He would, but we’ve done that dance too many times now. We need to look further afield and find a diamond in the rough like Oxford have with Gusts, who has been their only shining light this season

2 from Cook, Kvech or Klindt need to go in my opinion, before the next set of averages in May. If we genuinely have playoff aspirations this season, we can’t afford Harris to be carrying 2/3 riders every meeting, especially away from home. 1. GP standard rider - 8.00 2. Harris - 6.06 3. Lawson - 6.91 4. Iversen 6.83 5. Cook - 6.99 / Kvech - 6.58 / Klindt - 6.59 6. Mid-range reserve standard rider - 5.00 7. Boughen - RS Total - 39.79 / 39.38 / 39.39

Sheffield v Kings Lynn 10/4/25
StarBoy replied to Manifesto's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I’m not saying he’s interested, I don’t think he is either. Just merely stating in terms of a big hitter he is realistically the only possibility -

The issue with Lynn is as soon as they go away and the track is grippy, no one wants to know. They’re all gaters (minus Harris) and if they don’t hit bend 1 in front then it’s curtains and all very precessional from there. They should in theory (minus the loss already to BV and Ipswich probably) win every home meeting, but apart from Oxford and Birmingham lose heavily away and struggle to pick up enough aggregate points to see them into the playoffs. The only realistic change is Lambert, but that would require 2 changes having to be made, and who is out there on a 5-point average that would want to come in? -
Ipswich v Oxford Thursday 10th April

Somehow they’ll manage to fit everyone in again. Manipulate the system to get a rider who graduated out of the RS system in ‘24 back into it for ‘25. Probably next year will manage to slip D Thompson back into the RS scheme. -

Lynn to lose quite heavily again I fear. Never go that well around Owlerton, with Harris being our only lifeline. Shouldn’t expect him to save us every meeting though. 54-36. ST 1. J Holder - 14 (5) 2. A Rowe - 9 (5) 3. J Pickering - 10 (5) 4. R/R 5. C Holder - 13 (6) 6. D Hume - 2 (4) 7. L Flint - 6 (4) Total - 54 KLS 1. B Cook - 6 (5) 2. N Klindt - 4 (4) 3. J Kvech - 5 (4) 4. N K Iversen - 6 (4) 5. R Lawson - 4 (4) 6. C Harris - 10 (6) 7. A Boughen - 1 (3) Total - 36 -
It can if you want it too…

I would imagine in line with the rest so: £15 full £13 concessions

Aces will do a lot better than what they did against Ipswich, so I expect a close Belle Vue win. I’ll stick my cock on the block and go 48-42. BVA 1. Kurtz - 14 (5) 2. Blodorn - 5 (4) 3. Lidsey - 8 (4) 4. Z Cook - 4 (4) 5. Bewley - 11 (5) 6. Zischke - 4 (5) 7. Mulford - 2 (3) Total - 48 KLS 1. B Cook - 5 (4) 2. Klindt - 7 (4) 3. Kvech - 8 (5) 4. Iversen - 5 (4) 5. Lawson - 6 (4) 6. Harris - 10 - (6) 7. Boughen - 1 (3) Total - 42

In Ipswich’s defence, I think at that point in time Dan T had made it into the main body of the team and Rew and Jenkins were at reserve, at which point the rules become very skewed for protecting the RS. It would have been the same situation for King’s Lynn last year after Anders Rowe made it out of the reserves and Lewis Kerr replaced him. Fortunately, Anders didn’t miss any meetings and was riding better than Kerr and Wojdylo so didn’t need to be replaced.

I think Rob wanted to keep the 2 Danes together with their styles complementing each other. With that being said, Klindt has looked off it to start the season. I guess it’s hard when statistically all the boys are similarly matched, it’s cherry picking the lineup depending on the opponent. Whoever we have in the middle order against BV shouldn’t struggle too much, it’s realistically only heats 13 and 15 we may have some issues and whenever Lemon decides to put Brady or Dan in for a T/S
-
Kurtz and Bewley have always looked good around Lynn. Lidsey should do ok, but don’t see enough in the rest of the BV team to trouble Lynn that much. I’ll go with a 52-38. I assume we’ll go with the same order as we did at home last week against Oxford. KLS 1. Cook - 6 (4) 2. Kvech - 10 (5) 3. Klindt - 7 (4) 4. Iversen - 8 (4) 5. Lawson - 6 (4) 6. Harris - 12 (6) 7. Boughen - 3 (3) Total - 52 BVA 1. Kurtz - 11 (6) 2. Blodorn - 4 (3) 3. Lidsey - 6 (4) 4. Cook - 3 (4) 5. Bewley - 9 (5) 6. Zischke - 4 (5) 7. Mulford - 1 (3) Total - 38

I think Oxford will sneak it, but Lynn have done enough in the first leg to make it through untroubled. 48-42 (85-95). OXS 1. Tungate - 10 2. Riss - 5 3. Wright - 8 4. Kildemand - 6 5. Janowski - 11 6. Gusts - 6 7. Killeen - 2 Total - 48 KLS 1. Cook - 6 2. Lawson - 7 3. Klindt - 6 4. Iversen - 5 5. Kvech - 7 6. Harris - 9 7. Boughen - 2 Total - 42

Could be worse, you could be Drew Kemp at the Media Day walking around in Craig Cook’s suit…

Maybe in Poland with Krakow?

The real winners today though… the tractor racing fans

Just seen that they have bangers on Saturday night (15th), no doubt that will mean the track won’t be 100% for Niels’ testimonial on Sunday…

I was at the Lattice House over Christmas - unless it’s shut again since? I could swear when I walked past recently it was still open, could be wrong though

The Lattice House in the town centre is a good option; also Bank House or Marriotts Warehouse along the quay

Premiership 2025 Predictions
StarBoy replied to TheSmiler's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
As much as I want to dream that this can happen it’s going to require a lot of things going our way this season: We will require Kvech or Cook to step up and be a genuine No.1 home and away Will have to get a lot of meetings done by Heat 13 as there could be a 12-point swing in the final 3 heats (using a T/S in ht 14) No injuries which is becoming an all too familiar trend. And if we do get an injury a replacement is brought in immediately of equal strength Winning every home meeting (even against Ipswich), which theoretically should be possible with the team we have, as they all enjoy the AFA Not getting absolutely pumped away from home and keeping it competitive to ensure we pick up more aggregate points than we lose If we’re going to push Ipswich, realistically that means we’re going to have to finish 2nd or 3rd in the league. If we finish 4th, Ipswich will just dump us out in the semis -
What do we think the format and standard/lineups for Puk’s testimonial will be? It would be great to see him get some big names over considering his standing in the sport - but can’t see that happening, unfortunately. I’ll go with a King’s Lynn Stars Select vs Denmark for the format. Standard league match format. My guess at lineups would be: KLSS 1. R Lambert 2. Harris 3. Lawson 4. B Cook 5. Janowski 6. Kerr 7. Boughen Denmark 1. Iversen 2. Jeppessen 3. Jepsen Jensen 4. Klindt 5. Kildemand 6. Borke 7. Knudsen
