  3. The BSPA have been asked to put out the link to object to planning but aren't interested. I noticed they put the link to object to Coventry out last week though. Tossers. This sort of crap and the way the BSPA played a significant role in the closure of Rye House, it's no wonder the sport is dying on its arse. Not a surprise at all. BMR and Scott wouldn't have hung around for long though with his bankruptcy/financial issues. Always thought the way Musk got hold of the lease was dodgy what with Scott being made bankrupt and HMRC probably sniffing around at that period... Did Scott owe him money(must have known each other through the motorsport/construction world) and offered the stadium??
  4. https://publicaccess.eastherts.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=makeComment&keyVal=QUE1RFGLN4800 Link to object to the new planning permission for the football pitches he has already started building on top of the track. The arrogant tosser(Ricky Musk) had to withdraw his last one as it was embarrassing.

  6. Schroeck used to come out with the same nonsense when he was TM at Rye House. Awful TM who is afraid to take reserves out of rides and completely miss T/S opportunities.
  7. Always thought Garry Steads terrible injury could have been avoided. Jordan Frampton was a fair way behind the action as I recall and just piled into Stead who was laying on the track rather than dropping the bike on a six pence.
  8. So he's eventually found some mug to buy him a couple of bikes
  9. Think that'll be the last you'll see of speedway in Swindon. Sad.
  10. Link should be fine. Must be an issue their end with server/maintenance on the website...

  13. Sounds like Musk is doing all this without planning permission. T0sser. The whole episode needs looking into how he got the lease from BMR/Liquidators, why the planning permission for the gymnasium was never made public and how he has been able to get away with flattening the place when he doesn't have permission and goes against the terms of the lease...
  14. It had become a bit stale at Rye in the old PL. Len Silver put some awful sides together in his last few years and had pissed a lot of fans off with his "I'll do it my way" attitude towards the fans. It needed a change after his 15 years in charge, but he sold to the wrong people and that has seen the demise of the club. The season in the Premiership was a breath of fresh air and the crowds proved that. Rye only just missed out on the playoffs that season in the final meeting and would have had a good chance of winning the league as they stuffed eventual champions Swindon that evening. In hindsight, BMR should have gone back down to the Championship, but it would have been a huge step down after a successful season in the Premiership. I'm sure the BSPA offered BMR money and assurances after they forced fixed race nights, but sounds like they never came and their role in the whole episode is a disgrace They also let Swindon keep their regular race night that season I recall and refused to allow it for Rye even when they knew the club was in trouble due to midweek meetings...
  15. Rye must have averaged around the 1,300-1,500 mark in their first season in the top flight, so it's complete bullsh1t, when people come out with the crowds weren't there. They were there but were never going to be after being forced to run on a weekday by the pair of clowns.
  16. Fair play to Ribbons or anyone attempting to make it difficult for Musk. T0ssers like him shouldn't be able to trample over years of history. The best outcome is for motorsports only to be enforced at the site and this will put him in a difficult position. I don't see Rye ever returning now as the track is gone and lease to someone who doesn't care about the club/sport. The whole thing is an absolute disgrace and the Speedway Star should be asking questions about the whole episode. The role of the two imbeciles, Chapman/Godfrey needs to be questioned as they played a major part in the clubs demise.
  17. What was said in The Star? Did laugh when I saw the headline, "The Fight Goes On". The tracks just been flattened
  18. You mean the bloke who stopped clubs running on their favoured race nights incase he needed guests for his club? The bloke who was part of blowing £500k on useless engines? The bloke who bought in fixed race nights nearly destroying most clubs? The bloke who played a part in the bulldozers flattening Rye House(a profitable business for nearly 20 years) this week? if we're praising buffoons like Godfrey and Chapman then the fans and sport deserves all it gets.
  19. Exactly. Would anyone give morons like Godfrey and Chapman a couple of million quid?
  20. Silver played his part by selling to a bloke who had no idea about the sport and had no attachment to the sport or club. A decision which has ultimately seen the demise of the club. Warren Scott had no real interest and then left the running of the club to Steve Jenson who again had no idea about the sport and came across as completely out of his depth. Had all the personality of a wet lettuce and employed people like Peter Schroeck who was out of his depth. Also seems he overpaid with wages to Harris, Nicholls, KK etc causing issues in the second season in the top flight. The whole situation is an absolute disgrace and sums up the sport and the prats running it. A track with unlimited restrictions, history in the sport and a profitable business for nearly 20 years. Then half a season of financial issues (due to being forced to run on a weekday by the BSPA) and the track is lost and ripped out within a couple of years. Chapman and Godfrey were an abomination in charge of the sport and played a huge part in the demise as well. Two more incompetent fools would be hard to find. Bringing fixed race nights nearly ruined many clubs and cost Rye. Rye has never been a midweek club and it was never going to work. After very good crowds in 2017(racing on Fridays/Saturdays) and only just missing out on the playoffs, you can't blame BMR for giving it ago in the top league again but the rule bought in killed the club. For the BSPA to then just chuck the club out midseason and wash their hands of the club was a disgrace. I wouldn't have thought Silver very rarely ever lost money at Rye and Jenson confirmed the finances were in good shape after the first season in the top flight. Three months of problems and the decisions of the BSPA meant the bulldozers have moved in eventually. With idiots like Godfrey still in charge of the sport, there is no hope. This is the bloke who stopped clubs running on their usual nights in case he needed guests for his club... How did the bloke in there now, Ricky Musk get hold of the venue off BMR? Why were the BSPA not in touch with BMR as soon as they knew they had problems and taking on the stadium or getting another promoter in there? They sat on their backsides and let someone like Keven Jolly try and get a deal to race at a venue where speedway was the number one priority at the venue for many years The situation at Rye should make every fan who has an interest in the sport very, very angry. A club with a long history and who had very healthy crowds in 2017 are now lost forever. A sad indictment on the sport.
  21. Wasn't Ford also having an affair with the admin lady at the BSPA at the time as well? I recall a new account was set up on the forum which spilled all the beans over the episode but was quickly removed by the moderators as it didn't paint Ford or the sport in a good light.
  22. Happened about 15ft in front of me. Horrendous sound and impact and not a nice feeling walking out not knowing any news.. Beggars belief when a fairly innocuous get off like Lee Richardson's can cause a loss of life and others far worse don't see that sort of outcome..
  23. Stuart Robson at Mildenhall 07. Picked up grip and went straight on into the armco barrier full throttle. Thought he was dead. Meeting abandoned and towels and sheets put up as the paramedics worked on him. Ended up with a smashed sternum and pelvis
