Exactly what I mean about learning a thing or two from Chris Louis. The man does everything right. -

Of course they care, Just some promoters don't make an effort to promote their business. They can learn a thing or two from how Chris Louis runs Ipswich. -

British Speedway, The only sport in the UK where.... Lower League Clubs try and dictate the future of the Big League Clubs. Lower League Clubs try and take Money out of Riders Pockets by putting them out of a job at PREM level. Lower League Clubs try and takeaway from the Fans by replacing Top Quality On Track Battles like Brady Kurtz v Jason Doyle or Dan Bewley v Max Fricke and replacing them with Paul Starke v Simon Lambert or Jack Smith v Alfie Bowtell. -

Exactly my point when I've said British Speedway doesn't revolve around Poole's Wednesday Nights. -

It would just be a point blank refusal to put British Speedway first imo. They wouldn't have an excuse about losing money by running on Monday's and Thursday's as they'd have a written agreement that guarantees any financial losses to be covered in full. -

Even if Poole had a written agreement that guaranteed any financial losses to be covered in full they'd still kick up a fuss about Wednesday's. -

Some Fans are advocates for PREM clubs to be asset stripped and forced into mediocrity in 1 big League. I'm an advocate for a Two Tier Structure that see's Glasgow and Poole being told.....No more. Either way none of us can criticise each other's opinions / views without being a hypocrite as we're all calling for a Club or Clubs to be forced into something they don't want to do. -

I think the PREM being branded a failure is a myth tbh. Imo the only reason why it's struggled for the last few years is because of the ridiculous 1-2 Year solutions that the AGM has thrown up because they refuse to do what's right in order to get a stable PREM. We've seen various solutions like some of the following just for example.... 1. Birmingham in the PREM when they couldn't even keep their trousers up in the CHAMP. 2. Oxford being allowed to try and commit finanical suicide by running in all 3 Tiers of British Speedway. 3. Rumoured 2026 solution of having a consortium purchase Northampton and run PREM Speedway at Oxford which is the equivalent of a consortium buying Manchester United off the Glazers and then playing every home game at Nottingham Forest's City Ground. Nobody can be blamed for club closures due to circumstances outside of Speedway like Peterborough, Wolverhampton etc. -

The higher ups have to think about certain CHAMP Clubs if they propose One Big League and the impact it'll have on them. How will they cope with the extra financial costs once Rider demands double as the Riders will have Bills and Mortgage's to pay whilst having youg families to feed amongst other expenditures. Other factors like Stadium rent costs have to be considerd as they won't drop in value because in today's world, Everything just goes up in price. Lowering admission fee's has been suggested but how can they possibly do that when they've got to cover the extra financial outlay? So many factors to think about here that aren't currently being discussed. -

I'm not infurated mate, I just think it's time for change. Multiple BSF members are calling for PREM Clubs to be forced down into 1 Big League and that's fine because it's their opinion and I respect it even though I disagree. I'm just countering that opinion with an opinion of my own that results in the boot being on the other foot in forcing top end CHAMP Clubs to move up. At the end of the day both arguments lead to Clubs being forced into a situation that they don't want to be in. -

Sorry Keith but the Sport doesn't revolve around Glasgow's Scottish Derbies and Poole's Wednesday Race Night's. It's about time The Ford's and The Facenna's were told that, Instead of being pampered every winter at the AGM by getting everything they ask for due to Mates rates. The Sport should always be prioritised and a Two Tier Structure is what's best for the Sport and the Riders themselves. -

Say we do go down the one Big League route, It's not going to be all rosey like most fans think. It will throw up some serious issues that are currently being swept under the carpet. 1. Rider demands will be doubled so Championship clubs will have to spend double the amount of money that they currently spend on the HL D/UP's CHAMP Clubs don't want to run in the PREM because of the extra costs but the extra financial costs will land on their doorstep anyway if they want to keep hold of Richard Lawson, Chris Harris and co. in 1 Big League. 2. The One Rider Over 8.00 Rule for Championship Clubs in 2026 was being bought in to level the League out. How's that going to work out with 14 Teams instead of 9? When we won't even have 14 No.1's to pick from? It'll just result in an unbalanced League with some severly weakend Teams. 3. High probability of riders retiring once they have to get regular jobs outside of Speedway, Will they run the risk of getting injured as part of a hobby that could have consequences when it comes to a regular paying job outside of Speedway? -

Who does One Big League benefit though? Riders don't want it, PREM Clubs don't want it and CHAMP Clubs will have to stump up extra cash as rider demands will be Double than what CHAMP Clubs are currently paying. -

What should happen instead of praying on long shots like Northampton and Wolverhampton acutally coming off. Belle Vue, Ipswich, King's Lynn and Leicester bosses should all apply maximum pressure by threatening to sell up along with Sheffield unless a PREM takes place with 6 or more Teams. Everyone knows British Speedway can't run the risk of losing 5 Clubs all in one go so it'll force the hand and the only option they'll be left with is to make some very unpopular decisions that won't go down well with certain CHAMP Clubs. -

All could've been resolved this week by announcing One Big League in 2026 if the higher ups didn't jump the gun by giving CHAMP clubs the green light to sign 1-7's within a 40.00 Limit that only contained One Rider Over 8.00. All UK clubs should've been put on notice in advance to not make any signings or plans for 2026 until the future structure of British Speedway was a 100% certainty. A mess has now become an even bigger mess. -

What happens for example if Belle Vue and Ipswich join the ranks too and the following happens? Belle Vue and Ipswich to Redcar -> We're having Jake Mulford and Jordan Jenkins and that's final because we're going to give them better deals than the ones they've already signed with you. Riders will have to maximise earnings due to them losing out on a Team place in the UK so Redcar will be hung out to dry by everyone as the signed 1-7 will go up in smoke. Plenty more situations like that will unfold as well due to incompetence by those who run out Sport when they jumped the gun at last year's AGM in regards to CHAMP Regulations for 2026. -
I only use realistic riders who are likely to be in the 1-7 when building teams.

Will UK Speedway even take place in 2026 if Sheffield don't come to tapes and nothing happens on the Wolverhampton front? CHAMPIONSHIP Clubs won't tolerate 1-7's been ripped up and a full U-Turn in League Structure that leaves them chasing shadows imo. -
Don't see how a delay helps at all tbh. It's too late to go back now, They shouldn't have jumped the gun at last year's AGM in regards to CHAMP Rules for 2026. Danny Ford said Poole have 6 Riders for 2026. Rob Godfrey has stated that he's got all 7. Redcar announcing the full 1-7 at the yearly Christmas event.

TTT replied to Lionsman66's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
One Big League isn't possible in 2026 without causing havoc due to those that run our Sport when jumping the gun by setting CHAMP Rules for 2026 at last year's AGM. Just for example, Let's say the following. Masters has signed 2 Contracts, 1 with Leicester and the other with Oxford. Harris has signed 2 Contracts, 1 with King's Lynn and the other with Glasgow. D. Thompson has signed 2 Contracts, 1 with Leicester and 1 with Edinburgh. King has signed 2 Contracts, 1 with Ipswich and 1 with Plymouth The infighting will then begin as both the PREM & CHAMP Team will be adamant about not losing their Rider as they already have signed and valid contracts for 2026. The signed Riders will then demand much more money to cover the loss of income when it comes to a PREM place and bidding wars will then commence. Once the bidding wars are over, Said Riders will then have to be in breach of contract when breaking off the contract with one of their Clubs to ride for their other Club that offered the most money. This will then leave Clubs who've lost key Riders causing a major issue as they won't be able to replace them and their entire planing for 2026 would be thrown out of the window. How many Clubs will refuse to run then knowing they've got a 0% chance of putting out a Team that is anywhere close to a satisfactory standard? That is the key reason as to why the PREM has to exist for 1 More Year and then One Big League can start from 2027. Current PREM Teams aren't happy to go with a 5 Team PREM so another Team has to be found as it's the only solution. If it's not possible for example let's say Coventry, Northampton, Peterborough, Wolverhampton etc. to become that 6th PREM Team then the only other option is to get a CHAMP Team to fill that void for 1 Year. Also Danny Ford has stated that Poole have 6 Riders for 2026, Rob Godfrey has said he's got all 7 Riders for 2026 and Redcar have confirmed that they're announcing the full 1-7 at the yearly Christmas event and that's just what we know of as well as a few confirmed signings. Higher Ups Voiding CHAMP Contracts across the board and throwing Clubs entire 2026 Plans out of the window is also going to cause a lot of infighting that'll see a lot of backlash across the board so that is also NOT an option that can be explored. -

That would be the saviour option that pleases all parties. What's the whisper as nothing has done the rounds on here other than Northampton running at Oxford? -

I just don't see any other option at this moment in time. If a CHAMP Team doesn't step up then we could see multiple PREM Teams not running at all in 2026 and the Sport can't have a that. Ultimatum to Glasgow -> PREM Speedway for 1 Year with Financial guarantees of any losses being covered whilst allowing them to compete in a Cross Border Trophy Tourny with Berwick and Edinburgh. Glasgow can put together a 1-7 within CHAMP rules for the Cross Border Trophy Tourny meetings. After 2026 sack the PREM off altogether and do One Big League in 2027 with 5 Man Teams.
