Couldn’t miss him on that average
-
Maybe they’re going to push some gourmet burgers at £15 a pop 🤪
-
Dan Thompson back! 🎉
-
Fantastic!! Not just for the Witches, but british speedway - Excellent news!
-
The only thing I would change about the rumoured Ipswich team would be to move the captaincy over to Doyle.
-
Is Basso likely to be back in the UK for 2025? Haven't seen anything mentioned about him?
-
Surprised we have had to mention of Laguta on this thread 🤪
-
I agree with you and think the scoring potential is better and there would be 0.01 to spare if BV went with Cook and Vuolas. I guess Vuolas and Zischke would end up yo-yoing between main body and reserve if that were the case. It would leave Blodorn out in the cold, but imagine someone would take him fairly promptly.

I think that all makes a lot of sense... Like last year, the big mystery of the winter will be who can Birmingham get in at 1 & 5.
-
Surely on his current average, Oxford will be working overtime to keep Magic?
-
Fantastic news to get Jenkins... Him and Thompson at reserve will be super solid!

I'm thrilled Ipswich have got Jenkins... great news! -
Oh that is 100% the team we should go for… but can’t help thinking that we will keep King again
-
There is of course a different route Ipswich could go… if there is no Emil and King stays (as I suspect he will). Doyle, King, Brennan, Rew, Kvech, Ellis + RS… fits in a 40 limit Still got the muscle of Doyle in 13 & 15 and a rock solid reserve all season… something to ponder maybe?
-
Someone should snap him up in my opinion... gaining experience all the time and probably a better option than others out there
-
Good point, hadn't thought of it like that before. For me, I think Ellis is still on a bit of a false average after a couple of injuries disrupted his season, plus he has about 10 years on King. Ellis could easily up his average in 25, King will do well to maintain his I think... so if it came to a choice I would opt for Ellis, but totally get your point
-
As much as I want to see Brennan at Ipswich next season, I think this could be bang on the money.
-
With the 3 heat leaders you have got a tricky decision to make to omit one! Great position to be in of course. One thought... Will another club look to make a statement signing and throw money at Woffinden perhaps? Might make the decision for the Tigers?
-
British Speedway as recently as half hour ago promoting the meeting on Facebook… Surely it’ll end up being follow the leader - if you can see anything!?
-
Also if management are logical, they will recognise that Brennan's career trajectory is likely going in the opposite direction to King's...
-
So thinking of some different scenarios... 1. If it's a 40 point limit then you could put the following together with room to spare... Doyle, Emil, Rew, Ellis, Brennan, Dan T (with 25% reduction) + an RS 2. If it's 39 points, then to get Brennan in (which I think a lot of people want, me included) you would need to lose Rew or Ellis, which would be a shame, but something would have to give. 3. If management do what they tend to do each season and retain King (which we all know is still a strong possibility), then he fits into the team in point 1 above even with a 39 point limit (in place of Brennan).
-
Good point... Look forward to seeing what happens Thursday... Glad I'm a neutral for this one 😀
-
Don’t think 12 points will be enough for the Aces. Holders and Pickering very consistent round Owlerton… it’s theirs to lose in my opinion
-
Totally agree… Captain Doyle is definitely the way to go!
-
Everyone can see that keeping the majority of the team is perfect, with Brennan slotting in for King… however this crops up every year and I fear Ellis or Rew will be sacrificed to give King his spot…
