  1. Looked decent in the LCQ there. If it was anyone else other than Bartek he would be in the final now…
  2. Are we all expecting Kvech and Cook to return to the lineup for Monday? J Holder is riding in the GP this evening so assume he takes his place in the Sheffield 1-7. With Kvech and Cook in the team Lynn should win as can’t see Kerr scoring 16+1 and Sedgmen 7 again.
  3. MPT is a good shout, however if he’s available and wants to do it, I would get Palovaara
  4. It was a lovely gesture and I was certainly grateful, but it must be a Leicester thing as round this way we don’t need any carers…
  5. Really surprised Dickson let him go tbf based on last nights performance. I know it’s the riders choice, but Leicester could’ve made an offer that Lynn couldn’t match. Would much rather have Lawson over Masters around Beaumont…
  6. Fair play to the Stars select side last night. Although a 16-point defeat is still a decent margin, I think the score flattered Leicester a tad considering my expectation was they’d hit 60 easily. Having attended the meeting, one thing that stood out to me was what lovely fans Leicester have.
  7. The trio of Cook, Kvech and Klindt are named in Lynn’s 1-7 tomorrow, Leicester remain unchanged. Leicester 1. Fricke; 2. R/R; 3. Douglas; 4. Howarth; 5. Masters; 6. Kemp; 7. Thompson King’s Lynn 1. Iversen; 2. Lawson; 3. Harris; 4. Cook; 5. Kvech; 6. Klindt; 7. Harrison Let’s see if they all turn up. Should be a Leicester win regardless. 50.40
  8. Where have you seen this? Rzeszow have declared their 1-7 and Klindt isn’t in it
  9. Unfortunately , his injury occurred here, although it wasn’t a league meeting, it was during the 2nd Manchester GP Certainly something in the air, maybe that old ‘Covinjury-25’
  10. Can’t win em’ all. How did you guys get on at Birmingham…? 😬
  11. My thinking was that we should be ruthless and put Birmingham to the sword. However, if the result and bonus point is tied up early then there isn’t any need to put additional risk on Jan
  12. Potentially 10 if it gets to T/S territory - which is very much on the cards…
  13. I think he must already have new UK kit. He looked racey at the 2 Manchester GP’s and is making moves for Lynn he hasn’t done previously. Long may it continue when he’s back in the 1-5
  14. Declared 1-7’s for Monday. Lynn are hopeful Jan will come through his meeting with Torun unscathed today and take his place at Birmingham. With Jan in the team, I can only see a very comfortable Lynn win. 36-54. BIRMINGHAM: Tobiasz Musielak, Paco Castagna, Jonas Jeppesen, Keynan Rew, Matej Zagar, Ben Barker, Sam Hagon. KING’S LYNN: Richard Lawson, Niels-Kristian Iversen, Chris Harris, Ben Cook, Nicolai Klindt, Jan Kvech, Luke Harrison. BB 1. Musielak - 11 (6) 2. Castagna - 4 (4) 3. Jeppesen - 2 (3) 4. Rew - 5 (4) 5. Zagar - 7 (5) 6. Barker - 6 (5) 7. Hagon - 1 (3) Total - 36 KLS 1. Lawson - 7 (4) 2. Iversen - 8 (4) 3. Harris - 10 (5) 4. Cook - 6 (4) 5. Klindt - 7 (4) 6. Kvech - 14 (6) 7. Harrison - 2 (3) Total - 54
  15. It’s not special allowance. Sheffield now have the opportunity to do it whilst Flint is out, Birmingham could’ve done it when Edwards was injured instead of replacing him with Hagon…
  16. The title was bound for Leicester last year, with Phil Morris doing everything in his power to give them an advantage. “Commercial decisions in the best interests of British Speedway”.
  17. Early predictions for this one? The Stars must be clear favourites with, or without Kvech. Can’t afford to lose this one, with the need to maintain momentum heading into the crunch clash with Leicester on Thursday. With Kvech 36-54, without Kvech 42-48.
  18. I’ve banged this drum before that UK speedway shouldn’t be double the price of Poland for half (if not less) the entertainment. However, attendance money is secondary in Poland. The league is sponsored by the state-owned energy company with revenue of over £15bn. It’s the equivalent of British Speedway being sponsored by British Gas, which we all know is just farcical to think…
  19. Comfortable Oxford win, with Musielak and Zagar putting up some resistance to make the scoreline somewhat respectable. 52-38.
  20. When Sheffield presumably asked the season had just started, so no surprise they didn’t get any takers. You can understand why no one wants to touch Oxford and Birmingham, with both having no Prem team next season. I think now might be the right time where you can twist someone’s arm. We’re over halfway through the GP calendar, people will have capacity in their diaries for the UK - if someone chucks enough at it.
  21. Exactly that. If we want to make the play-offs we need to be ruthless now and make that decision. We have 11 meetings left, with only Ipswich and Leicester away the only difficult meetings. We could win 9-10 of our remaining fixtures and pickup 25 points along the way, which should see us comfortably in the play-offs. We’ve never had a better chance of getting to the play-offs than this year, so we need to go all out and get the No. 1 we desperately need.
  22. The Stars now have the perfect opportunity to make a change in the team and be ruthless if they want to make an end of season play-off push. Lawson could be replaced by an 8.00 rider and still come under the 40-point limit without a second change being required. Im not saying it’s even remotely realistic, but if Rob has any play-off ambitions then we need an out-and-out No. 1 to try and mitigate what happened on Thursday and last night. In our 8 away meetings this season, we have conceded 5-1’s in 6/8 heat 13’s and 5/8 in heat 15…
  23. As always the top end firepower is Lynn’s downfall, especially away from home. In Lynn’s 8 away meetings this year they have conceded 5-1’s in 6/8 heat 13’s and 5/8 in heat 15’s. The last 2 meetings have proved having someone that can just split the Top 4’s 1&2 will convert these narrow last-heat decider losses into wins.
