Would also explain the Jack Holder rumours as Sheffield would have to release one of the power three. Birmingham shouldn't have even bothered coming to tapes, They're just going to fold mid-season anyway because the warning signs are already alarming in regards to an uncompetitive team.
-
Maybe the points limit has been changed from 40 to 39 within the last week or so? A middle order of Brennan, Rew & Ellis wouldn't even fit within a 39 limit.
-
Blodorn in a straight swap for Z. Cook anyone?
-
How sure is everyone on a Blodorn return? I can easily see him going to Birmingham in a straight swap for Z. Cook. 1. Kurtz 2. Z. Cook 3. Lidsey 4. Rew 5. Bewley 6. Zischke / Voulas 7. Mulford (RS)
-
We'll find out tomorrow if Brennan is in imo. If Doyle is announced tomorrow then I'm pretty sure they wouldn't save Rew until last considering the management know that everyone wants Brennan. You can work the social media platforms over the weekend / early next week if you leave Brennan until last, Keep everyone guessing for a few days.
-
I can easily see the Brummies putting out a dreadful 1-7 that features S. Worrall, Lampart, Sedgmen & Kerr. I hope they don't though.
-
Ellis was a no brainer imo. Maybe Doyle's had a word as well as I've watched the videos on X with Ipswich riders being asked questions and Doyle name dropped Ellis a couple of times. Ellis said 'Pretty much the same' in the PR which suggests 1 team change (Brennan)

I'm just guessing so take it with a pinch of salt. But I'm just trying to use as much logic as possible in regards to what Stewart likes (Continuity and British based riders) Taking the Lawson to KL rumour into account and that was the 7 riders I was left with. My logic for each rider was this. Fricke (Club Captain and Fans rider of the season) Howarth (Common knowledge that he's signed) Douglas (Stay at a stable club or roll the dice with BIR knowing they could go under mid-season) Becker (Well in with the managment like Danny King is at Ipswich) Masters (Stewart's rider of the season so he'll want Sam back) Cook (Sedgmen or Kerr wouldn't fit if the top 5 is correct) Hagon (Already confirmed)
-
Signed already that proves my point. It's a nonsense rumour that makes no sense anyway, You don't sign a contract if you're having doubts about riding Owlerton as your home track. Expecting Jack to be announced with his brother after the AGM next week.
-
I don't think you understand what I'm trying to say lol. I know Howarth signed long ago that's why I'm saying Sheffield must have 7 signed, Sheffield don't run a circus and you don't release riders until you've got your 7 signed up, You keep all options open until then. I've already said Howarth wouldn't be a replacement for Holder, The whole make up of the team would've been different something like C. Holder, Howarth, Pickering, Harris, Woffinden, Rowe & Gilkes.
-
Think Chris is the sensible one out of the two, Ipswich would've just offered Brennan a better deal and a better chance at winning silverware. Tolley is the same man who said he'd sign Zmarzlik because money's not a problem and then look at what happened a couple of weeks ago lol.
-
Being a very well run club I'm pretty sure Sheffield wouldn't be naive enough to release riders without having 7 signed up. I wouldn't be talking about Howarth being a replacement for Jack, The whole team dynamic would have changed that saw Howarth would come back into the 1-7 with Rowe reverting to a reserve berth (No.6)
-
Puts the Jack Holder rumour to bed nice and early. Wouldn't have officially announced Howarth's departure if they didn't have signed contracts from 7 riders. Howarth would have been in the side if one of the power three were leaving as they wouldn't be able to get anyone better around Owlerton on a GSA similar to Kyle's.
-
King looks like a risky signing on paper but it's also a risk worth taking if Brennan has put pen to paper. King at No.2 with no pressure on him when partenered with Doyle or Emil 3 times a night would see him put good points on the board imo. Like Ellis said last season, Doyle and Emil made everyone's jobs easy.
-
Chris Adams said Brum have lost out on a couple of riders they were talking to so I assume Brennan is one of them.
-
Reading that PR I don't think many of us realised how bad Danny's hand was.
-
Spot on, They wouldn't be able to afford two of them so the early signs aren't good for Brum.
-
Agree, We need as many top names over here as possible.
-
My thoughts were the same when reading the wording of the post on X from Sheffield.
-
I've seen some of those replies on X as well.
-
Significant news in the morning.
-
No brainer to bring Dan back with the -25% deduction. I suspect the whole team will be announced this week as they must have signed off on the points limit already? I highly doubt they'll be taking the planned trip to Spain this year with current events happening.
-
Great to see Emil back. Loved Emil's words in the PR, He is determined to win the league with Ipswich and he's not going anywhere until he does it. Those aren't the words of a guy who's half asked and only in Britain to top up the bank account. 100% dedication from Emil.

The more rumoured 1-7's I see, The more I rate KL's potential 1-7's. And you know that I don't like to give Buster any sort of credit lol.

BV will make the play-offs for sure, Always will due to the NSS form. Zach for Ben is a big drop off imo, Zach's a good rider but Ben's home form was mustard (Had more 1st places then 2nd, 3rd and 4th's) Big shoes to fill.
