A bit of morning rain aswell. Then dry and 17 degrees all afternoon. Should be a perfect track

If this meeting can’t attract a crowd after 3 weeks of no racing. And good speedway weather. Then nothing will. 2 top teams going at it. It could go anyway. looking forward to this

With what happened after the tumble (seizures) I should imagine he will miss more than the 12 days protocol. it was a rather hard whack to the head he had. it was a horrible sight get well soon palin

Monarchs vs Scorpions 1st July 7.30pm
PhilTheAce replied to gmuncie's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Palin had an horrendous crashh at belle Vue today in the team GB day today. he spent the night in hospital. And looks like he will be out with concussion. And he’s a very lucky boy as it was a horrible sight what happened. best wishes to Jordan -
I will take a listen. because sadly what happened as taken away what was probably one of the best meetings on Tv with some excellent racing. Which is sad

Wow. Brilliant news.good on them. Just shows it can be done.
-
They have bought the stadium I have heard

Sheffields statement just show a how unprofessional the sport is Surely if you have a section of air fence that’s different to the norm then you have a spare for that specific section just in case for that 1 moment you will need it. not having spares lies solely on Sheffield promotion. The patchy track that caused the crashes lies with the Sheffield promotion. And BTW. Other clubs would have been the same. Let’s hope they will learn from this mistake and go get the spares they need.

No. They can move up. He will be moved to no2 where he will still be protected in heat 8. good on Tom. Can only help his development.

No, I agree. British speedway is harming itself. But that’s just us die hards that can see that. Eurosport are broadcasting it to the nation with a shambolic presentation team. And I imagine any newbies tuning in would turn off after 20 mins of Sam.
-
Breath of fresh air for British speedway. Gives us all every race. Ipswich very lucky to have him. During speedway is lucky to have in. hes 1 rider that as stuck with Uk speedway through the bad times.
-
Yes. She’s the belle Vue presenter on the centre green. The whole presentation skills of BSN is good. I’ve been very impressed with Lee kilby. And I think Phil lanning is very good.
-
The embarrassment of it could have been saved a little by Eurosport themselves. BUT…… they don’t have the presenters who can fill long gaps in proceedings. You get a good presentation team and they fill in the gaps comfortably and make you forget there is a delay. Instead we get Abbie who’s ok but nothing else. And Sam who is a nice guy but is terrible when being out infront of a camera. they also had the opportunity to show some racing from wolves to fill the time. Not the odd snippet of a race. The whole night was badly organised by Eurosport. now I’m not taking any blame away from Sheffield as they were it fault aswell. Yes you can’t avoid a crash like that but you can help avoiding it by not having a patchy track. No one’s come out looking any good from this. Especially the sport in this country as a whole. eurosport are damaging our reputation, so the quicker we can break a deal with them and start using in house streaming the better.

Will be his Kevlar from when he rode for them last year. As they are slightly different

Wolves v Belle Vue 20 June 2022
PhilTheAce replied to Rob B's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I’m not one to moan about the wolves track. As I use to love going there but I’m starting to think about not going to the next leg. why make that inside so grippy that all riders are fighting for that one piece of track. In most races the guy in front was locking up to hit the inside of bend 2, therefor blocking the guy behind. Even if it was there team mate. I know doc is not there anymore but they could do with getting some advice from him because that man could make the wolves track great. mom relatively happy with that. I’d guess Kurtz would score more than rr meaning we get a point. And if that was a 2 legged tie we would be happy. Jye is a worry away from nss, less so blodorn as he as time on his side. that’s the best frickes rode wolves but with it being a haters track it suited him. Zagar had a bad day start to finish. Brennan and wright always in the thick of it. masters worrall and Becker were good for wolves while kemp probably had his best score around wolves. -

British Final 2022
PhilTheAce replied to Hackett's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Nothing yet. Even the riders not been told what’s happening or anything. I know belle Vue are desperate to put tickets on sale but can’t until they know full details from BSP ltd. -
I’d imagine the polish authorities and Łódź allowed NKI to ride in UK but now it’s getting down to the business end of the season and Łódź recent loss at home. The Łódź owners like yeah, that must end. it’s a little unfair that poland allowed him to ride for rest of season but not changed there minds. But at same time lynn would have always known this may happen. I don’t think guests is to bad an option for lynn TBH. Won’t weaken you to much
-
No. But the cup fixtures was before hand. They gave you a taste of the action and then a big break till the league starts.
-
Obviously I can only comment on belle vues fixtures but I should imagine it will be the same for all clubs. Well it will be. We have yet again having to wait 3 weeks for our next home match. we have already had a previous 3 week wait and X2 2 week breaks. for some less is better. For others less is not. Myself prefers regularl fixtures. It’s so easy to stop going after a few weeks break when you have not missed it. man’s when you return it’s the same team you faces 3 matches ago. we kind of accepted the 6 team league last year thinking it was a one off. But not now. It’s unacceptable to have 6 teams and this can’t carry on next year. if no clubs are willing to move up then they need 1 league or shortens the season by starting late April/early may and cutting the season short.

Aces v Wolves. Premiership A - 13/06
PhilTheAce replied to Col's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Finally beat the nemesis. Happy with that. was the best meeting this year there. Some good fast close racing. Heat 13 was worth the money. peterborough sounded a cracker also. Shame Eurosport wasn’t at any of the meetings
