't see Sam back for the same reason he left last year (young family based down south). Josh will have a much more attractive average next season than he was on at the start of this season and Rissy seems to have overcome all his ailments to look like a good quality rider again on a sub 7 point average. Kye is a known quality and will make a good number 4 but if they are to turn things around then the Monarchs will need to sign two decent reserves and not just wait to see who is left after all the other teams have brought theirs in.
  2. The Jubilee Trophy final is scheduled for 2037. This years' league playoff final is pencilled in for 2048* *weather permitting
  3. Edinburgh should not take Lasse and Paco back next season, Paco is too often away and will always be a 5-point rider who only turns up for heat 14 and Lasse's confidence looks shot to pieces since his injury. Josh, Kye and Bastian are the only riders that should be in the minds of the promotion going into next season.
  4. What happens if Redcar away also falls victim to the weather?
  5. This track isn't producing much in the way of racing yet
  6. Vissing R/R? The BSPA website says otherwise but they are often not always up to date.
  7. Why are Edinburgh using Sedgman again? Wasn't Howarth available? Or Schlein who knows Armadale well? Sedgman blows hot and cold and with Dayle Wood at 7 the Monarchs can't afford to have only one performing heat leader.
  8. If Scunthorpe win tonight then they will win the group because both these teams are going to pick up two wins apiece against the Monarchs
  9. Easy win for the Tigers then if Sedgmen's current form is anything to go by.
  10. Having see the Basso crash on YouTube he gets a really good start and does very well for three laps then Vaculik goes past him like Ben has suddenly switched to riding a lawnmower and i don't think Lebedevs was expecting Ben to be hugging that inside line so slowly. Still, Basso's very lucky to have walked away from that because it looked very similar to the terrible Gundersen crash from many moons ago. 11. There's no debate. Lee Dicken is the greatest Tiger of all time.
  12. It didn't start off that way. I thought their team building was good - Howarth, Richie, Barker, Gilkes and Starke were a decent 1-5 but i believe they brought in Ben Trigger far too soon and Jake Turner turned out to be a dreadful acquisition. Starke was not committed to the cause, injuries hit Barker and Dan and too much was placed upon Kyle's shoulders. Just really tough luck at the end of the day but i thought Pearson was a good late signing for the Gladiators going into next season.
  13. Rub a bit of dirt on it and he can probably walk that off. Seriously though, when did he do it?
  14. Sounds like he couldn't resist having a go on one of those abandoned trampolines they have in every front garden in Possil.
  15. It's strange that Porton Down is based in Salisbury where the person you are probably alluding to was 'poisoned' and that Porton Down is the site of the Ministry of Defence's Science & Technology Laboratory which according to Wikipedia is "one of the UK's most secretive and controversial military research facilities". It's also strange that the two people who supposedly poisoned him with nerve agent were immune to the nerve agent themselves. Call me a conspiracy theorist but that story never sat right with me. The likelihood is that he poisoned himself after trying to steal it to sell it on and that would have been a wee bit embarrassing for the UK government to admit to so they concocted the story about Russia to divert attention away from the research facility and a possible breach in its security by a former Russian DOUBLE AGENT who could definitely be fully trusted... Anyway, whatever the circumstances and however it went down i'm convinced that Vadim Tarasenko was not involved.
  16. I don't think tonight's result is solely a reserve problem I believe this is a Cami Brown problem and has been for a while now. I'm expecting the usual platitudes such as "Brown vows Tigers will improve", "Brown acknowledges frustrating night" and my personal favourite "Brown admits he doesn't know what he's doing away from Ashfield"
  17. War is never one sided. And the only Ukrainians I have ever met have all been drunken louts so I can't really take a side. Besides, Mr Tarasenko seems a genuinely nice guy both on and off the track so I'm very happy that he's racing for the Tigers. Btw, did you also call for all British and American riders to be banned from racing in speedway during the illegal invasion of Iraq? Thought not...
  18. Howarth looks the best pick if he's back to full health
  19. Are the two Tuesday Ashfield fixtures and the two Friday Armadale fixtures a deliberate thing so that fans in Scotland can see all the home meetings of the two clubs up here? If it was i like it because i can see all four meetings now but others may not like Tuesday night racing at Ashfield and i can understand that.
  20. I thought Diamond Dolls was closed on a Tuesday?
