  1. Rider replacement would be an insult to the fans and an easy win for the Pirates
  2. I actually called a win for the Monarchs although i didn't predict that it would be won in such dramatic fashion. If Worrall comes in for Cook in the play-offs, Lasse comes back in time to replace Clegg and Killeen stays in the team instead of Dayle then this will be a strong team and certainly no push-overs.
  3. Thanks Skidder! I've been checking the Monarchs website but it's not saying anything atm which I'm a bit surprised about as it's normally well updated and not anywhere near as crap as the Glasgow website which is usually about as useful as a chocolate fireguard. Did it say if it's still part of a doubleheader with the Brummies or is it a stand-alone meeting?
  4. Tony Rickardsson wasn't particularly small or light but I get what you are saying. He's a natural speedway rider but being small/light is no use without experience, confidence and maturity. If he acquires all four he will be a very good rider in a few years time
  5. Anyone know when the rescheduled fixtures will take place and if they will still be a doubleheader? I don't mean the exact date as that has yet to be confirmed but will it be within the next week or later?
  6. What was his excuse tonight..? Lee is a nice chap and when he was younger he had real natural ability and could have got to the next level but his 'badge kissing' when he wins Heat 2 has you all deluded as to his ability now. He's still a good rider at reserve around Ashfield but the title is won over TWO legs, home and AWAY and the Tigers' reserves are a liability away from home against other Championship reserves. Glasgow has lost to TWO teams over two legs already in two tournaments this season and it's only the signing of Tarasenko that offers any hope that the Tigers will get a third chance to pick up silverware this season.
  7. Don't worry Tigers fans, even with the strongest team in the Championship after the Tarasenko signing, Cammy will still find a way to lose the Final
  8. Damn. You're right. I was there and i forgot that 11 heats had been completed. For some reason i thought it had been abandoned after 6 heats. I must have been thinking of another meeting in the past.
  9. Should be an easy victory for the Monarchs with Dayle Wood getting an 18 point maximum
  10. I agree. And i've seen a lot of improvement in him this season too.
  11. Just one problem with your theory: Ablitt did score in most meetings even if it was only 1 or two points. At Armadale he got 3+2 if i remember correctly. Nobody is 'required' to score 0.
  12. If he's available then Harrison would be a terrific signing. I still think Dayle Wood wouldn't be so much of a concern if he was in a similar situation to Nathan Abllitt last season when Poole's top order were so strong that they could afford to compensate for him. Edinburgh's top order this season have not been at their best with injuries etc., and the middle order has been all over the place this season. A top six place for the Monarchs is all that is necessary and then changes can take place before the play-off/group stages if needed.
  13. I live in a neighbourhood where i need to check it constantly
  14. Incidentally, in regards to Kye, i also developed a similar type of illness a few months ago, and i ended up in hospital as well. It was in every way just like food poisoning but it lasted 5 days and i couldn't trace it back to anything i ate as i prepare all my food myself and don't eat takeaway slop or open bakery products that half the neighbourhood has touched. Kye's symptoms should clear up soon but the 'mystery illness' is still a mystery to me too. Be careful what you eat everyone.
  15. Is there any word on the condition of the injured person yet?
  16. Have to disagree. This is the first time Dayle Wood has crashed or taken anyone off since he moved up to this level. I've seen lots of better riders who have crashed and taken others off this season. Are you saying that Lewis Kerr shouldn't be riding at Championship level after he overcooked the corner and ran straight into the back of Craig Cook three months ago, taking Craig off and launching himself into the air fence at Oxford?
  17. I was never a fan of Thatcher but i don't think she was responsible for the accident last night or the reaction of the BSN streamers.
  18. Good system but i'm amazed Lewis Kerr and Jake Allen are so high up that list.
